Huckleberry Chicken in East Hertfordshire

I FOUND A F*CKING FLY IN MY FOOD! A refund? God forbid. He insisted we could not request a refund because I had a few bites not realizing a fly was in my food. Disgusting.

We ordered our lunch on Deliveroo, while waiting for our train, hoping that one hour and half were enough to ingest the poultry and trot to the station (10m walk) Unfortunately, while the application said that our order was still in progress, little did we know that the food was being (probably?) thrown away because of a little controversy regarding the address. I don't wanna talk about the food waste, which is a huge problem in the historical period we're living in (y'all know this), but I'd like to specify that the employee who we called was very rude towards us, reaching a level where yelling to us looked like his only way to express his feelings towards the wasted breaded chickens. I'd recommend this place for it's fantastic chicken, but PLEASE be careful when you put your address, as you could end as a target for spine-chilling and malevolent shrieks.

I ordered a large coke and was given a can of coke I then called them up an told them wat happened I was told I can get a free item next time I order but was never told how I will be given that free item. Also I was given a drumstick the size of my thumb

Food was OK, nothing special. I haven’t been back since my first visit and I have no intention to return. Just another average place. Shame.

They missed a wrap from my box meal, can't phone them to get it recififed because they shut at 9pm. Absolutely useless

We ordered for my nieces birthday there was 8 of us. Offered online Took 50 mins for delivery (which I didn't think was bad) Missing this missing that and 95% was cold. Phoned to speak to someone to get told ad we ordered online it's nothing to do with them. Then they were rude and said you can have 15% of ya next order . We was like no thank you next minute get shouted at saying someone will be at your door with£20 soon. 2 hours later nothing so I ring again and they know nothing about it apparently. 10 mins later door goes rude women goes here you go have that. Stear clear

bought my son walt jr a southern fried chicken burger for breakfast which he enjoyed very much i will be coming back to this establishment, much better than los pollos hermanos!!

I ordered some food from Huckleberry Bishops Stortford and although it did arrive fairly promptly half my order was missing. When I called they said I had to speak to deliveroo, even though I pointed out that it was their fault for not putting the full order in the bag. The man on the phone was patronising and rude, simply saying ‘sorry darling’. Deliveroo said they couldn’t help so I called huckleberry back and the said they’d send out the rest of my order however it never arrived. Safe to say I will not be showing huckleberry my custom again, complete waste of money!

Had our order from Bishops Stortford delivered by UberEats. An item was missing but on phoning the shop I was told quite bluntly that he put it in and couldn’t help me, get a refund from UberEats. This response came before he’d got much details from me , as if it was a frequently used answer. The food that did arrive was awful and the chicken wing ‘roulette’ consisted of 2 flavours. UberEats charged almost £5 extra for delivery and ‘service charge’ (whatever that was) then had the audacity to suggest a 15% tip for the driver! Will not use either again.

Gave up on the chingford shop ages ago …. Didn’t think broxborne could possibly be as bad …. Nope it was worse….well overpriced and mediocre quality and the staff seem unable to take an order without getting it wrong every single time

Ate my food last night and thought it was cooked fine however this morning I have been so Ill and very sick

Ordered 2 texas bbq baguettes, recieved one and one with just mayo and chicken, no bbq sauce or hash brown.

Their chips are amazing and the vegan burger is one of the best burgers I have ever had, vegan or not. Will definitely reorder. My wife eats meat and loves the menu.

poo customer service no bottled water and no salt on chips. wouldn’t recommend if you want a good meal

If I could give 0 stars I would!!Absolutely do not use Huckleberry Chicken!!Ordered last night and only half my order turned up and when we called them to advise them they said its not their problem as we ordered through deliveroo but this is the only way we can order through them!They were disgusting on the phone to us and didn't want to help us!!Avoid and eat elsewhere!!Do not go here!!

