I recently dined at Kebabery Restaurant and had an extremely disappointing experience. The food was terrible, and the shish was incredibly chewy, making it nearly impossible to eat. To make matters worse, the staff was exceptionally rude. When I complained about the texture of the lamb, they dismissively told me that "real lamb is very chewy." It's clear that Kebabery Restaurant does not prioritize food quality or customer satisfaction. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant, as they show a blatant disregard for both culinary standards and customer safety.

Absolute worst experience, The lamb Shish wasn't even cooked properly. And the chef was stubborn and rude. Left the food on table inclusive of the payment. Take the advise, Don't waste your time and money.

First time ever I had a Kebab and it was absolutely SUPERB!!!!!! LOVED IT and will definetely be back for more.......100 golden stars!

WOW, these guys really know how to cook turkish food. The flavour is amazing and meat cooked over charcoal. 100% recommend. The new owners have done a great job 👏

Its not difficult - a burger without cheese & chips (well done). After spotting cheese on burger, it was taken off, but shock horror - I still ended up with cheese on burger & half a ton of yellow chips. Even the server pushed for chips to be cooked, but mgt ignored. Shekos here I come...

Often get mixed grill from here. Tasty + big portions. Would recommend.

Warm welcome, plenty of choice, and cooked to order. Nice touches of having a bed of rice and really nice Turkish bread with a combination kebab. Chicken shish and lamb shish cooked to perfection over charcoal for authentic taste and meat was nice and tender. Fresh garlic mayo and chilli sauce both provided in pots along with a nice fresh salad. A very nice meal and would definitely visit again if in the area.

Food was great and the portion size was huge on the family special.

This is probably our favourite places to eat out in stortford as a family. Space is tight, and the door drafty but the "chef's special" is varied and super tasty and easily feeds the 4 of us; as good as anything we've had in London at far less cost. The service is very cheerful and the atmosphere is energetic as orders constantly arrive in a variety of languages. A real experience - beats a boring pizza any day!

Clean, friendly, fresh food and great price. This was a great find in Bishops Stortford, fresh ingredients, clean, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a walk from where I was staying but worth it. We'll priced too. Will defo return, oh and they cook to order!!

This is a takeaway site, so don't expect a lovely atmosphere to sit down and enjoy a romantic meal. That said this is one of the best Kebab takeways ever. I have now had 5 items from the menu including the family special and not only was the meat tender, and nicely spiced, but the portions are generous. The homemade chili sauce is fresh and flavourful (not hot enough for me but I am an outlier). Really looking forwards to needing a cheeky Kebab soon.

Just had the most bizarre dining experience in living memory. At 7:30 this evening I went into The Kebabery, a place I have frequented on many occasions over the years. Always had great service, great food be it eat in or take away. Until tonight that is. Before ordering I asked the young lad on the till if I was in good time for a sit down meal as I know they stop doing sit ins layer at night as they always have for obvious reasons. The young lad said yes, no problem and I made my order, took a seat at a table, wiped the table clean myself as it was still dirty from the previous customers. Something that I don't usually have to do with the regular staff that I'm familiar with. I was however furnished with cutlery and a napkin. After the usual 15 minute wait I was the presented at the table with my order wrapped up in a bag with condiments in little plastic pots exactly as one might expect for a take away when the young lad realised they had messed up saying "Oh, I'm sorry. You ordered to eat in didn't you?" I then guessed that the staff in there tonight are not the regular staff or they are under new management or something so tried to take it in my stride and just said "No problem. Could I just have a plate and I'll sort it out from there." To which I was just totally ignored by the young lad. Having drawn a blank from him I then asked the two other staff behind the counter if it would be possible to have a plate to eat my meal from. To which I was informed by what I can only describe as a woman possesed "No, we haven't got any plates". Now anybody that eats there on a regular basis knows that they have plenty of plates in there but for some obscure reason the mad woman was adament that I wasn't going to get one. When I further questioned her decision on the matter I was told that if I want a plate as I always have been served on in the past that I should go somewhere else to eat as this woman turned pressure cooker like into a raving lunatic. Saying that she hasn't got time to get a plate as she was too busy even though there was only one other person in the place apart from me. She then went further into lunatic mode threatening to call the police, for what I have absolutely no idea, and the coming round screaming and shouting to the other side of the counter. I thought she was coming round to try and stab me or something. Totally surreal. Having got my money refunded from the ignorant young lad I left leaving the meal untouched and an establishment that I loved using now being one good customer less. I ponder on the thought that if this lunatic woman is allowed to carry on working there and abusing customers in such a way then the establishment itself might not be around much longer.

Really good kebab, authentic Turkish and the garlic sauce is one of the best I had. Fresh and yummy!! Good work folks!!

Best kebab in town. Great portions, always fresh no matter what you get, huge portions. Absolutely super garlic sauce and chili sauce. Salad always nice and crisp, fries made when you order. The staff here are friendly and always so nice, everything packed up nice when it's to go so it's easy to carry. Clean too, really the best place to get kebab and chips in town ❤️

Really disappointed with this place now despite being a repeat customer for a while. The food had hair in it! The food was cold and the order was mixed up. After lots of lovely meals here, we will no longer be returning.

Well managed and friendly staff. Food is typically cooked on order, however in few cases I was served something that was compromised on quality. However the kebab can be very greasy at time Or you may find some big dry chunks from bottom end of their kebab thing they peel the strips from. Something to work on. New management is however definitely friendly than previous one. Keep it up

On a cold, wet, winter night this was a pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable compared to others in the area, the food was high quality and served with a pleasant manner.

