Not what I would call a kitchen. Pokey hole someone thought they could do fancy food. Would not recommend 😕

Great ice oat milk latte ☕. Tasty cinnamon buns - other cakes available. Outdoor seating available too. Update: the scrambled egg is very nicely done, not too dry. Update Sep 2022: Still good! Update April 2024: Still excellent!

These staff really go above and beyond, helped a lady who had fell in the road today! They are friendly and do great food and drinks

The coffee was excellent. I did not have anything to eat, mostly because I could not choose. All the cakes looked delicious.

Lovely bistro cafe with a cosy and trendy feel. Their offerings are very different to the Chains or greasy spoons seen around the area...very fresh and high quality foods cooked very nicely, no puddles of grease, nice decor, clean, friendly. Parking can be awkward at busy times but worth it if you don't mind spending a bit more for a much more upmarket experience.

Great cafe in the suburbs. Staff were super accommodating with my 5 year old who was struggling with her emotions. Regular visitor. Just wish it was a micro pub in the evening.

Called today , although the food was ok looked like portions have shrunk , the poached egg were perfectly cooked but toast was not much bigger looked like was little or no butter even though I asked for it ,

A superb breakfast & freshly cooked whilst I waited. Sue had nicely prepared poached eggs. Very well presented both meals. - the waitress was pleasant & efficient with a lovely smile. Clean throughout including toilet. Easy to park the car for convenience. Will call again. Thank you.

Out of 4 waters no-one was caring more about anything than their chats in between and games on their phones secretly - instead of serving customers. Even id food is great - service is appalling

Regular customer at Hudson's for breakfast and lunch with friends. Today’s visit very disappointing. Ordered sausage sandwich and sausage and egg plus two cups of tea. Bread was inedible and sausage had zero taste. Both of us left our food. Cheapest ingredients ever tasted. For £15 + very disappointing. Will not be going back.

stunning decor and extremely friendly staff ordered this cherry hot chocolate it was perfection literally tasted like starbucks and got some loaded fries and they were LOADED! great value for money and food was bussin! 💥

Fabulous full English and Eggs benedict. Bacon not soggy. Poached eggs were nice and hot unlike some places that warm them up. 3 eggs on full English this morning. Pleasant staff service too. Lovely cosy surroundings in winter and great garden space to sit in summer

Went in for coffee which was really nice. The only seats available were in the window, which was OK, but being January and the sun was low, they could do with some blinds to shield you from the sun's glare.

I come to Hudson’s regularly for Breakfast with my toddler. The staff are always warm, friendly and very accommodating.There are crayons and paper to help keep children entertained, food arrives promptly. There is a good turnover of people so it feels bustling but not overly busy. The scrambled eggs are moist and tasty, fried eggs cooked beautifully each time. Really happy with this excellent local business.

The food was limited in terms of the menu but exceptionally good. You really need to try the chilli cheese fries.

Called after the gym for a protein fix (eggs royale) and a coffee. Sat out front in the sun. Great service and great food as usual. Good price too.

Really nice cafe offering lots of different breakfast and lunch options. Their full English breakfast is amazing and would also recommend their famous freak shakes. If your looking to eat somewhere in crosspool would highly recommend Hudson's kitchen

Visited today with a friend I'm from Northampton got to say the food was lovely the service and welcome was excellent highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again

Never been before and was very pleasantly surprised excellent service and excellent food I had a hotdog it came with fries and they were gorgeous and the hotdog bread was great too there is a toilet inside so all in all a great find and will definitely recommend

Definitely bigger than it looks with plenty of space. Very friendly staff and a great range of options. From salads to cakes to smoothies. Enjoyed a lovely bagel with a coffee for lunch with our toddler (they have child seats!). Will absolutely return

Friendly staff. Lovely delicious food. Went for lunch and I especially enjoyed the"deli hot dog" with pestrami, very tasty and reasonsble prices too.

Had chilli 🌶 fries 🍟 and they were delicious my husband had a tandoori chicken ciabatta that was really yummy too

Update: Feb 2022. Dog is still not allowed inside. Response to reply below: I was simply stating a fact that dogs are not allowed inside, for the benefits of others. And this is 1 review, the same original I posted a long time ago. I was more than happy to support my local business and hence I have visited the place. Unlike other independent cafes in the area, dog is not allowed inside.

Food and menu looked lovely but alas never got to taste it- service is woeful! Taking an order and getting it to a customer should not be rocket science - Hudson’s need to decide and let customers know whether table orders, till orders or both -

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Very friendly service. The only thing that the food was too late.. they served two people and the rest of the group waited 15 minutes to be served which wasn't ideal. Would recommend and definitely again.

First of all the food was excellent. It was very busy but the staff were excellent and coped very well.

Service was slow considering what we ordered (basically hotdogs and fries), but the food was okay. Attention to detail could be improved, but the young staff were friendly enough.

Lovely friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good location. Food was quite basic and took a long time to arrive. I don’t recommend the pancakes, advertised as “American-style” but they were super dense, a kind of weird bread texture. I couldn’t even finish half of one pancake.

Staff lovely, toilets clean (albeit tiny but that's understandable given the space that is available). Good selection of drinks available. I like the interior and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. It would be nice to see some healthier options on the menu, in all areas (mains, pudding etc). This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that one point, the place is pleasant and worth a visit if you are in the area and want to have a sit down, brew and cake.

They have been a godsend since lockdown, both their own delivery service & via CityGrab. I miss being able to drop in in person but the veggie chilli cheese fries are a compensation.

Solid little cafe with friendly service and a nice menu. It has ample outdoor seating and is very comfortable given the situation. I enjoyed the veggie breakfast - the veggie sausage was lovely!

OMG the chilli cheese fries are a revelation! Have loved Hudsons for ages, and am a big fan of their eggs benedict. But today finally tried the chilli cheese fries, one of my favourite comfort foods from trips to the States. Best I've had this side of the Atlantic. Delivery via City Grab app has been fast and reliable every time. And eating in the garden at Hudsons is great when it's warm enough, tables well distanced.

Stopped by for some drinks, sat outside as it wasn't to cold. The service was excellent, ordered some coffees, my Dads was a bit milky for him so they remade it with a smile, no issues at all. My latte was lovely, no issues at all.

Slow service. Poor quality food. Won't go again.

Came across this little gem, great menu, very friendly staff. We arrived at 7.15pm so thought we might be a little late to get some dinner but the staff were very accommodating. The southern fried chicken sandwich was really tasty and perfectly presented. The decor was stylish yet comfortable and gave a relaxed feel. We sat in the little garden at the back which felt so tranquil. Would highly recommend visiting this place. As I was leaving I was tempted by their homemade marble cake with was delicious.

Lovely good fast service delicious cakes and smooth coffee the only downside is that its really hot inside a fan or 2 wouldn't go a miss x
