Really delicious meal. Nice messy Big Kahuna burger with good quality meats and a soft bun. Chicken tenders were nice but not strongly seasoned or quite crisp enough. The korean bbq sauce was superb for dipping though! Generous portion of sweet potato fries to top it off. The staff were great. Polite and smiley. It did take a little longer for them to take my order than it should've though. Definitely somewhere I'll go again. NEXT VISIT: Mouthwatering smash patties at their finest! I had a Triple Bacon Double Cheeseburger and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The patties were so juicy and full of flavour as well as having an incredible chargrill around the edges. My Dad devoured his burger too along with the chilli beef loaded fries. I even had a a decent reaction from my Mum to her first beef burger experience. She'll never share my passion for them though! A brilliant place to go for delicious burgers and fantastic service. Next visit: Delicious meat but too much mustard! I went in for a Birthday burger fix knowing Hubbox has delivered me fantastic meals in the past. I had they're Oklahoma Smash Burger with added bacon. The first thing that stood out was the amount of mustard. It was pouring out! I scraped some off the top bun to make it a fairly reasonable amount. Fortunately it didn't take too much away from the flavour of patties. They use some of the best tasting beef I've had in a burger and the patties were cooked beautifully. I was a little disappointed with the BBQ dip. It had a slight kick of spice to it which made me think it wasn't what I'd asked for. An enjoyable meal but it could have been better with a lighter squeeze of that mustard bottle! The staff as always were fantastic and provided efficient friendly service. Still the best place in Exeter for top quality burgers.

Went here for a birthday meal with me and my fiancé. We were seated immediately and we had our food ordered, delivered and eaten within half an hour. We were greeted with friendly staff and our waitress was very bubbly and friendly. The service was super efficient and honestly some of the best burgers we had both ever had. We will definitely be going back again hopefully very soon!

Coming in as a large booking, whilst another large booking joined at a similar time, I was very very pleased with the quality of food, service and overall treatment from the members of staff - sorting our orders by name to avoid any confusion, our food was also excellent Would highly recommend, the Hub Lemonade is lovely too...

THE WORST BURGERS AND FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN! YES SERIOUSLY! ABSOLUTE TRASH WE ORDERED 2 double bacon cheese burgers and they were worse than mc'donalds! £13.95 for a burger that was completely inedible. I MEAN come on, i used to get fab burgers here but i'm just guessing but MANAGEMENT CHANGES! II AM NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN IT'S 🤮 DISGUSTING NEVER GO HERE !!!!! AVOID, better burgers from BK !!!!! SO DISSAPOINTED 😔

We came here for our friends birthday dinner and it was definitely not what we’d come to expect from our previous visits. From our arrival, our table of 14 was not ready and we were made to wait by the bar in a big group. The front of house was very rude and blunt. As we were sat down, staff didn’t approach us for at least 20 minutes, until we asked for water and then were not even given glasses. When we asked for some, the waitress rudely informed us that they were being cleaned. The food order was initially wrong despite our pre-order, and then came out over an hour after we arrived. Our friend with an allergy; was initially given the wrong order as well. Our friends were mixed up - he already put ketchup and they simply handed the plate back to her with sauce still on. When ordering drinks, the waitress spoke as if our orders were inconveniencing her. To make matters worse, towards the end of the night, a member of our party overheard two waitresses gossiping about us. A free round of drinks on them was a nice apology, but quite frankly not enough. Whilst we are a group of students, we behaved respectfully and didn’t deserve to be treated as a second class customer. We will not be coming back.

Went there again on Saturday with my wife very nice food and the strawberry milkshakes are something else you can’t stop drinking them great place 2nd time there I will back

Went in to watch the rugby. Loads of room, friendly, accommodating staff and good beer. Only had fries but they were good. Nice terrace upstairs too - good for watching sport.

Better than expected, didn't eat there, but enjoyed the great cocktails. Only grumble is, they put ice in my cider, still drank it though.

Unfortunately Hubbox has gone massively down hill since it moved locations a few years ago. The prices keep going up, the portions are getting smaller, the ingredients are getting worse (burgers are not as nice, using gross cheese sauce over proper cheese). My last visit in late December was slow service, one of the waiters was very rude to one of our party, average food and a group all who left disappointed with value, portion size and quailty. After many visits over the years since Hubbox came to Exeter in Sidwell Street as one of the best places to eat in the city, I will not he visiting again anytime soon. There are many other better options and ironically Eat the Bird which is on the old Hubbox premises, is one of them. Not recommended.

Oh wow what a find. We were visiting and just thought this place was convenient. Lovely staff. Food was really good. Maybe one of the best burgers. Could resist the waffle!

Cold old fries that had been around a while and showed no sign of the Rosemary Salt promised, Onion rings that showed no sign of Onion, but plenty of signs of a fryer that isn't hot enough, so they were drenched in oil. My partners Korean Chicken was salty as to be inedible to her, and my Bacon Double Cheese wasn't even Burger King standard let alone a place with pretensions and prices like this. Might have been a bad day at the office for the Kitchen, as we've heard good things about Hubox, but as I'm not local I'll never find out.

Yeah normally good but today I got served a raw burger, uncooked meat, not just undercooked .wholly uncooked. Staff were very apologetic and said they would remove it from the bill..when the bill came they had taken 2 quid off...not the price of the meal. Just disappointed

Tasty food reasonably priced. Had a great chicken burger and dirty fries. Portion of fries could have been bigger though. Service was slow and inattentive, clearly under staffed on a Friday night.

