Can’t say enough about this place! Food is incredible. Service amazing. We actually ate in and the lady brought our food over, with napkins too! So friendly and helpful. Will definitely be visiting regularly. Thank you so much. Ceri and Gary.

It was the worst kebab and fish i had

Awful. Everything was drier than the Sahara. Fish was full of bones and the battered burger was like a hockey puck. Most of it went in the bin. Never again

Just ordered fish and chips from here and the fish is so rubbery and dry it’s awful. Don’t go here

I use this chip shop all the time the food is always fresh great value if you haven't tried it do so its brilliant I wouldn't go anywhere else now but here we'll done to all the team and thank you for the brilliant service I receive

Make sure kebab meat fresh. About 3 times same problem. Fresh meat being cooked last night he turns round shifty look gives me 80/20 bad meat. Took first 2 bk thrown the 3rd outside the shop. Peas curry gravey always cold they warm up in microwave. Looks a good place but take a walk up the road to the Greeks. They know what they're doing 🍻

Overcooked fish , less batter no crunch ,peri peri chicken not hot very dry . Won’t be going again !!!!!

Ordered a half pound burger got home opened it and was only given a quarter pounder , burger was very rat like, i don't think it was real meat, straight out of a microwave

Dry fish...tried it as we normally go to Grimsbey but not again... chips lovely but fish didn't seem just cooked to us.

Not great, chicken kebab, dry, small, salad taken from what I thought was display on top of counter and over priced compared to other outlets, put me off repeat visit sadly.

Fish was luke warm soggy batter and luke warm chips

Chips were stale, there was little fish in the battered fish. Terrible standard for the price. I would expect a piping hot, fresh piece of fish (of a decent size) and fresh, hot chips at 6pm on a Friday. No stars, will not ever buy dinner there again.

Unfortunately the the fish and chips we had were very poor and dried out. There wasn't really a redeeming element. Maybe we just a bad experience but won't be going there again

Poor quality of food, not very warm, chips weren't very nice, one of the pie bases was hard and inedible and barely any sauce on the kebab, given this place a few chances but won't be going back again.

Always gone here for my kebab and chips , with curry sauce as a side, normally 9 quid, ordered today was 18 quid, i said u sure thats alot more than I normally pay , got told the prices gone up deal with it! It was a a new member of staff, but christ attitude, thankfully one of the regular staff sorted it and was 11 quid! Will struggle to go back now shame

much better since change of ownership. Chicken kebab meat is good and the chips very, very good. Piri Piri chicken also has good spice and flavour. would recommend.

Good food quality but portion sizes for what you pay is not good

Me and the wife had a lunchbox each and my son had chicken nuggets and chips. Got to say this place has gone down hill, soggy chips, batter, fish and sausage! No crunch. No taste. The food was dripping in oil. It was just awful. Also got more soggy batter than fish! All this for an expensive £18. Will not be eating from there again! Needless to say this made us I’ll for a few hours.

The chippy itself was fine. If I was in the area I'd probably pop by again. The young woman that was serving had great customer service, and was quick to make sure everyone was seen to. Portions are large! Was able to share the chips from a fish supper between 2 without issue.

Looking forward to fish and chips on Friday. Ordered online for collection. Collected and went home for our meal. How dissatisfied and disappointed was I. Portion size was huge but the chips were the most awful I've ever had. Tasted like they had been reheated. The potatoes used must have been really poor as had lots of black bad bits on them. Therefore, most of them binned. The fish was ok but have never had one with the skin still left on. Won't be back. If had lived closer would have returned said chips to the Atlantis they were unfortunately that bad.

So after hearing how great this chip shop was I decided to give it a try and ordered a meal for 3 people. 2 people had fish and 1 had a pie. The Haddock was OK but disappointing one side still had the skin on. But that is a minor grumble. The pie which was a pleasant surprise was hot in the middle when most chip shop pies are warm at best. But most disappointing of all was the chips. Where as I can't knock the amount given the quality of chip and the standard of cook was awful. There were many black and green potato pieces many chip bits and others that hadn't seen the cooking oil for long enough or in many hours. Now considering when ordered via the app I received message saying the meal would take 30 mins to be ready. And the shop had only just recently reopened after the lunchtime trade. I was under the impression all the food was probably being freshly cooked, so the wait time although disappointing wasn't a huge deal. But upon opening the chips as stated they were black and green and clearly old hardly any oil on the paper wrap so I can only conclude these were from the mornings cook or the night before. Of the bags of chips ordered 1 total bag went in the recycle in they were so disappointing. The curry sauce we had average at best. All in all very disappointing and expensive experience. Doubt I will use this chippy again.

