We had the best night ever, we had a private dinning experience on Saturday 19th April in the hotel, From the first moment we walked through the door the staff where amazing with us, so polite and helpful they couldn’t do enough for us, having Champagne and Canapés upstairs to actually having our private dinning, the food was delicious the wines accompanied the food brilliantly, we had a party of 13 and everyone of us thought it was the best experience ever, We would highly recommend trying this place out Thank you to all at the hotel du vin

Beware dynamic pricing……….we were quoted and approved one price when checking in and on checkout the price had almost doubled!!!! If you try and complain you may have the unfortunate experience of the unpleasant and aggressive “manager” who does not disclose his name. Also the rooms we had were unbearably noisy with late night revellers passing by at all hours keeping us awake all night.

Our experience at hotel du vin was just exceptional to say the least. A massive shoutout to Bella on reception for making our stay here so magical before we even arrived!! The staff were so incredible kind, welcoming and willing to do anything to make our stay the best it could’ve possibly been. Our room was stunning, spacious and the bed felt like a cloud it was so comfortable! The water pressure from the bath and shower also felt extremely luxurious. Me and my partner loved having cocktails in the hotel bar, which had such an amazing vibe and games on the side which we definitely made use of! Honestly, everything about this stay was just amazing. I can confidently say that this hotel is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Brighton. Highly highly recommend.. will definitely be back again! … also genuinely cannot say enough how kind the reception staff were.. again Thankyou so much Bella!!!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Hotel du Vin, the staff were very helpful and polite and the food was delicious. We would definitely come again! I would say as advice to people booking to bring a cable that is USB-A to [whatever your phone is] as there are usb sockets by the beds (see last photo) but only strangely shaped 3 pin sockets close enough to plug in overnight (in the room we booked at least).

Zero sympathy - zero customer support I booked a night at the Du Vin Brighton early Jan 25 for my fiancés birthday, we were really looking forward to it… On New Years Day a very close relative of my fiancée died suddenly and unexpectedly, very sad it affected my fiancée quite badly I contacted Du Vin to change the dates on our booking hoping that would be a relatively easy exercise, despite explaining the circumstances, 3 times (with x3 alternative dates that had availability) they refused… I then requested a cancellation as a last option and despite given them a weeks notice they wanted to charge the full cost of the hotel room! They’ve explained as we had booked a non cancellable room it’s basically our own fault and nothing they can or will do - I would like to stress that we wanted to amend the booking not cancel… I’m really disappointed that a prestige hotel like Du Vin couldn’t at least try to help or apply some level of empathy or compromise to our situation - I’ve lost the full price of the room (£170) and I won’t be using them again in the future. Shame

We loved our two night stay here last week. We booked the junior suite for two nights - amazing room! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and had a super dinner too. The receptionist, Michelle, was super helpful and friendly and our waitress at breakfast, Katarina, made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend.

on 20th December was having a christmas dinner with company (apparently was the second biggest event that evening) . Everything was perfect, but my phone was about to die (nobody didn’t have it who i asked), as I live quite far away and not local that was a big problem for me. I asked guy (skinny and tall with glasses and christmas hat) who was servicing us if i can charge phone and he did all his best to help me. He literally saved me. Please convey my gratitude to him

I have not used the rooms so I cannot comment. The restaurant is lovely and the food was very nice. A good choice of the standard menu or they have a specials which is what I opted for. Not cheap but worth the extra £. Good service and well run. Worth a look especially if on foot and visitimg Brighton.

