The Horse and Jockey is hands down my favourite pub I've ever been to! My boyfriend and I moved to Bodicote and instantly fell in love with our local pub. All of the staff are so lovely and always welcoming and the best to chat to! I always order a pint of Guinness and every time it is the best Guinness I've tasted outside of Ireland! Can't recommend this pub enough it really is the best!

A nice pub located on the outskirts of the town although the drinks are quite expensive and the decor and furniture need updating the management and staff are friendly and helpful

Not the cheapest beer prices in town, but then not the most expensive. Had a quality night out in this pub a few weeks back now!

We went here for the first time today at 12 o'clock having been led to believe it opened at 11 am by looking up on the Internet . We couldn't enter and the person inside tried to tell us something but we couldn't understand what they were trying to say as they didn't open the door or window to speak to us. So we assumed it wouldn't be open till this evening we ended up at the exchange where we had a pleasant time and will most likely return to.

A whole lot better than is was the last time I went in there. The new bar manager seems to be sorting things out.

Made my friend and I feel very uncomfortable, was rude the last time we was there all in all wouldn’t coke back due to that waitress (she was exempt from wearing a mask) used to go there all the time till recently !

Cheap and cheerful but also disgusting in the toilets sometimes and some creepy old dudes in here but it's okay I suppose

This pub is good for late night stopping if you want continue drinking early hours in the morning

The place is quite quaint in its own way but an upgrade is planned for the near future. Service is good although a rather limited range of drinks.

They are rebuilding at the moment and thats exact what they should do with such great fantastic food. My wife eated today there lamb andmintpie. And became silent from the beauty of the lamb.(silance of the lambs😉) I eated the ruhmsteak and even now ten hours later im still not hungry, I was even aloud to leave my car at there lot after lunch to visit the old town. This pub is a very good reasson to visit the town and for us to come back to the uk once more. Thanks youre our nr 1 food in the uk so far great. Regards from Holland.

Went here because currently working on a construction site in Banbury boys thinking there hard & taking drugs here and starting on people! Pubs more like a brothel and a drug den instead of a pub!

I came back after 23 years! Cosy pub, not clicky unlike many places in Banbury, no short measures on drinks. Central location for town.

The Horse and Jockey is a little out of the mainstream of the usual Banbury tourist despite its proximity to the famous Cross. It is an old style traditional pub with a small bar (seats about 4) and a few tables in a low beamed room containing the obligatory dartboard. Another room off this one contains a pool table. There is a small courtyard at the back with a few picnic tables which is a very nice quiet spot to eat lunch on pleasant day. Lunch menu is fairly limited in choice but what we had was excellent quality. The food service is "franchised out" to a young lady who does an amazing job of food preparation on site - the Tuna salad was absolutely first class - even the (free range) hard boiled eggs in it were freshly prepared (still slightly warm). If you want a Traditional pub experience outside the normal tourist pubs in town - this is your place.
