Good food and good service. Delivery most of the time quicker than we expecting.

The food is very tasty and good quality with the exception of a portion of chips we had that tasted like they were re fried and dry, However very good apart from that. Lots of choice and a good price, When ordering you are advised it is cash only on collection so a bit of an inconvenience having to go to an ATM before collecting the food (I think they do take cards but only on delivery orders) It would help if they took card payments also.

Super fast delivery and awesome food!! We ordered online which was an easy system to use and made a couple changes to our order that they changed for us with no problems. This is the first Chinese we've tried in this area and no reason to go anywhere else. We would definitely recommend and return

Worst chow mein I've had .meat was an afterthought put in at the end and all very dry . Wish I'd stuck with my usual Chinese takeaway . First and last time .

If you have to re-fry chips for a Chinese then I question the quality of the Chinese food. Just had Chinese delivered and chips can't be eaten they have no potato left in them they been cooked so much. And on a kids meal. I see why everyone stopped using this place years ago. Worse take away in years nothing was warm. Had to order a curry instead Chinese went in the bin.

Absolutely shocking, have never had a worse Chinese takeaway. Nearly £100 and apart from the soup the rest went in the bin.

First time ordering a takeaway Most was ok but very disappointed with the scallops that tasted old and off! Sadly will be reluctant to order again.

Ordered take away for delivery, food arrived 2 hours after ordering when quoted a 60 minute time frame. Food arrived stone cold and had to be reheated upon arrival. When I phoned up to check on where the food was I didn’t receive an apology or anything close to that

Best Chinese take out I have ever had

Helpful staff, ordering was easy, food was good. Ordered just after opening time so service was quick. NB Only cash taken at takeaway counter, so you need to order online before collection if you want to pay by card. Recommended!

Only cash payment is taken in the shop if you go in person to order food. online orders will accept card payments. Food is freshly cooked and usually fine ,but unfortunately, on this occasion,they did forget to include our sweet and sour sauce (paid for with what should have been sweet and sour chicken balls)and as we live a few miles away,we couldn't be bothered to return once we were home and realised. Never mind, just an honest mistake.

Tasty food and not too expensive. Parking was easy for collection and very close by.

First time using their app which is good, prices slightly high not a problem, knew delivery was going to be 90min away, however chips were almost cold chicken balls should be renamed nuggets and even those came slightly warm won’t be ordering from there again

Hi, recently ordered from here regarding a phone delivery order which the man said £25.00, after a ridiculous hour and a half wait and 2 calls wanting to know where our food was at it arrived. My partner answered the door and the driver said it was £27.80! and she said back to him they said to my boyfriend it was £25.00. so then rudely the man who drives a white van (can't remember his name) said I will just take 1 item out then. made us both feel discusted, so had no choice to pay that, (we have got learning disabilities) which was not right.

Food was good and reasonably priced, easy to park outside would use again

Our delivery took over 2 hours. Both chicken dishes were cold and the chips were dry. Definitely gone down in my opinion. £40.00 wasted which I work hard for!

Just had what can only be described as a banquet. Absolutely wonderful, tasty ,fresh and plentiful. Good portions , WELL DONE, pity we leave for home tomorrow, can't recommend it enough Thanks

Ordered dinner online for a certain delivery time, they phoned asking how I wanted a certain dish cooked, I said this is not till this time for delivery they said yes we know, they tried to deliver half an hour prior the stated time. As I was not in they then tried to deliver 45 minutes later but with the same food as earlier. They need to get their act together and also get rid of their stropy staff. Will never be ordering from them again,

Second time ordering from here. First time was absolutely fine, over priced but alright. This time, I got horrendous food poising 2 hours after eating it. Don’t order from here, careless chefs, if you can even call them that.

Absolutely amazing Chinese.. food is always fresh chicken balls are fresh ad taste great,the ribs fall off the bone,the special curry is always on point...The chips are slightly over cooked but all in all fantastic every time we have ordered... always quick delivery

Tried to order via phone to be told card payments only taken via the website, so went on to website to find every price 30p plus up from current menu, We have put up with up to 2 hour waits for food that arrived cold, but this is a step to far, we have been loyal customers for nearly 13 years, but we are now former customers. Our custom has gone to New Kwong Lee and will stay with them.

To the magager of Hot Wok Renaissance I hope you read this as your restaurant has left us disappointed once again. Following a past disappointment with a takeaway order, we took a gamble and ordered from you again. This time my partner specifically outlined our order to the boy on the phone. The boy even checked to see if you could make a plain chow mein (frustrating that you don't seem to serve something so simple that every other establishment does). My partner explained why we wanted it plain and the boy said you can do it. We already know because we have to go through this same monotonous process with you each time. When we received our order, once again, just like the last, it was not plain atall and had meat, fish and vegetables in it. I don't really understand how we can make our order any simpler. Please put someone on the phones that can correctly take down orders and try to improve your awful phone line.

Great food and delivered on time

Never had a bad meal from this restaurant. The food is completely delicious and the service is excellent. Even on busy weekends, the delivery service is prompt, the food is hot and the orders are correct. You really can't go wrong here.