Absolutely shocking!! Ordered food from here many times in the pass but the last 2 orders have been absolutely disgusting, not sure what happen to the place but not planning to order never again!! Overcooked/cold chips, raw lamb, missing items, cold food... Please sort out... at the moment 👎

The food was absolutely delicious. We were looking for something appetising late at night in Bishops Stortford and found this gem. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Rice was not available so they had replaced them with chips but would have loved to try their rice. Would highly recommend. Fully halal. No Alcoholic beverages.

I can say in a few words that The Kebabery makes the best Kebab/Shawarma I have ever tasted. In addition, the service and human contact are top class! Me and my family can recommend this restaurant at any time! / Lars 👍

Best kebab shop in Stortford in my opinion. Friendly staff work here. Our go to is the chicken doner and chips/rice.

Best kebabs I’ve ever had. Good customer service and it’s a fair price for what you get as the quality it really good. We’ve never had any problems. Our favourite is the chicken shish kebab and the kebab in a wrap.

Really recommend the Double burger. I must say it's one of the best out there. The kebab is nice aswell.

We love the chicken shish. Often come here on a Friday evening to have a break from cooking.

It was saying was open , also from outside but I entered there and they told me was closed. No sense . I went there 30 minutes before the closing time . I put one star just because the sistem doesn’t let me put 0 star.

We ordered a delivery today and when the order arrived the rice was missing from all the kebabs and the food was warm at best. We called them and the lady was really unhelpful and quite rude. She said that the rice was free anyway - irrelevant comment if it’s part of my order. She said that they were very busy and she basically didn’t have time to be talking to me over the phone. She agreed to send some but that it would be 25 minutes by which point I would have eaten the slightly warm food I did have.

Salad was poor and pickled chilli 🌶was not pickled at all. In fact they was dry throughout and not even edible. Wont go there again believe me!!!!!!!

This is a fantastic takeaway and one of the best I would say I have been to. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. They always have a smile on their faces and always happy to welcome you in. Amazing people, amazing place amazing food. Thank you! 🙂

Nicest Kebab I have had in Stortford yet.

Food is nice but ordered pita and tzatziki and only received one pita with a large pot of tzatziki. For the price there should at least be several pita breads since they cost hardly anything.

I'm really disappointed by the quality of the food recently. I like a lamb shish and the lamb has been tough , dry and over cooked. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one off and late in the evening but that wasn't the case. I've ordered at different times and its been just as bad.

I cannot stress this enough. If you are looking for a kebab in Bishop’s Stortford, go to shickos! This place is awful and so are the people! The food was wrong and they try and push rice onto you on the phone instead of actually listening to you.

This place has been here for decades but not sure if same owners but it's clearly had a refurb. In recent years several competitors have moved into the town. I used to infrequently eat kebabs from any of the shops but having rediscovered this place, I will only order from here now. We have the 'family kebab' meal with a bottle of drink often now and the quality, freshness and portion sizes consistently shine above all others. Well done!

Our favourite kebab place in Bishops Stortford. We have their lamb and chicken sheesh with rice and salad a few times a month. My husband an I both work from home and find this place to be perfect for healthy takeaway lunch. I wish they open earlier so that we don't have to wait until 2pm :)

Came here today as a walk in customer. The customer service skills need improving. I spent a good 5 minutes in the shop before anybody acknowledged me. (They wasn't busy on the phone or cooking, just stood on thier phones) the male working looked at me several times, no smile, hello or can I help you..nothing. The lady on the other hand was helpful and polite. I ordered a burger meal (expensive at £7.50) The burger was okay, nothing to write home about though. The chips on the other hand was horrible! Dry, cold and looked like they had been cooked/reheated more than once! I won't be visiting this place again! Shocking!

Waited over an hour food was wrong and they said they would replace they didn’t show up with new order so rang them after almost 2 hours and said hadn’t done order so we told them to leave it , such a shame as used to be really good

10/10 place. Always order from this place on a very regular basis, my partner and I love the food. Always fresh, comes quickly, and friendly staff. Reminds us of when we were on holiday in Turkey last year. As an extra, my friend ordered me food on my birthday (due to lockdown), and unknown to me, left them a note to sing to me, and I received all call shortly after with them all singing me Happy Birthday!

I ordered a large chicken shish kebab which I have had previously many times from here but it appears that they have changed the style of the kebab as it came on a bed of rice, the salad on the side and the pitta bread separate. The food looked very appealing in the box and I have to say it tasted amazing.with the added rice. Here’s hoping they keep this new style as it makes it different from others.

I have been eating here for two years. Besides the fantastic friendly staff.... the food is excellent. I would highly recommend these...1) The Lamb Doner Kabab 2) Mixed Doner Kabab (lamb and chicken) 3) Burgers, especially the massive half pounder 4) Halloumi wrap 5) French fries - really nice, crispy and fluffy. I did not like the chicken doner on its own, its very flavourless so I ordered it (it smells nice) always as mixed doner kabab (lamb and chicken) which works really well together. Their burgers are amazing as they flame grill the patties and heat the buns on the same grill. The buns are not the cheap ones either. Only thing missing is a bit of fried onions inside (but im being picky!) Halloumy wrap is delicious and filling, you wont really need nuch else with it. The sheek/sheesh kababs however are ok if you are craving them but I found they lack in flavour. You have to add a lot of the chilli/garlic sauce to make it work so I generally avoid those. I really enjoy eating here, the items that I like are always nice and tasty with good portions. Only downside is they are a bit on the expensive side - but I understand this is not London. If you are around the area, grab yourself a bite to eat here.

A great place to pop into for a good range of kebabs and vegetarian options. The staff are always friendly. The chips are always great. Sometimes the service is a little slow and the salad can be a little wet, I assume from being freshly prepared.

The shish and kebabs in this place are superb. Actually, what is better is the service of the people working there.
