Huckleberry Chicken in East Hertfordshire

This is the greatest chicken shop in the world. I love it and there has not been a single time when I have not enjoyed it. Me, my friends and my dad all love chicken and we all think this place is better than KFC. I would walk all the way across the world to get this beautiful, succulent and scrumptious huckleberry chicken.

Terrible gave me the s###s never order from here again, staff have bad hygiene and very Rude, someone will get seriously ill

The food may have been ok if it had any heat. Really poor very disappointed can not understand why it was cold us we took the food as soon as it was handed to us and drove about 3 mins with it

I ordered food ar 19:30, call at 21:06 to see where order was and told it had already left, called at 21:30 and told they would do it now and get it to me. I would suggest that they don't tell the truth and I would not order from them again as they do not delivered as asked and do not answer questions truthfully when asked. They are happy to take your order and money but not to keen to get the order to you.

Felt fine after eating. Delicious, great place to get a bite to eat on the way back from work. Never felt better no bad side effects the day after - couldn't understand the other reviews!

New menu but that’s about all. Dreadful food, dreadful service, terrible portions expensive for what it is. Real shame used to be really good

took food back as not cooked through no taste to the chicken chips and beans cold took food back to get a refund asked who is the manager no one new his name or where he was all they said is we work here for the min wage funny that i bet they have no nvq in cooking

I was going along my day until it hit lunch time and I had chicken and chips from huckleberry, 1 hour later I’m on the toilet 3 times within 5 minutes have a very poorly stomach thanks huckleberry ware

Ordered as soon as they opened, waited an hour. Called them, claimed they haven't had our order and can't check order numbers. They can't issue a refund. Not interested in helping at all. Don't waste your time with them.

Ordered a family meal it arrived 1 hour late, and the cold drinks were warmer than the chicken. Over all it all went in the bin. I would not use them again. Rubbish service.

The prices have now rocketed to a disgustingly high price, for average food that does not warrant the price tag. Used to get the Combo Box for a reasonable £6-£7. It’s now £9.99. Seriously - are you kidding? Chicken pieces on the bone- poor quality, dry, and flavourless. The fried chicken is by far better quality round the corner at Esem and Crystals and for much more reasonable prices. Won’t be returning to Huckleberrys again.. seems they have gotten far too big for their boots.

Received the wrong ice cream - order phish food & got peanut butter one. Can’t eat the ice cream as I am allergic to peanut butter.

Understandable- the weather was bad. So it isn’t a problem. Worth the wait

Love huckleberry, always high standard, always hot when it gets to me and I always want more even when I’m full! 10mins later than expected but it is a Friday night. Best SFC, definitely recommend

the girl in the shop was very lovely when we called asking where our order was and quickly told us it’s whereabouts, however the food took nearly 2 hours to arrive after it had been ordered, and the bag came completely ripped up with no explanation why

Order didn’t arrive. Restaurant didn’t answer the phone and Just Eat won’t issue refund. Terrible service

Great food Chicken/chips was a little soggy.

Chicken was delicious and moist not dry at all. I would definitely recommend.

Called the restaurant 20 mins after expected delivery time food had been delivered to the wrong address. They remade order and delivered about 1 hour later than originally planned and almost 2 hours after ordered.

Awful awful awful! Freezing cold, soggy & pure gross, refused a refund & was rude over the phone. Luckily just eat refunded me but not the point. DO NOT ORDER

East to order and pay online. Food delivered a little later that predicted but as I live a bit further out in a village was expected. Delivery person was polite and adhered to social distancing putting food on doorstep and stepping away until I answered door.

Sadly the chicken wings were too salty :( But the rest was fine .

Chips needed microwaving, hot wings were swimming in so much grease the box split and the bucket was not a bucket and was split into two boxes so did not hold heat and were very unevenly sized.

Was terrible. 2 hours late everything was stone cold when came!

Great, tasty food (as always) we ordered the Texas BBQ burger meals and we were anticipating a long wait due to the pandemic (90 mins) so we ordered in good time and then they amazingly delivered well over 30 mins early - exceptional - thanks Huckleberry Chicken!!

Huckleberry chicken in Ware would not recommend, I ordered a 1/2 of piri piri chicken hot in flavour (poor) the fries was like rubber, quick delivery service but poor food, will not be getting my business again.

i have ordered from huckleberry twice, first time the chicken was bloody half cooked and i felt ill for the following 3 days and called them up to complain and the manager was very rude, second time i ordered the spicy chicken wrap and i have non stop threw up since i ate it, i called them up to complain and the manager says 'he doesn't know what he can do" worst flipping takeaway place ever would not recommend at all. chips are stale and gravy tastes like rubbish.

This is my second review of Huckleberry Chicken. Unlike previous authors, who appear to be rather hangry when they moaned & too lazy to go to the shop themselves; my review is balanced and fair. This shop is always busy and the reason is the quality of the food is much better than other chicken shops and is also great value. When I went to the shop the staff were quick to serve me and the order was ready in less than 3mins. Really hot food and plenty too. The staff are a young team and appeared organised and happy Thank you Huckleberry- keep up the great work.

