Hotbox Fish Bar in Cardiff

I've been ordering with these for a couple years when we have a treat, I've only ever had 2 problems and soon as I called and spoke to the manager they have been sorted straight away. The food is always lovely and hot when arrives always fresh food :) Customer service is always great when I call and the staff are always polite also!! :) I definitely would recommend pizza mania to people I know :)

Highly recommend this place. Food is really good, prices are good, guys working their are great. Can't go wrong.

Went here and was very disappointed. Took ages to get my food even though it wasn't busy. When I got home it was all wrong.

Just ordered a donner and chips on deliveroo , great service food is amazing fast delivery customer service is 5 star , thank you pizza mania I will be ordering again :-)

When they make a mistake, they refuse to rectify it, won't reimburse you when they are at fault, won't use them again

Terrible customer service, sent out chocolate cake with no use by date or lable showing ingredients. When I phone was told by manager that next time I ordered he would credit back my £6. When I phoned was told had to order £20 so that they could give me this back. Original order only cost £16. Manager would not even come on phone to speak to me. Will never order from them again.

Missing dips which were paid for not ideal. No active number to call for them to correct any mistakes. Won't be ordering again.

Terrible service missing items told send new driver with missing items waited 25mins call back to say waiting for same driver that delivered it. Then still didn’t receive missing items when called again. Rude on the phone. Never order again from there.

Terrible, do not use. Missing items and did not try to rectify the mistake. Missing 3 cans and all suaces on a £80 order.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! Completely messed up our orders, food was cold and dry, didn't even give us our drinks that we paid for and staff couldn't care less!!!

We have been ordering from HotBox in Trowbridge since moving into the area and although their pizza is good, their delivery service is absolutely awful. Consistently the orders are at least 30 minutes late and sometimes over an hour. Unfortunately for us, it's the only halal pizza take-away in the area so we are somewhat limited in options, so we have let it slide in the past. Today I placed the order specifically for 8.40 as we were expecting guests. At 8.50 i was told by the manager that the pizza was in the oven and would be with me no later than 9.15. At 9.25 i left my house in order to collect, only to be told it had just left, yet was delivered a full hour late at 9.40. Asked for a full refund in store, only to be fobbed off returning home to a barely luke-warm pizza. I don't often write negative reviews but today was the last straw and I'd rather drive 20 minutes than endure such a amateur delivery service.

I ordered mixed kebab with chicken tikka. It was so delicious. I like chips being separated from kebab so they don't go wet and soggy. Will definitely order from this place again

I ordered a portion of lasagne today for iftar and was charged £7.50 but the lasagne has no meat in there just mostly covered with pasta sheets. That's it!! Really disappointed. Not happy with the order.

Absolutely delicious food, freshly prepared by friendly staff. Our order was quite large and everything was cooked to perfection. The pizzas are amazing with lots of toppings and the cheese crust is delicious. Would highly recommend!!

Top burger top service. Pizzas are super tasty and so is the burgers. Cant forget the cookie dough Cheetohs burger is the best burger in my opinion and very hard to beat

Ordered food from here online. Food I ordered wasn't even delivered was told driver should be there in 10 minutes 30 minutes later , still haven't got the items I payed for . In the mean time food was going cold . Ended up paying more money from a different chip shop .

Went here and had to wait for around 20-25 minutes for my food which I could have looked past had the food not been completely raw. The chips were still crunchy and completely covered in salt like they thought they could mask the terrible food with salt. As well as this I was ignored the first time when attempting to make my order. Had it not been for one of their delivery drivers coming back from an order shortly after entering the shop. I would have had to wait longer to be served. Really not happy with the service which is sad because before this occasion it was one of my favourite places to eat.

Ordered food from theee a few weeks ago, 1 hour delivery i was told on just eat.. 2 and a half hours later i still hadnt received my order, so i drove there to get a refund but was refused it. Called just eat, they were no help at all, now im just £20 down.

ordered a chicken meal with chips arrived without chips so I phoned them got told they would look in to it about 5 minutes later phoned me back saying the chips were giving to the uber eats driver the person on the phone was very rude and said they must have taken them about 10 minutes after that I had a call saying they found the chips they were left on the side not handed to the driver I was told they couldn't be delivered the and nothing could be done

Seems like it was just one of those nights. Thanks for the explanation and the extras given as compensation. First time I have ordered anything other than a pizza. The Fish and Chips were lovely. With regards to the pizzas I highly recommend Meatball Marinara and Chcken Fajita. I strongly recommend these guys and fair play to them they are delivering outside of their normal zones to assist with lots of eateries being closed on just eat and other platforms during this torrid time. Good work hotbox :-)

Got all of our order wrong, inputted each salad for each meal, which arrived with only 1 tray of salad to go with 4 meals. Absolute waste of time

Placed order 20:15 was due for delivery 21:25 was delayed to 21:55 never arrived. Resturant don’t answer the phone left me and my 11yr old without food on a Saturday night and I now have to wait 3-7days for my money back. Will never order with this restaurant again

So I ordered two veggie pizzas, some chicken & chips for the missus and a portion of chips with cheese extra on the chips via notes section of just eat. Ordered for as soon as possible, which would have been an hour later. Delivery pushed back by almost 50 mins from original time. Delivered a meat pizza instead, still waiting (been another hour) for the replacement veggie pizza, only to discover in the meantime that the one veggie pizza delivered has no sauce for the base on it. Really annoyed. No apology for the lateness from the driver and an attitude of "what do you want us to do?" rather than "how can we fix our mistakes?“. I appreciate things get busy, but this is poor service

You recently opened a takeaway on abergele road Rumney Cardiff absolutely awful I ended up having food poisoning don't eat from here

I regularly order there, even though I might be picky about the chips (I'm Belgian, that's what we do...), everything is always hot and tasty. Every member of the staff I encountered has been nice, polite and professional. I especially recommend their Keema and their fresh pizzas.

Avoid this place at all costs, I ordered my food on just eat at 21:00pm and they said that it would arrive at 22:00pm but at 22;45pm I had a text to say they were outside but they wasn't and at this point they were 45minutes late anyway so I called the shop and they said that the delivery driver had already been to my house and they won't deliver again unless I pay another delivery charge which I wasn't going to do at all and they also tried to say that they tried to call me but they didn't and they then hung up the phone I won't answer the phone again. Do not bother ordering from here as they are liers and thieves how can a business treat there customers like that. Absolute disgusting!

Very unprofessional management. Awful food quality. Ordered last night, bread came mouldy sausage and batter wasn't fresh and chips could have been better. When I rang the manager to see if we could get a refund I was met with abuse and unprofessionalism. To quote he said he would come to the store and give me a slap. Wouldn't recommend hotbox unless you want food poisoning. Actual clowns