I stated am allergic to items and I start eating my food to find out my lip has swollen right up due to the carelessness of the cooks, can’t fault reception who takes the orders I’m am disgusted

Just average... I mean ,if I don't have to cook its all good, but I wish the quality of food was consistent, you never quite know what you're going to get, often underwhelming. The delivery guy is very friendly though always a smile on his face!

What a complete load of frozen homogenised rubbish. We had Spare Ribs in Peking sauce … the ribs tasted sour and smelt sharp and off. We didn’t eat them. Singapore Vermicelli which was cooked into oblivion. The sweet and sour balls … reformed and mass produced swill, barely cooked with soggy batter were horrible. Finally. Spring rolls. Yes. Those pancakes in filo pastry filled with noodles … NO. Wrapped in BATTER and filled with boiled slop. … interestingly awful. I have no idea who wrote the reviews previously. Perhaps it was a different restaurant then. Or different chefs. For us. It rates probably the WORST Chinese we have had the miss pleasure to endure. £30 quid up the Swanny and in the bin. Give it a miss. I’m off to the loo !

My sweet & sour chicken balls were a delightful infusion of tender cooked chicken in light crispy batter smothered in a sumptuously thick sauce that was weirdly sweet yet sour at the same time. Amazing!

We just had a truly lovely takeaway. I don't normally bother doing this but more people should, when you have good service we should let others know. We had a meal for 2 that arrived in 35 minutes of ordering, delivered to our door. It was truly delicious, the chicken tasted fresh and the pork dish was deliciously meaty and tasty. We'd been looking forward to treating ourselves to a lazy day and we perfected it with the yummiest of foods. Thanks hotwok!!!

Lovely, we are not local but had a Chinese from here and it was lovely - every dish gorgeous, would recommend and will use again when we next visit Cornwall.

Best chicken balls in the South West

The best Chinese takeaway I have had in a very long time. Not greasy like a lot are. Portion size was really good.

Always good for takeaway or delivery .NB takeaway collection is cash only, the £6 mixed starter is a little.feast, and the duck.woth mixed veg is also good.

NOT AUTHENTIC! I love himalayon speyes. My favourite restaurant was far TOO busy so I walked on down to hot wok. NEVER AGAIN! I had the special hot wok curry with red sawse. It was absolootly GUT renching. I also had spring rolls, tasted like fee sees rolled up in pancake. Then fried. Im really sorry to be leaving this review, i wish you all the best! This is how a spring roll should look.

My meal was delicious! And delivery was quick. The only thing was over ordering for pancake rolls as only wanted 2 and had 2 portions which made 6 in total

People say they are over priced but the food is the best in Liskeard so worth the extra. We had a meal from another Chinese Take Away last night and there was absolutely no comparison. I do wish the phone was answered though. It went to voice mail 4 times last night so we gave up hence the poorer meal.

Totally unacceptable, over priced. For the same meal at Kwong lees you pay £2-£3 less. The ribs have been reheat and i don't know how long they have been left out for. They look like the rats have got to them. I asked for a dry crispy beef, that was served up in sweet and sour sauce. With chillies when I asked for none. Thechicken in the chicken fried rice was dry and old. When I rang to complain I wasn't able to speak to the owner. I will never go here again. The should be ashamed of themselves.

Gross! Cold chicken curry and lumpy, fatty lamb and if the chips were alive before being cooked they could get up and walk away. Asked for part refund but because we threw the food away (they wanted to collect it) they wont part refund! Absolutely gross and shocking. Ideal place for food poisoning but thats about all. STAY AWAY!!!!

Normally excellent but not to night ordered at 6.22pm told 1hr 15 minutes for delivery still waiting at 8.29pm rang and told we've been busy and not cooked your order yet but if you come in and pick up it will be ready. I want my food delivered so I have to wait . Not impressed may have to look else where for my take away in future.

This takeaway/reataurant offers an interesting range of Chinese dishes as well as the usual offerings. The quality is normally very good but on rare occasions, it falls below their own standards. None the less, it can be recommended.

This is my local Chinese restaurant and my local takeaway. I am delighted say that the food here is great and there customer service is excellent. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Had the eat as much as you like deal, the food was amongst the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Will definitely be returning.

Ordered food from here and after an hour they rang me to say they are only just starting to cook the small ordered I had placed. Took around an hour 45 to get here. The quality of food was very poor. The chicken balls were appearing soggy soft and bendable but tasted very dry with no flavour at all. The meat in the curry didn’t taste like real meat at all, the pork was very gristly and the chicken was soft, slimy and disgusting. The prawn crackers were very good and the curry itself was good. But the meat was horrible

Friendly staff, great food, extensive menu and good management. Food is relatively fast, orders are usually delivered on time and phone is answered quickly. I recommend the Kung Po Squid and the Sweet Chilli Chicken :)

I am the biggest critic when it comes to Chinese food. The food at Hot Wok is the best I've had in a long time, the price is decent also.
