Food was great, Sean was our service and was very polite, and helped us with what we needed

Absolutely lovely meal tonight at the Hornet. A party of 22 of us. Sean was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing! So polite and attentive, he kept us updated on our meal times and kept us smiling with his banter. Fantastic service and lovely food we will back again in the future.

Had a meal here this evening, new menu with great choices, compliments to the chef the food was delicious, great service by Sean. Would recommend

Pleasant staff, good service, reasonably priced menu. Every item of the breakfast I had was hot and nicely cooked. Couldn't fault it. Since my first review (above) I have returned several times and the service and food has always been excellent. Most recently had steak and Ale Pie, chips and peas. Large portions, all hot. All nicely cooked and presented. Excellent.

Absolutely beautiful food, highly recommend the chicken strips they were beautiful. Staff are friendly! Camilla is absolutely lovely and very friendly too! :)

Tracy was our server and she went above and beyond for us and our little lad. She made sure we knew the plate was hot and brought colouring and cutlery out for him appropriate for his age range. She made sure we had what we needed and asked if everything was okay with the meal. 10/10 service

Visited the area and tried the pub yesterday on a whim from liverpool, staff where great especially tracy she was brilliant with my naughty wild toddler. Brought him all extra cutelry making him feel at ease, dont see that very often in pubs/restraunts thankyou.

Took my granddaughter to the Hornet. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. A special thanks to Tracy (without an e) 🤣🤣will be back.

We came in to use my tesco colleague rewards voucher and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and Tracy really looked after us. Even though she was rushed off her feet she was so lovely and friendly. Hope we get served by her again. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast.

The roast dinner was good - adding the extra yorkies definitely worth it. The ultimate big candy mania was huge - defo a 2 person pud. The apple and berry crumble was gorgeous and would have that again for sure. The service was great Shaun couldn't do enough for us

Had an excellent experience here yesterday food was great, the staff were excellent and helped massively as a friend has recently finished radiotherapy treatment and was his first time out for a feed, the lass behind the bar was sympathetic to our dietary needs, and the kitchen did everything to his needs. A massive thank you and congrats on a job well done.