Had a mid week takeaway and the food was really nice and fresh and reasonably priced. Will deffo go again to this place. Had chicken chips and coleslaw was nice and fresh

Ordered on 2 separate occasions and didn't receive chips with meals. When rang to complain rude staff and arguing with me even though order was clear as meals. Twice this happened so not just a mishap

My son chose Huckleberry for a takeaway for a birthday treat. Despite numerous phone calls, the food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. It's a shame because the food was hot and was good - my butterfly chicken with lemon and herb was very tasty. It is a shame the customer experience is so bad. Eating dinner at 8.45 pm on a school night completely ruined what should have been a lovely birthday evening. I wish I had read the reviews before we ordered. Please get your act together. We won't be ordering again.

Amazing food. The best chicken wings ever. Try the garlic sauce. Never had problems with them. Definitely recommend

Delivery time was meant to be 90 minutes ,but was earlier ,but delivery had gone to incorrect address first resulting in food being cold when arrived at my address. Asked how to get a refund and was told would take over a week to get it. Driver said food was still hot ,but it wasn't and he also said he didn't have the cold drinks that we ordered,but would get them sent out. Someone from the store phoned to see what the problem was and was very abrupt and blamed the incorrect address on myself ,but looking at my account,it had the correct address,also blamed it on technical problems .The cold drink cans arrived over an hour after the food had come and was warmer than the food had been. Very disappointing meal and exceptionally poor customer service. Will not use again

After waiting almost one hour and a half for our delivery on a Monday night our order was missing some things so we called up to be told that the driver will bring then straight out. After waiting a further half hour we called up again. The staff obviously have no customer skills or basic people skills to be honest. We spoke to several different people on the phone each claiming to be the manager and none of them having anything productive to say about our current situation. We was told that we could get a full refund from the driver who was on his way to us. When the driver arrived he was extremely confrontational, very rude and started to get aggressive. He refused to give us a full refund.It is safe to say that we will not be using this service again nor will family or friends

Good little chicken shop which has a great offer on Tuesdays of 8 pieces of chicken for £4.99..... Food is always nice and service is usually swift

Service and food are so poor.....staff clearly don’t wash their hands and 100% certain it was caused my wife and I to have severe food poisioning ....never ordering again...AVOID AVOID AVOID...

I've never been to this place nor do I live anywhere near the area however over the course of an hour whilst I was driving home I received 5 different text messages trying to get me to sign up to their "awesome promotions" newsletter! God knows how they got hold of my number but needless to say I will never be visiting them other than to tear into them about these messages!

Regular customer ever since opened, twice a month at least. Ordered tonight, delivery was quick, 45mins, what was ordered was not delivered, ridiculous conversation with a supervisor/manager as to what went wrong, he became quite confrontational and aggressive . Very very disappointed, When we ordered we asked for, order readback, which was given so to be told that on delivery and subsequent call that the box no longer exists was strange. Other items were also missing from our order. When they returned with the missing items it was clear that it was our fault for not ordering correctly. Customer service skills????? needs a lot of work. Would not recommend.

Food order took over an hour for delivery at 12 noon. Food was cold, inedible and poor quality. Garlic Baguettes x 2 (had to get them back to try again) had to be thrown away, they were not for human consumption. For an order of over £55 it was shocking.

Firstly, the meal took 1 hour to be delivered which is very long for the food ordered. Then what they delivered was wrong so I rang up to complain. The very rude man on the other end didn't take to well to being told there was a mistake and was quite aggressive. As a result, he hung up on me with no solution being offered!! Poor service and won't be ordering from here again!

Diabolical, ordered food just after 7pm it finally arrived just after 9.30pm. Both my kids had gone to bed so their food went straight in the bin. The other 2 meals were stone cold. I called several times chasing the order. When I finally got through was told delivery would be a couple of minutes. Yep you guessed it nearly an hour after calling it arrived. Whoever answered the phone offered no apology. Huckleberry Chicken just don’t seem bothered about how long it takes for food to arrive I would not recommend them at all unless you only order coleslaw at least this can’t go cold. What a waste of time and money.

Cold, ordered at 7.45, arrived at 10.30 after 2 phone calls. How about employing a few more drivers??!

Awful experience. We are still waiting for food over 2 hours after placing the order, no phone call or message to advise us of the delay and the person I spoke to on the phone was unapologetic

ordered for 19:30 - restaurant added 30 minutes to the delivery time then at 20:00 the app showed delivered but food hadn't arrived - phoned restaurant at 20:15 to be told it had just gone out for delivery - so arrived an hour later than my requested delivery time - not impressed

Very disappointed, Huckleberry! this time around the chicken was just not good, felt like my meal was prepared in a hurry either using a frozen chicken or the one that was laying around for a since the night before. Poor chicken had to die for such an unpleasant meal. So SFC pieces - those were some unidentified pieces of dry chicken parts which don't even have a name, not a single drumstick or a thigh, if i wanted fillet parts i would order boneless chicken! Wings were still with blood.. I have nothing else to add...

Its a shame the service & delivery (which they charge £2 for) doesn't live up to how good the food is.

Very poor service, food was cold and order was incomplete, chased up missing food and was told it will be sent out with next driver, over an hour later no food arrived, tried talking to the idiots but got no where and now requested a refund from Justeat.