Stopped off after a hold up on the M40 on a Friday night. Friendly and efficient service, the fish was amazing, chips were tasty and the gravy went down well with the crowd at home.

Ordered tonight missing part of order. Manageress said just contact Uber for refund. When I said I'd just like the food got told couldn't do it. Admitted their mistake and when I said wouldn't use again got told "good, happy new year" and then hung up. Thought local businesses need our support

We ordered online and ordered: 1 cheeseburger 1 cod 1 cheesy chips, no vinegar 1 normal chips, vinegar But without asking they chucked the fish in with the vinegared chips and the person who had the fish hates vinegar, so it kind of spoiled the fish and therefore the meal. A small mistake, I suppose, but with a big impact. Other than that the food was nice!

Stopped on Route, whilst we were travelling. Fantastic service, very quick and delicious and tasty Lamb doner and chips. Would definitely recommend and come back again. Reasonably priced.

I'm a delivery driver who was just passing through and spotted this place. Stopped for some chips but ended up getting a donner, what a great choice that was! Food was 10/10, fresh, tasty, hot and fairly priced! The staff were very friendly and well presented! If I pass through again I'll be sure to stop!

Disappointed with this place we are being told to use card payments where possible so took my card didnt have any cash my order was £4.50 i was told minimum £8 to use your card i couldn't eat £8 worth of chips told them forget it ill go else where left shop went to the other chip shop on middleton rd guess what no minimum payment guess what wont be coming back to your shop muppets

Excellent service, staff well dressed and spoken. Prices are very good, portions are great and the freshness is spot on. Ate here twice, one was fish and chips which was good all round and the other was a mixed kebab and chips posted. Cleanliness was good and the head chef, assumed the owner runs a tight ship and is good at what he does. Best kebab I've ever had, hands down.

Excellent service good price for the portions very friendly. Manager has also introduced extended menu to suit vegan,vegetarian, and gluten free customers and is very open to any other customer requests food always fresh. Also willing to take corporate orders for delivery would highly recommend. myself and the company that I work for have not been disappointed since new manager has taken over .

A great fish bar. Good food, good service, well priced.

Really disappointed with the food today! The chips were soggy and not crispy. The scampi I ordered was good but I also bought a spring roll which, frankly, was horrible. And I like spring rolls! It tasted like disinfectant and again, was soggy. My wife had the fish which was okay. All in all, it spoilt my tea, which is a shame as Fish and Chips is a ‘once in a blue moon’ occurrence for me. The food at Q Fish in Queensway/Bodicote is much better than this!

Good quality chippy always busy

This was indeed an unexpected surprise! ! The chips were superb!! (Really Good Indeed) ....the only thing I found fault with was that I asked for a burger in batter.....a aaaand was given a ruddy sausage in batter... (there was a battered burger in the hot cabinet,but this sweating orca in a oversized dress pointed out,quite loudly.....that the aforementioned battered beef disc was indeed hers...... and judging by her slobbering maw,wide staring eyes and general demeanor.....who was I to argue. The curry sauce is that weak translucent wallpaper paste type goooop commonly found in English chippy .......hey ho

Good fish chips I think could do cooking a little longer

Good selection of choices and very well done fish.

Went here for lunch, my colleague asked if the spring rolls were vegetarian. The lady said they were. After eating a chunk of one I discovered they contain chicken. When we called to let them know and they denied that my colleague asked. No apology, no offer to make it right. The chips are soggy too. Avoid!

i asked for a fresh fried fish and went to tesco. got fish from a warmer and chips with more oil in it then in a f.. oil can.....never again. and these smug faces with lie writen on a their faces..... lovelly
