I’ve been here a few times and can highly recommend it especially if you are trying to eat healthily. There are plenty of full fat and sweet options too and nothing is too much for Wioletta. We could all take a leaf out f her book when it comes to customer service. Hoping everyone will get out and support their local eateries in what is going to be a tough winter!

Went to Hot & Sweet for breakfast today and had to write a review to spread the word of this awesome little cafe at the top of the town in Dorchester. The breakfast was AMAZING and they accommodated a fussy 5 year old with delicious scrambled egg on toast. Service was excellent, really delicious fresh food and brilliant value. We will be returning very soon.

Have had both takeaway food and lunch from this cafe. Customer service is excellent and the choice is good. It is much bigger than you think it is from the outside as there is plenty of seating down a corridor. Prices are very good, great range of cakes. Highly recommended

Amazing customer service. I wanted my food delivered however deliveroo do not have any function to highlight gluten free food options. I rang the cafe and was greeted by the loveliest person who was so cautious in making sure the food was going to be safe for me. The breakfast was perfect you could not fault it! The coffee is still steamy hot almost an hour later! AND the take away contains are also 100% compostable!! My morning was also blessed with a cheeky slice of cake which I am SO excited to try later!! I will be going back!

Excellent, attentive and friendly service. Also able to cater for gluten-free requirements and two small children. Tasty all day breakfast and paninis all very good.

Lovely lunch, very nice staff helpful and a brilliant chef the food was delicious, will definitely go in again next time we pop down to Dorchester. Dog was welcome aswell.

We were recommended this little gem while on our holidays recently. The outside of the cafe wasn’t particularly welcoming. But inside the main eating area towards the rear was spotless. Covid procedures were in place. We had two paninis and drinks. The paninis were excellent, served with a side salad that had obviously been prepared with care and attention to detail. The staff were friendly and efficient. Good value for money too.

We had a large breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast, along with two wonderful coffees. Service was excellent, the food delicious, and we were made to feel welcomed. We will return next time we are in the area to try some of the scrumptious looking cakes! A great find in Dorchester.

Delicious Vegetarian breakfast, even spoliled with gluten- free toast:-) My daughter was spoiled with a crunchy ham and cheese toastie.

Visited Hot & Sweet with a group one evening in January - Wiola had prepared a really lovely Polish buffet for us, an excellent evening !

A very friendly café with a warm atmosphere. Popped in for a light lunch. Soup of the day was mixed vegetable, which was quite nice and the bread was lovely. The service was excellent.

We received a warm and friendly welcome from the owner staff on cold November morning. Great coffee and an interesting choice of gluten free cakes. Thank you, we shall be back.

I often come here for breakfast meetings before work - coffee, bacon sandwiches and orange juice. Wiola is always accommodating and ready to top-up any drinks! Never feel rushed either. I also grab coffee to takeaway on my way past during the day, along with a slice of gorgeous cake....(try the courgette and avocado!)

We found this little gem today. I had the eggs benedict with a white coffee and my wife had an iced coffee (made as an off the menu request). We were greeted with a very warm welcome and loved the food & coffee. After asking about the lovely cakes on display, we took home a nice treat for the evening! If you’re in Dorchester, you really need to visit this cafe. We plan on returning very soon!

This is an amazing cafe, great selection of food always well prepared and served with a smile. I often order ‘off menu’ and that is never a problem.The polish night was brilliant. We went as a group and all had the tapas so that we could try a bit of everything. We all loved trying something new and the food was perfectly cooked!Definitely recommend

Had a very lovely evening enjoying Polish cuisine with family at Hot & Sweet's first evening opening. Well worth a visit. Great food in an intimate setting. Relaxed atmosphere and Wioletta's personal service with a smile was the icing on the cake. You'll need to get in quick if you want to give it a go though as it's only happening on Fridays in June.

Always enjoy my oat/soya latte and vegan carrot cake. Wioletta is very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the weekly Polish night.

