Hot & Tasty in Havering

I’m not saying it’s worst but quality was not best.! I don’t whether they using fresh meat or spoiled meat.!

The food was so delicious! Staff was very polite and very quick ! Definitely will be visiting again for the amazing wingsss!

Actually it was Not Hot & Tasty it was the cafe next-door. ROMFORD STATION CAFE!! You will not find a better place, you get more than your moneys worth and you will never leave there hungry. Try it and see for yourselves!

Chicken wings had maggot eggs on it. Very unfortunate as I used to be a regular Service was friendly as always however

Hygiene and cleanliness is not a high standard and needs to improve. The chicken was average and could also be better, however, the main issue is that the shop is dirty.

I’ve ordered from here on Uber eats two times now and both times they haven’t given me a single sauce or dip I’ve had to eat my food dry .Ive been many times in person as well and have noticed they are very stingy with they’re sauces they will give you one small tub with ur meal and that’s only if u ask for it .food overall is okay, the wings are very nice .

food was soggy and gross. -2/10 no salt either. only edible part was the dr pepper. never again

Small portion cold food and have the cheek to charge 40p for a sachets of sauce. X 4 . Never again I got the wrong hot and tasty don't do the same.

I bought the snack pack which is supposed to be 3 chicken wings and chips, only for my to home and discovered that I have only chips in my pack 😣😣😫

Where can i start. This place hands down has the best chicken and chips in East London. I come here all the time when i go Romford and it never disappoints. The flavour is immaculate and i cant get enough

Updated review: The prices keep going up, but the bad thing is the size of the burger is getting smaller. To make things even worse, both burgers had bad brown/mouldy lettuce in. The fillet itself is being sliced in half across the middle so you get a tiny slither of chicken. Hardly any mayo inside. And now really bad packaging. Really really poor quality for what used to be somewhere I value more than the other famous chicken place. Now this isn't a patch! To make matters even worse, I was told by someone that one day when the owner ran out of chicken he bought chicken from Lidl as a stopgap measure. This leads me to question whether it's halal! My previous old review: Always delicious. Prices increasing but it's still great.

I have had the worst customer service experience of my life. I ordered a chicken and chips loaded box, but when I got in the car, I realized that they had forgotten to give me the chips. When I went back to the restaurant to get the missing item, the staff showed an unhelpful attitude and refused to apologize. I asked for a refund for the food, but they denied my request. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this restaurant.

I paid for meal from 6 pc chicken strips with fries but him put me 5 strips 😉 I'm not getting poorer by minus one strips but You are losing me as a customer

Pizzas are great, chicken and chips really nice. The shop smelt nice and wasnt smelling of dirty oils. Kfc and dominos have nothing on these guys.. price is also very good!

Chicken Burger was so small I thought I ordered a nugget. I had to wait almost 5mins for the man behind the counter to finish his convo with staff. Utterly poor service, I only ate there because I had no other choice.

This place used to be very good, perhaps the best chicken shop in the area. However the prices have gone insanely high with the quality of the food being the same, if not worsen slightly. Some items have doubled in price, while others are not too far off They keep raw frozen chips above the frier, so they defrost and become soggy, only to then be thrown in the frier. If you order a beef burger, they will just take the beef patty and fry it instead of grilling it. The only nice things on there are the wings, but even they often feel like they've been cooked a few hours before being served

Went in to purchase a cold drink. I was the only customer in the shop and there were 4 mean dealing with a delivery order. A man told me to wait but he was just standing there watching his colleague put a box into a bag.

The chips were great but the staff were dog water. I asked for a leg and got a breast piece disrespectful.

Lack off hygiene cash handler took my money didn't wash hands and another guy came from through the front doors from outside and continued to make my wrap. Told them to stop and wanted my money back which they did. Although they did say I was rude when requesting my £ back I called them unhygienic.

Hot and Tasty? More like Cold and Crusty. I went in and ordered around 1pm where you still expect the product to have a fresh taste but it was awful. The chicken fillet in the burger is so thin and a weird triangular shape. The bun was literally so dry and hard that you could tap it on the table and it would make a knocking noise. Chips are ok and their chicken/wings are boring. I'm not one to leave a negative review and its my fault for constantly giving them the benefit of the doubt but what can you do when you're craving a burger and living in Romford means you have no good options. They've failed on many occasions but today was the worse. Do people not take pride in their work and products? How can you sell something not made with love.

Unfortunately im not happy with the service I recieved from the take away. Due to the server unfortunately not Listening properly in terms of my meal. I first asked the guy at the counter. How much by card? He responds with £5. I said ok can I please get 6 wings and chips. How much is that? He says thats £3. He then says £5 large chips and 2drinks. I was then thinking 6 wings large fries and 2 drinks £5 Then when I got the food unfortunately this is where the staff didnt listen properly. He gave me only large fries and 2 drinks I then went back into the store. He then says I didnt mention wings which I did. He then said unfortunately because my payment was made I wouldnt be able to get the wings. I understand it was a mistake these thing's happen which is fair. But in future the restaurant needs to listen properly and clearly.

