Delicious food and lovely staff. We found a deep-fried moth in our fries, but the staff was very professional about it and offered free deserts, which were also delicious. Thank you!

The fish was great, the burger was too dry and over cooked. I would prefer not to have a woodlouse in my drink but hey ho.

We visited for a light lunch and sat in the garden. Very nice food, well presented and delicious.

One of my favourite restaurants in Chichester. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The ambiance was perfect for any occasion. A must-visit for anyone who loves great food and top-notch hospitality!

Had a brilliant Valentine’s supper here. The cooking was phenomenal, especially the starter and dessert. Such a lovely environment with excellent service. Would definitely recommend and will return for sure!

The rooms and food were excellent, but what really stood out to us was the excellent service of all the staff. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had a certain request we would not normally make but the staff were more than happy to assist us, which we greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend the Horse and Groom as a place to stay.

Lovely location, good parking and it’s a pub that manages so well to mix a really good quality restaurant, fairly smart, with a well-filled locals bar. A selection of good ales and occasional live music tops up this go to pub.

The room was very nice but there was no milk despite the tea & coffee making facilities. There was bottled water on the second day which there had not been on the first. Neither of these things were awful but they were odd. We had booked dinner for both nights and both the 'pie of the day' and 'cheesecake of the day' were the same on both occasions. There was only one vegetarian option on the menu so the second night involved two starters and a side. We did enjoy our stay greatly and these things are mere observations on my part.

Exceptional food, great service and ambiance. The highlight for me was the smoked trout as the starter accompanied with warm rye bread. Certainly one of the best eateries to be had in the South.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon as a trip down memory lane, for my partner, as this used to be his dad's pub. Quite a few changes and improvements have been made including extending the car park, the beer garden (which used to be the private garden) and now having the rooms to stay in. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon there for some overdue reminiscing.

Great food and atmosphere. The pub is decorated beautifully. Had a very enjoyable evening. Staff also excellent. Would recommend to all.

Came here for dinner with our 3 year old and 4 month old, as we were staying round the corner in a holiday chalet at northlands farm. Absolutley lovely pub, very friendly staff, the garden is so cute too. We had a very nice dinner, my son had fish Goujons, which were proper fish goujons! Made fresh and my husband and I had the fish pie - BEST fish pie I've ever had! Also liked the fact you could hear and see the kitchen. Just the right amount of food. Along with drinks, great food and lovely staff, we had a very nice meal in a charming garden. Thank you! Fern and family 😀

Excellent in every way. I stayed last weekend with my wife for a weekend in West Wittering and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and comfortable with a large bed and excellent shower. We also stayed for dinner which was excellent, well priced and delicious. A business is only as good as the staff, and the whole team was brilliant from beginning to end, with great service and attentive but without being overbearing. Dog friendly and nice beer garden.

I wished we’d been able to stay longer. We were attending a wedding near by and we had to call a couple of times prior to the wedding. Everyone we spoke to were very attentive and so we felt confident about our stay and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and polite. Check in was very smooth and we had fresh mint and cold milk added to room for making teas and coffees. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms at a high standard. We enjoyed our breakfast the next day and the customer service was excellent. Next time we head towards Chichester we’ll be sure to extend our stay so we can spend more time at this lovely pub. Lovely food. Service is a bit slow.

Unfortunately I hated the Sunday roast. Not a lot of gravy. Tiny pieces of meat with a lot of fat on them and It is expensive -£25.00. I asked to change my beef and they it came even worse. Service was good, staff friendly

A sandwich that costs £16.50, sausage or cheese and tomato that was our Hobson's choice. Being local for 50 years I went to a pub due north of foxbury woods and got a bacon and brie sandwich with a choice of breads for half the price. I told the landlady about the prices too. She was as gobsmacked as I was.

Went there today with family and our dog. We are in the bar as dogs not allowed in the dining room. The lovely staff couldn't be more helpful, especially sorting out the children's meals. The food was fabulous 👌 so tasty and well presented. I had the lamb, rosemary and garlic pie which was to die for, so tender a fantastic gravy. We left a child's Spiderman bag behind, but I got a phone call from the pub and we went back to collect it. Very kind of them. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, we will definitely be back.

Love this pub. The service is great and the food is excellent. Proper pub grub and all served up with a smile. The old part of the pub has a great interior with some original paintings and memorabilia.

Without a doubt one of the best places we’ve been to, we were here for a week and have been back three times! The staff are expectional, the food is absolutely fantastic and just go above and beyond to make it a lovely experience. I can’t recommend this place more highly.