The highlight for me was the bathroom, which was not only stylishly designed but also offered excellent water pressure—a small detail that can make a big difference after a day of exploring the city. What truly stood out, however, was the quality of sleep I had during my stay. The mattress was absolutely top-notch, providing one of the best nights' sleep I’ve had in ages. I often struggle to sleep well in hotels, but the comfort here was exceptional—definitely a 10/10. The staff at Hotel du Vin Brighton were another standout feature. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to be helpful, ensuring that my stay was as comfortable as possible. Additionally, the hotel's 24-hour bar, offered a great selection of drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to unwind at any time of day or night. Overall, Hotel du Vin Brighton exceeded my expectations. It’s a wonderful blend of comfort, style, and attention to detail, complemented by excellent staff and amenities. Richard and I stayed at the Brighton Hotel du Vin earlier in the week, and also held our small wedding there. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough to help us, and accommodate last minute requests. Agatha was incredible! The reception staff were so kind and the whole team behind them were just brilliant. The hotel rooms and locations was great as was the food, but the staff really made the whole experience exceptional and memorable Thank YOU!

Stayed here and received extremely bad food poisoning from chicken room service dish. I was immobile for 12hours plus, during this time I was interviewed by staff where it felt like they were trying to find any blame that wasn’t on them for me being ill. We received no compensation at all, even had to pay full price to extend our stay 1 day as I physically couldn’t leave the room. Will never return to this or any other in this chain, incredible bad service and excellent.

Cannot comment on the rooms, but I recommend that if you are in the area, you call into the excellent bar. Roomy, well decorated, and comfortable. Bar staff are super attentive, serve excellent cocktails, and non alcohol 🍸 ones. Toby's level of knowledge on wines 🍷is outstanding. Thank you for looking after us. I believe you food also comes highly recommended so I will be back for dinner.

I was disappointed with the day time weekend reception staff. They are rude and do not fit with a hotel that is meant to be premier. When I checked a different reception staff member had said we could check out at 1 but she seemed flustered, so to be safe I checked with the weekend staff. When I walked up they exuded judgement and then very angrily said only 12 check out was included, when I explained their colleague had said it was fine they responded again angrily well that will cost you £20 more. After spending approximately £1200 for the suite for two days I would have a. Expected better treatment than rude staff, and b. Later check out if the rooms free! The hotel was also very badly maintained with scuffed walls, shabby chairs, generally lots of the furniture, paint or fixtures look tired. Service at the bar was also not great. Lots of staff but when I went to the bar to order a glass of wine, the bar tender told me to go sit and someone would come take my order, after waiting 25 mins I gave up and went to another bar outside the hotel. I used to come to the bar because I lived close by and the service used to be top notch. I feel like the hotel has massively declined and as a result, the restaurant was empty on Friday night and it seems like the hotel has less people generally. My one star is owing to rude or bad service expecting more from a hotel that should be exceptional. Where we would have perhaps returned because we loved the room, now I am not sure we will.

Fantastic hotel right by the front and a short walk from the train station, the hotel is fantastic inside and quite quirky in the layout with it being an old building. Some of the finishes could be better as the room I stayed in (WJ King) one of the skirting boards in the bathroom wasn’t painted. Other than that the room was lovely and very comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a great selection of continental and you had a hot menu to choose from so well worth adding onto your stay. Will be looking forward to visiting again.

We had an okay stay at Hotel du Vin, but I’m not sure I would come back. The reception was warm and they were able to get us into our room early, which was nice as we had just arrived in from an overnight flight. However the room’s air conditioning system was broken and the staff had placed a fan in our room to compensate. Unfortunately the room got rather stuffy since the only windows were small and only opened part way. The bed was also rock hard, and the pillows paper thin. We had a drink in the bar, and service was awkwardly slow. The bartender told me he would come to our table to get my order, but then served three other guests before coming to me.

The location is phenomenal, the food is very good and the service was impeccable. Also they are super dog friendly (at an extra cost). The let down was the room - it just looked tired. Marks on the wall and skirting boards, mould in the shower (which was fixed promptly thanks to the lovely person at reception), and tired carpet. The bathroom was very nice but the bedroom? Meh. So I would stay here again but a bit of investment in the rooms would be welcome.

Room disappointing despite being given a complimentary upgrade on arrival. Room smelt damp probably the bath in the bedroom where the carpet seems to be wet! But can't fault the bar staff, all super efficient, friendly & on the ball. Would definitely return for drinks, not sure we'd opt to choose as an overnighter. Although there was a party & we didn't hear anything from our room!