Dry thin fillet burger. I was given a chicken piece and wings that were not fresh at all. Only thing fresh were the chips. Very disappointed.

BEAWARE! Stuff is very rude! The quality of this services are poor and aggressive behaviour .Never recommend again. I was charged an additional £2.40 by the serviceman. The young serviceman started behaving rudely and violently when I complained. The food is unhygienic ,cold, and the floor is moist. Without gloves they are touching food and exchanging money with the same hands are really unhealthy and dangerous.

Turned up just before they closed and they were amazing. Accommodated everything I needed. Being pregnant I fancied the garlic bread pizza but the oven was already off. Owner turned it back on for me especially. Amazing tasty food and very welcoming staff. Not expensive so can eat loads for less. definitely recommend visiting!!!

It's just your average chicken shop, the fried chicken is very average, and quite soggy. Not much crispy texture. Chips are pretty good. Decent pricing and value for money.

Came here last night quite late for food and I can say you should ignore the bad reviews about this chicken shop.. I had the chicken combo box and the chicken was cooked through and was ‘Tasty’ staff were polite as you would expect and think I waited about 3 minutes for my food. Top job chaps!!

BEAWARE This place is horrendous customer service is non existence the food is disgusting the owners do not care if customers return or not and are very rude towards customers. All the food and equipment used are the cheapest anywhere pls do not feed this shops food to your children.

Really simple order messed up. Items missing. Managed to get a refund from Uber Eats but can’t eat a refund.

Hot & Tasty Romford is the one. There were a few other shops but I chose this one as it had some nice combo meals that were good value. The chicken & chips were cooked to perfection. Taste was spot on. Will visit again if im in the area.

The worse chicken burger I’ve had, the chicken is so thin that they must slice it to paper size. It’s not good value for money. The pictures inside the shop show massive size burgers, when I got the the burger I tasted lettuce more than I did the burger

Poor quality, every order placed with instructions are ignored, seeing that the instructions are required for my children, very worrying that they seem to be unable to read .

The food is ok. Just a typical box of greasy chicken wings but with a good flavoured breadcrumb coating. It’s hits the spot when craving for fast food, although the fries tend to be over-fried and you end up with them all too crunchy. I prefer some that is still soft with fluffy potato inside. Not the best chicken & chip shop in town, but their uber eats delivery time is the shortest!

Very poor customer service, no eye contact, no please or thank you. Chips were so soggy and Luke warm, only looked at the fryer let alone been in it. Asked for Zinger, yet given normal chicken. Try around the corner, Victoria Rd, 1 minute from here. Had to be better than here.

Don't order from here. I ordered £35 worth of food and only half turned up. How hard is it to check the order before the driver takes the food? Absolute disgrace.

Food wasn't delivered ! I had to drive to the shop to find out where my food is because there phone number is invalid. Got abuse from staff . And told there's nothing they can do but to get in contact with just eat to sort this out . They wouldn't even give me my refund

Staff are rude and dismissive. Me and my wife ordered a chicken burger meal. The burger was very small was not worth the money I paid. Chips was just about cooked not crunchy and quite squishy. Staff got into arguments with multiple customers because they wouldn't give adequate sauce, one customer went as far as asking for a refund. All in all it's not worth the money or stress. Go somewhere else. IMO.

Great tasting food. Much better than most shops around the local area. Wings are of good size. Chicken burgers are probably the best ive tatsted around romford as its not dry and 'messy' like most shops. Its either this shop or kfc... and its most of the time this shop due to the value for money.

Went in at 11pm and had nothing left to sell me..... urm... Ok then. Supposed to be open till 1am.

Ordered a chicken fillet burger meal and a portion of wings. Firstly, 3 wings cost £1.20?! I can get 4 wings for a pound. Secondly, the portion of my chips was non existent.... Thirdly, the chips was so greasy I could taste the oil more than the actual chip itself. In addition, the 3 wings I ordered for £1.20 were no bigger than the size your thumb. However, the staff were friendly, kind and seemed to have a good relationship with their customers.

Easily the best chicken shop in Romford, and I'm hard pressed to think of another that's better anywhere else. The hots wings are ON POINT and everything else is a good as you're going to get. Tower burger meal is bang on for price. Only shame is they don't do pizzas anymore! They're on justeat, but can't find them on there all the time

Vile. One of the worst food experiences I have ever endured. I thought Dixy was bad, but this is something else! The chicken was absolutely disgusting, the skin was too dry and chewy, as for the meat, it was very slimy and very hard. Nasty nasty nasty - I do not recommend going here, unless you're a school kid, who'll end up throwing half of it on the floor anyway, or just some skint slob, who is prepared to vomit most of their internal organs up.
