Worst place everrrr Never getting food here again Imagine getting egusi and it’s has a black colour plus they make you pay your Order online and not tell you the shop is close for whatever reason they had You ordered meat pie and they give you frozen meat and uncooked pie Pointless asking for a refund curse I think been scammed from those dead ass realsturant

Really nice and reasonably priced Nigerian food. Eguse soup was delicious. Jollof was nice. Good portion sizes without being over the top. Only thing I'd say is there were two TVs on at once.

EDIT: we went again, this time it took 1hr 40 mins for the food to be ready for pick up… So frustrating. When you make an online order it gives you a rough time frame but this was off by 30 mins.. Exceptionally slow service time… Be prepared to wait an hour or more for the food to come even to just takeaway. Food was very good, decent price.

Get ready to experience the worse waiting time. The food was sub par at best.

I’ve ordered the food one evening and they delivered it after 2:30 minutes, I said okay no problem some days are like that The next evening I’ve ordered food the portions were so small £8.10 for just a small peppered meat were literally 6 small pieces and 2 small pieces of tomato and the meat smelled so bad like it was made of spoiled (rotten) meat I definitely won’t order food again from this restaurant because first of all it’s very expensive for the portions they give and secondly they don’t serve quality food Guys this is so wrong I know you don’t care about the feedbacks but you should stop scamming people because it’s not nice at all

Order through ubereats waited for an hour for the soup, called the driver saying they are still preparing for my food. Only to recieve a half portion on a SMALL CONTAINER and when I tasted it the top part was hot but the bottom part of the soup was freezing cold.

It was a very comfortable and relaxing experience. There was nothing left on the plate. 😂

The jollof rice was jollofing...but I had issues with the pepper soup, plus it was way too overcooked. It takes a while for the main dish to get ready, but I figured out that it must have been freshly cooked hence the wait. The spring roll and sauce was delicious, the food is very affordable. I will always come back to eat the rice and swallow again.

Do not let negative reviews put you off coming here!! Food was amazing! You can tell it was fresh due to the temperature. We pre ordered online whilst booking a table and waited the regular amount of time you would anyway! We even got takeaway to take home with us! We had the suya, egusi and jollof and honestly it was all perfect! Staff were friendly and helpful… Thank you so much for a lovely meal! We will most definitely be back!

Waited 25 minutes for cold rice and the tiniest portion of chicken I’ve ever had

went here earlier ordered food at 6pm was given a 90min ETA we got to the queue at 6:30 then eventually went in around 7:30 which would be our collection time. We went in and was told twice our food was about to come out and then waited an extra hour for the food until we asked for a refund then waited another 15mins to be told it was getting packed up then waited another 10 waiting for one of the items . Really wanted to enjoy the experience and the food but it came and was cold and oily from the puff puffs also paid £6 for a very small handful of suya. We assumed along with the free food event they were having, we would have had our food ready as paying customers . Unfortunately, wouldn’t go again and wish we got our £37 refunded.

This is the worst restaurant I have been to in my whole life.. To think that I came all the way from canada, feeling like there is a place in Manchester with good food and quality services following exaggerated hype on social media. I was there for 4 hours after ordering food… Omo no cap, I ended up drinking only malt. I really felt for the only girl in the reception, She kept on doing damage control to all the customers.. We were all hungry mahn… Omo this restaurant worst die. Is it possible to give 0 star ? … Thats what they really deserve. I wasted money on uber to come to this restaurant.. Omo e pain me gan

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant anywhere in my life, I was practically begging to be served, after waiting for more than 2 hours (I am not exaggerating) I had to leave because the food still was not ready, as a tourist that heard about your place on IG, I was excited to try a local dish in Manchester. To think I took Uber to your place, just to leave more hungry and disgruntled. If there was zero stars, that’s absolutely what fits this “restaurant”. You guys should spend more money on actually cooking good meal and having good service rather than paying for PR you can’t live up to. Worst restaurant ever!!

Food was good, but had to wait an additional 2.5 hours after the ETA to get my order. At this point I could have just made food myself .I had to call multiple times and was told I would get a call back with the new ETA but was left hanging. it became a matter of me almost begging for my food. Food was cold at arrival because of the lengthy delivery time. Communication was very poor and they kept reiterating how it was not their fault and that they were busy, which is not an apology or a show of fault on their part for the great delay. Over 3 hours from point of order, to delivery, should not be standard of any restaurant. I am deeply saddened by this because it would have felt way better with earlier communication and not me having to chase the food.

I’m curious, do people open restaurants just because they can or because they actually know how to cook? Do you guys taste your food after you make it. I ordered for puff - it was extremely oily and didn’t taste very nice, asun- no way you call that asun, it didn’t even taste like it was made with goat, suya - was absolutely terrible, no taste, bland, tiny quantity, thank God for that, meatpie - burnt, assorted pepper soup just looked un inviting, to be fair I haven’t tried it, so nothing to say on that. Grilled chicken - stale and tasteless, I didn’t think chicken could be that bad, jollof rice - more like concoction, it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t good either… Advice to management, change whoever cooks for you..what a waste of money and time!!!!

Food was quality, I got something different this time; I got the baked chicken and jollof and it absolutely hit the spot. Josh got the tomato stew, jollof and plantain and finished it in about 5 minutes. Perfect stuff.

The food at HQ was absolutely amazing, finger licking good. The meat was extremely soft just how I like it. The chicken was perfectly cook, crispy and soft inside and the fried rice was made perfectly. Definitely my new favorite African restaurant in Manchester.

First review I’ve ever felt the need to write on a restaurant. Considering there’s other reviews on portion sizes I thought this would of been rectified. Really looked forward to coming here as I’ve seen it online recently & im new to Manchester & missed some traditional cooked food. The service was amazing from Anthony at the front desk. Moving onto the food… I understand the starters are ‘finger foods’ or small quantity , however the main courses which we ordered in house and took home. Was diabolical, promised ‘assorted meats’ and I reiterated that I’d like cowleg , tripe and all the rest. There was only tripe and kidney. Small containers and mostly filled with soup,no meat. Ayamashe was in a small circle container with a boiled egg and soup. 3 pieces of meat. If you’re after a generous portion of rice only. Go here😊. I feel like if this has been a previous comment as a business this should have been resolved. We didn’t come too late , plus the restaurant was not so busy to be handing out food rations. Do better please.

Very good! Lamb suya is a must. The sauce that accompanies jollof and roast chicken adds so much flavour to a delicious meal. Authentic drinks from the continent available to order as well. No pics because I hoovered up the food to be honest!
