Room as described apart from the smart TV wasn't working properly and could only access the Freeview channels. The movies and catch up did not work at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was awful. They charged £11 for a frozen pizza and the choice of food was very limited with either two varieties of pizza or tortillas and dip. We definitely do not recommend using the taxi service by the reception desk. The driver took ages to arrive and could not understand English very well. Even though we told the phone operator that we were going to a well known building, the driver went the complete wrong way, needed us to provide a postcode and then didn't deduct the cost of taking us to the wrong place. He also refused to give us our change. The driver also started the journey with the starting cost of £4.80 and on tariff 3 at 8pm on a Monday night. After speaking to a couple of other taxi drivers we were told that the journey should have cost no more than £5, not double that and that he should not have charged us for getting lost and he definitely shouldn't have been on tariff 3 and £4.80 starting cost. Please avoid at all costs. It's much easier and cheaper to get a taxi from the train station.

When I checked in they were not very pleasant. Seemed a bit annoyed for me to even be there. The room had mold in the shower a ton of it, not just a spot! Also the paint in the bathroom was clearly pealing off! We had to ask for more towels (they knew TWO people were staying in the room) and when we did the front desk guy was not happy about it. Again horrible customer service. The location was ok. Not far from waverly train station.

First and last time I visit that "hotel". After a whole day walking the streets of Edinburgh, we arrived at the hotel and they gave us the dirtiest room they had. I go downstairs, request a change after explaining the situation and they give me another key. When I went up to the other room and to no one's surprise it was as dirty as the previous one. I go down and tell him that so as not to lose the money and because it was already quite late that we would be staying there. After all, we would only sleep and shower there because we were out visiting the city every day. To which he tells me that they would clean the room every day at 8am, which did not happen. We arrived in the afternoon of the next day, the room was dirty and the receptionist told me that he would clean it himself when we went out to dinner. He didn't do it. Just saying that you ran your finger along the toilet paper shelf and your finger was covered in dust...I'm attaching photos. Do not stay at this hotel, in the end cheap is expensive and can ruin your vacation.

Great location between multiple tourist hotspot. Based on the price for the room it's quite a value, only complain is that there would be nice with somewhere to hang the towels and not just up above the shower frame.

Breakfast very good, staff very friendly, room really small (maybe little too small), bathroom could be cleaner (it's ok, but...) Generally it's a good hotel, located near Royal Mile, next to Costa Cafe and Brewdog Restaurant.

I want to start by saying the staff were generally very nice and helpful. When we got to the room, the air conditioning wouldn’t work and the shower wouldn’t drain at all (it was clogged with so much dirt and hair 🤢) and the bathroom was covered in mould. Got moved to another room the day after and the same thing with the air conditioning, hardly anything came out which is awful when you can’t open the window in the room it’s so unbelievably stuffy. The beds were quite uncomfortable so it was a horrible time trying to sleep. For the amount we paid I excepted the room to at least be clean and have a working air conditioner. Incredibly disappointing

Grubby. Look at reviews of this with "dirty" as a keyword and you'll find plenty that if read by the owners, are certainly ignored. The rooms are tiny with the bed against the wall, so not for practical sleeping as a couple, especially if you are elderly. The bed was comfy, but nowhere to put anything like you would at home like your drink, phone or a book. We never got the hang of the panel in the wall that controls all the lights and heating, there are no instructions in the room. This panel is right where you sleep by your head so you can suddenly turn things on if you move in the night. Back to the dirt, we asked for the room to be cleaned as the bathroom was so thick with grime you could write in it and the carpet was covered in bits. All they did was make the bed and change the hand towel. This wasn't a horrendous stay, more disappointing that we paid well over the odds to stay in a place that obviously does not care about its customers' health, comfort or opinion or its own reputation. It's like an expensive hostel. The whole place has an air of shabbiness, especially the carpets and the brand is one to avoid now.

Absolutely brilliant location just a short walk from Waverley train station. Nextdoor to a Costa and close to several bars and restaurants. Considering it's central location just off the Royal Mile, I didn't hear a peep out of anyone from my room! My room and the hotel were very clean and well kept. My only slight complaint is the air con didn't seem to work very well and was quite noisy.

Perfect hotel! Staff were incredible, friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and smart with lots of smart features. Complimentary tea and coffee - including cappuccinos! Food was also really nice and very fast service. Brilliant location, minutes walk from the train station and shops! Would highly recommend and hope to be back again!

Stayed here before when it was new, and had a good experience. A few years later and it feels like there's too many corners being cut to keep the price low. Primarily our issue was with the air conditioning in the room, which was loud but did very little to cool the room. The room was significantly warmer than the corridors and outside. Of course the windows couldn't be opened to compensate. Wallpaper was peeling on the walls, and the bed was weirdly pushed up against the wall rather than having a gap down each side. And the AC wouldn't run while you were out of the room (unlike in the normal Premier Inn we stayed at the night before, which was nice and cool when we returned for the night). I'd rather pay the extra to have functioning and cleaned (see photo) AC.

