If you love Chinese takeaway avoid this like the plague! Worst Chinese takeaway we’ve ever had!! Everything we had was tasteless and rubbery. Nothing Chinese about it!!!!

Best food weve eaten in a long time

the fried rice was cold and clumped together. And I have ordered the special chow mein for the past few weeks, but this was totally different from what I have previously enjoyed, it was awful 😖

Didn't like the chips, they were fries, not chippy chips. But the rest of meal was spot on. Would definitely recommend 👌

Salt and pepper chips??? More like salt with a few chips, totally inedible, far to salty, I could literally feel my blood thickining and my kidneys shriveling up after 2 chips.

Never go to this place as food is so bad after i could not eat it even the dogs turned there noise at it and it's ashame as few years since orded from here it was really nice but now gone down hill.

Hot Wok in Liverpool is a great place to grab a meal before a football match. The food is high quality and the prices are very reasonable. I recently visited Hot Wok before an Everton FC match and was very impressed. I ordered a main course and a side dish, and both were delicious. The main course was cooked perfectly and the side dish was very generous. The service was also excellent. I would definitely recommend Hot Wok to anyone looking for a great meal before a football match.

Ordered at 6pm - by 8pm no order, phoned them and they said ‘we are still cooking it and don’t have drivers’. When we said okay we’ll cancel, she changed the order update on Uber so we would have to pay £10 to cancel. Absolute joke of a place don’t waste your time or money.

Fried rice is nice, Char Sui Foo Yung is lovely

The food was of poor quality and tasteless. I ordered salt and pepper squid and I received battered calamari which had been cooked in no flavour but had salt and pepper onions and peppers simply placed on top. It was dry, tasteless and something I would expect from a very cheap basic takeaway. I paid nearly 30 pounds for 1 meal so expected it to be restaurant standard. The veg fried rice was also completely tasteless and had very few vegetables in it. It mostly consisted of over boiled broccoli. I covered it in soy to try and improve the flavour but it was still basically inedible. The only thing that was okay was the seaweed which is hard to get wrong. Also the order was late. Very disappointed given that it was so expensive and the highest rated Chinese.

Absolutely appalling, 9:30 pm and I've been waiting nearly two hours for my order. Been trying to call them since 8:30 finally get through and they said it's still being cooked. This is the first and last time ordering from here, I've cancelled my order and having an apple instead 😡

Food wasnt good had meat noodle box hardy any meat considering the price chip weren’t great liked the salt and pepper was lovely . But overall will won’t be ordering a takeaway again from there . Quite expensive too .

Got a takeaway with my granddaughter, the chicken sweetcorn soup was ok but no prawn crackers. We got the combo for two and it was all too salty and the prawn toast was hard, hardly any meat on the ribs, the spring rolls were soggy and the chicken was awful & hard. The fried rice wasn’t egg like you expect just rice fried in too much soya sauce & the beef & green peppers & black bean sauce was tasteless. Definitely will not choose this restaurant again. They need to reassess and sack the chef or teach how to cook properly.

Amazing venue. Had the pleasure of visiting for the recent Rangers v Liverpool match. Had a table with tv nearby, pints are reasonably priced and staff are fantastic. Left my wallet there in a drunken haze and they were great and posted it back to me. Would highly recommend for any football supporters clubs looking for a venue near Goodison/Anfield. We will be back for sure.

3rd time I had an expensive meal from here,, disgusting,, scraps of so called chicken with skin and fat , what an absolute disgrace, if the cooks are happy to serve this to the public they need to hang their heads in shame, should be closed down

One hour an 45 minute wait !! When being told it would be 30 minutes ! Arrived far to late and food freezing cold,this restaurant has gone down hill! Plus in combination boxes don’t get enough! Tight with portions

Used to be great,first order in maybe 6 months. Ribs super couldn't fault them however the special chow mein has changed significantly,way less chicken,beef,char Sui pork and half the amount of king prawns.padded out with extra veg/noodles.delivery driver was awful bad attitude because I didn't answer the door in his acceptable time.Avoid . *Edit - hadn't seen the owners comments regarding Hillsborough - never ordering from here again!! Scum!!

Attended before the match. The special fried mongrel wasn't up to much, in fact there was a bitter taste to it. Everything we eat lacked quality and any real depth of flavour. No atmosphere in the gaff either, like eating in a wooden shed. Would not recommend this dive.

This establishment is by far the worst I have ever come across in Liverpool. Rude, unhelpful, argumentative, unhygienic and downright awful people. I have put one star but only because there is no minus option!

Lovely food and good friendly atmosphere considering the current pandemic, social distance rules followed and a good night was had. Food was really good and portion sizes, staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough even though they were having to do table service due to the rules. Will definitely be visiting again for a family meal.

Just eaten here with my husband and 2 children, food was impeccable and the service a+ staff were lovely and friendly with the kids too! Would definitely go again

Took 1.5 hrs for my food to arrive and they buttoned my call when I called them asking where it was then lied saying I put the wrong address when I read it out to them they acted like I was lying

Just ordered for the first time. The rest of the meal was nice. My problem is the chips, they are not the chip shop chips you expect. They are frozen/ microwave french fries rubbish, you can buy them in Iceland. They were horrible it should say on the menu they are not proper chips. Very disappointed as I wouldn't have ordered them.

I used to visit this takeaway every week sometimes three or four times a week I moved out of the area last year and went today as I was passing I was absolutely disgusted in the quality of the food It was like re-cooked slop It only takes one bad experience I would not give them a second chance after this it was disgusting I threw my food away my family was very disappointed also ended up in the bin I don’t normally write reviews but I was exceptionally taken back by How poor this food was The girls at the desk as usual very helpful and friendly but wow what a dump this has turned out to be One could argue it’s just a bad day I think this company has had a turning and this is what it’s now producing otter rubbish So I feel like I’ve put £30 in the bin with a bitter taste in Mouth

Always close early than stated. Alright for the workers but really annoying when u want food at 9:30 a for a pick up and they say there closed just lazy.

Visited here whilst in the area for the lads birthday meal. Pre-booked a table over the phone. Nice food with deals on starters and mains on the Saturday night that we were there. Staff happy to engage in the lads birthday, and bring out a birthday cake and sing to him.

This place ain’t hot. Been here once for a baby shower and once for a take out. Poor choice on menu. Have about 4 things and you choose if you want chicken beef or prawns. Dissapointing. Service in take out very slow. Very boring having to wait so long

When to a hen party in the function room. The food was OK wouldn't order the chicken curry it was watery with not a lot of taste but the prawn on toast was amazing best I've ever tasted also the salt and pepper chicken wings were fab ! Drinks were expensive but thats to be expected. Would recommend. Had a great time.

Food was delicious, it was served quickly and it was hot and tasty, the price was very reasonable, drinks were also reasonably priced, Crispy Chilli Beef for our main and a mixed starter, We would definitely recommend the waitresses were really chatty and helpful.

Fuimos a una comida familiar 8 de nosotros, todos tuvimos comidas diferentes y todos disfrutamos de ellos. Los entrantes eran muy sabrosos y la comida era encantadora y fresca. Era viernes por la noche y había un cantante, el ambiente era excelente, el servicio excelente, rápido, amable y servicial. El lugar era agradable y limpio, no puedo encontrar una falla y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Food quantity and quality always good. Disappointly, for my takeaway I asked for cutlery to be told that it was in the bad. On the bus, for a 4hr journey north, and find......no cutlery!!! Not easy eating SS Prawn and Fried Rice with your fingers, on a bus!!! It's, the little things....attention to detail.