I would give 5 stars but restaurant needs to cater for gluten free more give more variety of alternatives, you cater for vegan which is a choice not so much gluten free which isn't a choice! The waiter though was attentive and worked a solution for my wife, because of him you have got 4 stars first intial maitre d front of house wasn't so helpfull!!

We organised our annual scuba diving pros night out here and the service we received from Lola was absolutely incredible. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was great. I only wish I had ordered the vegan black pudding as that looked phenomenal good although the chicken parfait was good. I really think that only mentioning Lola once is not enough so Lola thank you so much for making our evening special.

Quirky hotel with a really nice and unique room. What has let this down is the service was not what I would expect from a £300 room. We had to pay £30 extra when we got there for a roll up camp bed despite our daughter being on the booking. The mattress was paper thin, and our daughter, who is a great sleeper, was up all night. The least we would’ve expected was that £30 to be refunded but no. Breakfast ok. Overpriced experience overall.

Went for Mother's day. Absolutely fantastic Couldn't eat all the meat due to one of the best Buffet starters I've eaten. Asked one of the waitresses "Roberta" for a tissue to wrap it up for a treat for my Dog came out with a carton and small bag straight away. She Absolutely made my day. Staff were all fantastic. Brilliant Day out Made all the better with my Visit to the Hotel du Van. Thanks to all the Staff You made Mother's day Special. ❤️

We came for brunch for my sisters birthday, we ordered coffee and food together. Food came in a normal time and was okay however, one member of the group got towards the end of their meal to find a hair under the pancake on the plate. In addition to this our coffee order came roughly 10mins after we had already finished our meals.

Al llegar a Brighton para nuestros días de vacaciones de Pascua, decidimos almorzar aquí el jueves 17 de abril, recordando cómo lo disfrutamos anteriormente hace algún tiempo. Para aquellos que no lo saben, sirven comida vietnamita aquí y todo se cocina por encargo. El menú es variado y ofrece opciones para los consumidores de carne o vegetarianos. Había un hombre muy amable que nos dio la bienvenida en el mostrador y nos ayudó con nuestras elecciones de alimentos, ya que mi esposa tiene gluten, lácteos y alergias al huevo. Esto no es un problema aquí, ya que los alimentos se hacen frescos y se pueden atender en consecuencia. Tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo de rollitos de primavera, rollitos de verano y maravillosas ensaladas de pollo con verduras frescas, hierbas y cebollas y cacahuetes crujientes opcionales y todo sabía increíble con un gran sabor. Es un lugar sencillo sin alboroto, gran opción para nosotros en el almuerzo y estábamos muy contentos con nuestra elección. Gracias y hasta la próxima.

I added a note to my order stating no sauce in my daughters chicken wrap but it turned up dripping with sauce. The sauce looked like watered down mayonnaise and it smelt like sugar. Ordered jalapeño cream cheese but they sent mozzarella sticks instead. The chicken from the chicken and chips meal was wet with grease to the point my son couldn't even pick it up to eat as it was slipping out of his fingers. Won't be ordering from here again and I do not recommend at all.

Disappointing. Saturday evening 19.00, went for my anniversary with my partner, sat down, ordered an overpriced bottle of wine and starters before trying to order the tomahawk to be told they've run out! We only went there for the tomahawk. Anyways, the other large sharing steak, don't remember the name now was also sold out. So, after almost leaving we decided to order 2 ribeye steaks. My partner got a ribeye and I was given a sirloin! They hoped I wouldn't notice? Anyways, tough as my shoe soles. Sent it back, didn't eat the steaks and all they've done was to offer a 25% discount on the whole bill. That's when I lost it. Ended up only paying for the wine and startes. Not sure this was a one off, other customers also complained, will not give it another try as in my mind they tried to be dishonest by giving me a different cut to what I have ordered and also trying to charge me for almost a full bill when we barely touched the steaks.