My husband ordered grilled chicken, when he arrived food he was met by a 'gentlemen' who described himself as the franchise owner. The order was late and he said he would take 20 minutes to cook. I then took out 2 pieces of old chicken from a drawer which he threw on the grill. It looked as it was someone lunch leftovers. My husband questioned whether this was fresh. The manager (clearly he hadn't washed or shaven) became rude and aggressive and retorted "do you want your chicken under-cooked or burnt"!!!. My husband in disbelief asked whether that was serious question, The franchise owner than proceeded to take out the payment from the till and asked him to leave !!! In shock he left thinking it was a godsend. There was no COVID-19 distancing, hand-gel or any cleaning being undertaken when customers arrive or leave. No staff were using hair hats, or even looked clean. This franchise won't last long with that type of hygiene and 'customer service'. Close call. Never again. AVOID - plenty of nice takeaways and business owners in Bishop's Stortford. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Just ordered 4 meals (which the guy on the phone repeated back to me) then waited almost an hour for delivery. The driver gave us a bag and by the time we realised that half of the meals and drinks were missing he was gone. Phoned the shop and the guy said he would send the driver back. Waited another 20 minutes and called back. A girl answered the phone, she was disgustingly rude. She told me I hadn’t even made an order, tutted at me and sighed, told me I was wrong then put the phone down on me! I called back and asked to speak to a manager and was told there isn’t one! Then they put the phone down again! Terrible terrible service. Won’t use again.

Love the food here but delivery always takes an hour or more . Shocking delivery service doesn't matter if it's a saturday night or tuesday always takes too long

i was in huckleberry chicken bishops stortford last week and i was waiting 45 minutes for a £10 meal which for me was too long. however it was a very nice meal

No one and I mean no one order or eat food from this place I had raw chicken and when I went through the bag there was what looked like rat droppings

This restaurant should be investigated, My child could have had a serious case of food poisoning. Serving children raw chicken burgers.. They do not take anything seriously in this branch, Where are the managers.. how many bad experiences will it take for action to be taken!FULL REFUND EXPECTED WHEN IM NEXT PASSING!

90 minutes for a takeaway on a Tuesday night and the worse thing is that I only ordered a warm waffle and popcorn chicken!! Shocking it wasn’t even warm when it arrived! Not even offered a refund

I always love eating here! The popcorn chicken is lovely. However, I have discovered that the prices have risen. I usually pay £5.65 for a SFC wrap meal but it has increased up to £6.30!! It makes me not want to eat here that much as it isn’t worth that much as I don’t have much money. Please change it back!!!

Awful customer service. We always receive the delivery an hour late and wrong order. Today will certainly be the last time. They are so rude and don’t admit their mistakes. Most places that focus on take-aways offer bland and usually sloppy fare, but Huckleberry Chicken is not one of them.

I visit this outlet after work and on my way home. I buy the Dipping box and I have always been satisfied. The food is cooked, and swerved hot with really great dips. Well worth visiting on your way home from work or an evening out.

The most awful service I have ever received. Manager Alex - told me to stop talking and listen to him! twice. Rude and completely disrespectful. Will never order again.

Had boneless bucket.. chicken ok chips reheated. Driver very very rude banged on the door as I was getting up banged again bare in mind it was late and had children asleep. Chucked good at me and said bye!

Took 1 hour and 25 mins to be delivered. Payed £25 and half order missing. For a Monday night poor service and defo not worth the money!!

My kids were not well on mother's day so we had to cancel our booking. Just came randomly on their website. The delivery was quick we all loved it. Very much recommended

This shop has been open for a few months now and the food is ok for what it is, however, the bags they use are atrocious. the grips fall off and they try to pack too much in. Out of 5 visit now, 3 visits has resulted in my takeaway food falling out of my hands because the paper bags have split open leaving the contents of the food on the pavement as I'm walking back to the car or home. Really poor quality. replacement bags are always given but it appears this is a well known issue for them because they have spare plastic bags on the ready. My issue is if they know their bags are sub standard and have others at the ready, they really shouldn't be using them in the first place. It has put me off buying from there but sometimes the family over rule that decision and I end up doing the same thing. Rather annoying. You don't want to spend 30 quid to eat off the floor..!!