Very tasty baguette with good, inventive options on the menu. Lovely looking selection of cakes which I wanted to sample! The coffee smelt good too but the thing which shone the most was the welcoming smiling service. Would recommend 😊

Called in this friendly cafe at the top of the high street west and enjoyed a lovely sandwich and coffee at a very reasonable price. Good range on offer including vegan and vegetarian. Recommended.

Popped in here the other day as I often pass it by on route walking to somewhere, but so glad I did.

Stopped in for a late breakfast after a busy morning—great value for a substantial breakfast and a coffee. The server was so warm and welcoming. Conveniently located, especially if you are working at the Dorset Record Office. One of my favorite places in Dorchester so far.

I am often in Hot and Sweet for the delicious breakfasts, but on my recommendation I suggested Hot and Sweet as a venue for our Christmas Bookclub evening get together. The meal had a Polish twist to it and absolutely didn't disappoint. The food was tasty, plentiful, hot and excellent value. We all loved it! I really hope Wioletta does more evening offerings in the future.

If you are going to charge just below the average meal deal price for a sandwich it needs to be above average in it's quality. It can't be a couple of slices of sliced bread with rubbery cheese and cheap thin ham.

My friend suggested we meet for lunch and said she had discovered Hot and Sweet and she thought it was the best of the many cafes in the town. The owner gave us a warm and friendly welcome. We both selected jacket potatoes and I chose the brie and cranberry option. There was a short wait while the food was prepared but that plate of food that arrived was well worth waiting for. A freshly cooked jacket potato (not one that had been kept warm for hours) was served with a very generous portion of brie, 2 pieces of bacon and aside salad with a lovely variety for ingredients. The food was delicious. The owner was attentive of our needs didn’t mind that after our meal we stayed chatting for quite a while. I hate it when the staff hover around to “enourage” you to leave the minute you have finished the last mouthful. I would certainly recommend this cafe.

I've been to this excellent little cafe near the Top Of Town roundabout Dorchester, Dorset, about half a dozen times and it never disappoints. Whether you have just a coffee or tea or a full breakfast (which also has a vegetarian option), Violetta and her chef produce delicious food and a war welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend this gem to my family and friends.

Went for lunch. The food is really lovely & fresh. Great atmosphere, small but perfectly formed & the welcome is fantastic!! Will definitely return.

Popped in earlier just on the off chance, wow what a great varied menu. Wife and I had 2 x veggie breakfasts and were not disappointed!! Lovely haloumi , mushrooms, fresh eggs , avocado and cherry tomatoes- cooked superbly. Coffee and service was also superb, looking forward to going back and sampling the avocado and courgette cake!! 5*

Had a lovely celery and stilton soup with cappuccino with a very yummy almond and hazelnut biscuit, nan had the same and daughter had a cheese and ham sandwich :) come here a few times a week and love it every time!

Popped in for lunch and a coffee when I had family visiting was browsing the menu from outside and someone entering cafe said they would highly recommend eating there so took them up on the recommendation.... the cafe is run by a very friendly and welcoming lady.

just popped in for a quick bowl of homemade soup (spicy sweet potato) and a coffee. Great welcome, friendly staff, fab coffee and soup was delicious. Good menu choices and prices sensible. Homemade scones lush too!

I've been using this café on a regular basis since it opened as the quality of the food is good yet affordable, it's clean, and service is always friendly. I'm a fan of the meat free breakfast which comes with halloumi and can also recommend the omelettes. Everyday there is a different homemade soup and daily special baguette/ panini option. Each month there is a special offer. Last month was a free scone with every got drink purchased if you had a flyer, this month (and next) there is a special offer on breakfast meals. It's in a handy location too if you're visiting the Roman town house which is under 5 mins walk away, Borough Gardens or the hospital.

Popped in for a late breakfast which was not only delicious and great value, but nicely presented too, with tomatoes cooked on the vine and beans kept separate. Coffee was great too. The owner is really friendly and knows what she is doing. Have been meaning to pop in for ages and am very glad i did eventually. It certainly won't be the last time!!
