Good food and drinks and a nice atmosphere! Come here with my dad once a month and would recommend for good pub grub!

Came just after lunch time was relatively quite nice atmosphere. No issues ordering at the bar and quick service. Tracy brought out the food and made sure everything was ok. Lovely lady.

We have visited the hornet before for Christmas dinner which was amazing. Today we thought we would go for a late lunch and just like last time it was great. Very nice food and friendly staff, special mention to Faith behind the bar who was very welcoming and served us quickly despite it being busy!

Beyond happy with our visit tonight for my son’s 6th birthday meal! Been well looked after from the start and throughout by the lovely Camilla and Sean.. all staff went above and beyond! Helpful with taking our large orders (we dined with 12 people) checking for allergens in an order that isn't in the top 14, served quickly with food that was perfect! Always happy and enthusiastic, and even gave us the best rendition of happy birthday to end our beautiful evening out!

We ate here on Friday the 9th as a couple it was a lovely meal served within a decent time frame so we decided to return on the Sunday with the family which was apparently a mistake! We ordered via the app and the drinks came out promptly but without any glasses so we had to request those, the food took about an hour to come out. We ordered 3 turkey dinners (one childrens) and one duo (beef and turkey) The turkey on everyone's plate was dry as a bone! You couldn't cut through it and it snapped it was so dry and crumbled! The mash and roasties were cold The carrots were undercooked and basically raw, i didn't even bother to try the stuffing ball as it looked cremated and dry as well. The only redeemable parts were the Yorkshire pudding and gravy. When asked how our food was we were honest with our server (regretfully we didn't get her name) and she was lovely to offer us a replacement but by then we were underwhelmed and just wanted to leave. It's put my MIL off returning given this was her first time there, I can't blame her.

We live extremely local and haven't been in for a very long time, since the refurb. It's been done up reqlly well and Sean was very welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure it was an overall nice experience.

Excellent service from Faith, Megan and Camilla tonight. Nice place for families to eat, even has children's TV in the booths. Much cleaner, better atmosphere than other places in the area. Good value for money (offers on every night) and very pleasant meals.

Lovely food and service from Camilla

Portion sizes were quite small, particularly when the larger kids was the same as a small kids portion. Drinks and service was all at a good speed and staff were all friendly- served by Faith.

It was a birthday catch up with my friend and we were made to feel so welcome from the outset, nothing was too much for the staff in particular Tracey who was extremely friendly and helpful and she even brought my dessert with a lit candle in and sang me happy birthday ! The hornet is our local, which we come to on a regular basis. The staff, especially Camilla have always been brilliant with myself and my 2 young children. Always welcomed, acknowledged and treated with respect. 5*s from me!