I have just had a 2 night stay at this hotel, and found the facilities, service and location superb. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was more than adequate, and free tea and coffee was readily available. The was a slight issue of noisy A/C, when movement was detected, but this was a minor issue. I would stay here again.

I failed to get a room with working Aircon. You can either have it on cold full bore or off it seems. The controls in the room don't work. If the room is the wrong temperature you have to go see the receptionist to change it who was more interested in trying to check people in manually as the computer systems are down. The Aircon itself is terribly dusty. Bathroom smells stale. Not surprising as with the Aircon off there appears to be very limited if any ventilation. Restaurant extremely limited. Guess you are buying the convenience of location nothing else. I would never ever stay here again.

For an affordable hotel in a busy tourist area, I didn’t have any high expectation but just hoped it would be decently clean. When I first entered the room, it looked like a crime scene to be cleaned. Weird stains on the carpet, curtain, and bed sheet. The worst part was the easily visible blood stains on the duvet. Not mention the AC filter was covered with dust and all the disgusting grime in the shower. If you want to argue that is just how affordable hotels are like in big cities, I had just recently spent a week in a similarly price/size hotel in the center of Tokyo. Everything was superbly clean, showing their respect to the customers. I guess this place just doesn’t expect people to come back next time.

The rooms are a bit smaller than usual premier Inn rooms, but everything you need is there. Very comfy bed, large tv, desk and a great shower. Tea and coffee available from bar/restaurant area 24/7.

Great location, really good value, slightly odd room, could have been slightly cleaner but nothing to complain about. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Definitely a good place to stay, was much cheaper than all hotels in the centre when I was here. Only issue is no parking, but this would only be a problem if you were in a van bigger than a regular car as there is a carpark almost directly opposite. Will be back.

I recommend this chain. Modern, efficient. Rooms equipped with comfort and technology. And above all the strategic positions in which the hotels are located.

Brilliant hotel in a great area, situated very close to Edinburgh Waverley train station and a 5-10 minute walk to either the old town or new town. Rooms are practical and modern plus beds are very comfy. Unlimited continental breakfast can be served for £6 each morning between 7am-11am which isn't bad value. Wouldn't hesitate to stop at this hotel again and recommend to friends and family

This is a low-cost hotel with a small compact room which was clean. We forgot to ask for clean towels, which meant we had to use yesterday's. The staff were friendly and helpful. We found we could get a full breakfast in the normal Premier Inn next-door door. The location was very near the Royal Mile.

Terrible, no airflow in the room, ventilation and air conditioning didn’t work so woke up in the night not being able to breathe and very hot. Had to fan air into the room using the door to the hallway. There was also a bright flashing fire alarm light all night. No response from refund request.

At first, I came into to the wrong hotel Premier Inn. It was actually Hub by Premier Inn, the next building. From St. Andrew's Square to this hotel during arrival by walking was actually fine and you need to go through the Waverley Train Station. Do not worry, even big luggage to carry on with you, there is escalator and lifts. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist (Filipino lady) that offered my for check-in if needed but I did with self-check in and it was easy peasy. Since it was my first time in Edinburgh, she was explaining fron A to Z with regards to the hotel. There is always a 24hr bar if you need some hotel water in the lobby breakfast section. The location wise is very central in the heart of city centre. The room itself was tidy and cleaned and I liked playing the switches in the room and feels like a bit futuristic. The only minor downside was the window panel could not be open and the aircon was switched off during the winter month I believe, so at first it was quite a little uncomfortable but you will get hang on it. For the breakfast section, it was simple and tasty. I only wish if they can add on boiled eggs or scrambled eggs in the menu for morning protein. Other than that, I don't mind coming back to this same hotel if time permits.

Great place to stay at the heart of Edinburgh old town. Just next to the royal mile. Good minimalist rooms at affordable prices. Most of the staff were very good. The only issue I had was that the hotel didn't have a single tube of toothpaste, which I feel is quite basic for a hotel to keep. Also they have unlimited coffee at the front desk which is amazing! But the trade off is that there are no kettles in the rooms. There's also no telephone in the room, so you have to go downstairs every time to speak to reception.

Tiny place on the Royal Mile, you would think it below average tourist fare. Anything but….. superb Small plates, everything was fantastic Monkfish satay I could eat many every night of the week One area for improvement - pacing, all the dishes came at once, filling the small table and some became cold. Highly recommended

The menu is out of date, up to date prices are not displayed. There is no takeaway menu. Whilst the food is reasonable there is need for an alternative within South Queensferry. Here is hoping.