It's just OK. Pre booked, arrived, sat down and immediately were asked 3 times by 3 different staff if we were ready order our food!? No body asked if we wanted a drink. We had to ask them. Seemed chaotic.

What can we say. The best burger in a long time. Staff are amazing and friendly. Affordable. Perfection in a box.

21st birthday meal, it was a lovely time an amazing surprise xx We are a rather fussy lot ngl and food can be a pain but the menu was suitable for us in all (dairy free and veggie). The staff were nothing but nice and very lovely. Thank you so bring over the cake and risking your eyebrows in the process. Overall and amazing time would come here again.

Amazing burger. Onion rings are incredibly greasy. Staff forgot us twice and didn't bring our drinks until we complained after our food had arrived! They didn't apologise which was a shame.

Server was great. Ordered drinks, they hadn’t arrived when asked for main course order. “Oh we’d like our drinks please”…”sorry barman is on his own and really busy”…. Looks over to see him chatting to a colleague and couldn’t look less busy, starting about with cocktail shakers and generally looking like he was having a very chilled shift. In the end our server actually got some of the drinks herself. Also was a birthday meal where we had pre-requested a birthday dessert. No mention of it, nothing so we just decided to leave. Ironic really as when we came in with one of the party wearing a birthday badge the older guy manning the booking screen said happy birthday.

Our food was cold not a little bit but completely cold. Had to wait 30 mins and were now hungry. When the food did come for the second time the burger was very pink in the middle greasy and chips did t taste good. Not keen to go again

Food here was absolutely incredible. I had burger and chips and it was amazing and worth every penny! Deffinetly worth visiting and eating here. It has two floors with lots of seating and well priced.

Visited Hub Box for the first time ever for a late lunch mid week. We were greeted very warmly by the host and shown straight to a table, made to feel very welcome. The menu has a wide ranging choice but seems to be mainly based around burgers. We had 2 Korean Chicken Burgers and shared a generous portion of fries between us, along with having a drink each (this only came to £32) which was very reasonable. Great portion sizes for the burgers and you could taste the all range of ingredients, one of the best chicken burgers I've had! Would of liked to have sat upstairs for a slightly better view but can understand that this wasn't possible during a quieter with less staff. Thank you!

Great place to meet up with friends. Has quite a fun funky look to it. If you're able to and weather permits, go to the sun terrace! They don't allow smoking but they allow vaping. The food was amazing, amazing coating on the chicken and a good choice of quality burgers and chicken meals

I believe, I've never had a vegan lunch as delicious as this! I've ordered the Kimchi Burger and it was the best. A crunchy, crispy "chicken" patty, that aczually tasted like chicken, soft and tender on the inside, juicy and spicy Kimchi and high quality bread to go with it. If you're a fan of summer drinks, I'd recommend to order one of the house made lemonades. It might take a bit before it's ready, but it is SO worth the while. If you're near Exeter Cathedral and fancy a bite to eat, I'd highly recommend you pay a visit here ;).

Burger was excellent and the service with no fault!

The place is really nice and the food was delicious. We try three different sandwiches, two burgers and two different fries. Everything was good but i just can’t give 5 star because it’s overpriced. We pay 147£ which is a lot for this type of meal. The staff was really nice and helpful. We’re sorry because we didn’t get them a tip but 10% for service was more than enough to charge us. Sorry.

Unfortunately, hubbox burgers have really gone down hill they are so small now they just aren't what they are used to be. 4 meals came out all with lukewarm chips, but they did replace them with fresh ones when asked.

Really enjoy the experience-our first time there, DEFO want to go back. It's not the cheapest but the food & service was worthy of it.

Went here for my partner's birthday. Reserved a table for 7 of us and had never been before but was really nice. Drinks took a little bit of time but understand because there were a few of us. The food was worth the cost though I didn't realise that sides (chips) were paid for separately so I'll know that again if I go another time 😀

Came here for date night with my wife. Staff service was good but not exceptional. My burger was good, wife's burger was excellent. Portions weren't the biggest, considering this, was a little pricey. Been to better burger/bbq restaurants but a good solid choice. Would go back.

I originally tried Hub Box in 2014 when they operated out of Sidwell St. Back then I put their burger up amongst the best I'd ever eaten. Monterey Jack Cheese, Gherkins, thick cuts of tomatoes toasted buns. Craft beer a thing of the past to it seems? My recent visit left me very deflated. The loaded fries overshadow the mediocre burgers. The hub burger for £10.95 with no side and an optional service charge put onto every bill. Resting on the laurels of a former great business. Restaurant was spotless and staff were very friendly. £90 to feed 4.

Me and my partner visit hubbox often when we’re in Exeter and we love it everytime. We often have the same server, unfortunately I don’t know his name but we’ve spoken about vikings before! He’s honestly the kindest gentlemen and he’s always super pleasant and friendly. The food is phenomenal, I always get the double bacon with cheesy fries on the side and I’ll never get bored of it. For anyone who doesn’t drink or can’t when visiting but like a fruity drink, the fruit coolers are lush especially the strawberry cooler.

Came here for a 40th birthday Boozy Lunch and it was fab.

Shockingly cold food. Waited a good 30 mins before our food arrived. Had to flag down the waiter for water and drinks, the restaurant was only moderately busy. I wish we could have told them about the food and service but no one came to the table to ask how we were…no one asked when we paid. It’s rare I ever complain about food and service but this was in a league of its own.

We had a family party last night for 27 excellent food drinks and fantastic service from all staff especially Viking and young lady sorry dont know her name we all had great night thank you hubbox
