My very young children and I had a shocking experience with the manager at this store today after being sorely misunderstood then treated like animals; we walked away genuinely floored at the way we had been treated, and physically pushed out of the store. In hindsight I regret not standing my ground and waiving my rights in the power-hungry lion’s face. I will be delighted to never return nor give our recommendation to any friends or family. So long, Hotel Chocolat.

A short review but I LOVE hotel chocolat BUT this outlet really lets the team down by the rudeness of their staff. 4 members of staff behind the counters. One fixing the coffee machine one standing at the patisserie and one helping a junior with the coffee/ milk pourer. No one serving. We stood 5 minutes with no one else in the u it for service but they all ignored us. To busy chatting and laughing with each other. If the coffee machine was not working why did they not inform us? After standing for the 5 minutes we turned and walked out not believing how rude some people can be.

Es bueno ver el Hotel Chocolate en funcionamiento de nuevo. Como siempre, un gran servicio al cliente y un personal amable. Disfruté de una bebida de café fría en un día caluroso, ¡volveremos pronto!

Nos pusimos en contacto con algunos amigos para salir de la lluvia cuando descubrimos los mejores batidos Choc. El personal es muy amable, sin duda volveremos!

Fuimos de visita para ver de qué se trataba todo el alboroto y nos quedamos a tomar un chocolate caliente. Era bastante normal para ser honesto, nada realmente especial en absoluto. La crema batida de chocolate gratis era un buen toque, pero era muy pesada y un poco soso también. No todo es malo: el personal fue muy amable y hay una gran selección de chocolates para elegir, si eso es lo tuyo, pero las bebidas eran bastante aburridas

First visit and definitely won't be back. I took my sister in law for a birthday treat and my daughter came too. I was expecting a sort of luxury hot drink and cake type experience. The shop was busy with Christmas shoppers. The "cafe is three tables and stools at the back of the shop. There was NO cake. 1 slice of chocolate brownie lying and a few pre packed Christmas biscuits. I ordered a tea, a latte and a milkshake. My sister in law had a mint chocolate sundae ice cream. The bill was £13.45 Totally overpriced. The milkshake was covered in skooshy brown cream stuff that was horrible. The shake itself wasn't nice. My daughter left it. The front door was wide open and the place was freezing. I have to say the guy that served us was very cheery and apologised for not having any of the topping left for the ice cream. A real disappointing experience. No choice Overpriced Made Costa look like the Ritz.

This chocolate store is delicious. Lots of holiday chocolate gift sets- dark, milk and white chocolate. Delicious. Good prices
