We came as a booking of 25, the service and food was outstanding. Magda especially was so lovely and couldnt do enough for our large group. we expected a little wait as there was so many of us but the staff were prepared. Extremely impressed with our visit.

Quality food and service for our visit tonight. The staff, especially Magda are a credit, and the food was delicious. We were a large party of 25 and honestly couldn't praise the whole experience enough!

Tracey was our waitress, and her customer service was 10/10 impeccable, she was so lovely and made our first visit to the pub wonderful, we will definitely be back here again. The food was really good and for a family of 7 really reasonably priced. There’s not one fault I can pick with our visit to the pub today and we will be back thanks very much

I have lots of food allergies and I have never had a place where they do wooden cards so they know which plate is the allergy plate. This saves embarrassment when food arrives as they dont have to ask which is for the allergy food for. All staff are brilliant but must say Harry goes above and beyond.

Staff extremely helpful and asked appropriate questions. Also took the allergy advice in to context and delivered a fantastic meal. Would highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be coming again. Huge thank you to Harry who was the one person who made sure everything was done correctly. Fantastic bloke.

Tracey was lovely and accommodating. Great place to sit in the sun, have a drink and some food. Just give the veggie lasagna a wide birth but otherwise, food was good.

We have just come back from the breakfast with the easter bunny. We really enjoyed it! they put us in a quiet area to help with my sons sensory needs and one of the guests from my party medical issues and they were both able to enjoy the full experience. The easter bunny did keep popping over to us to see my boy. I was worried we would of been forgotton but, he came over and played with my shy little boy, which for me was so lovely to see as he can struggle with these things. The food was amazing very filling i had the full english breakfast, my little boy had the bunny pancakes. My other two guests had The sausage sandwich and the auper special breakfast. We all very much enjoyed the food! the staff was lovely. Thank you for making the easter bunny so special for my boy! Only thing i would mention is the booking service 3 of my guest couldnt makw it and i tried to amend the booking via website and phone call but, it couldnt go through. Apart from that we really enjoyed the morning!

Tracy is a credit to the pub, we have been a few times and her welcoming demeanour is always a reason we come back. She goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience. Food was very good and very reasonably priced. The kids enjoy the park area.

With these new owners /management, the Hornet has been transformed. We've been a few times over the past 6 months and it is becoming a family favourite. Food has been top notch every time, starters, mains and puddings - well cooked, well presented and fresh (including the veg) with a range that offers something for everyone (the lamb flatbread, sizzlers and steak pie are our faves. Service has been timely even when they are busy and with a smile every time, waiters all friendly even with kids and happy to help. Tables and floors and bathrooms are clean. An entirely 'new' restaurant all together - as good as it gets for this price range 10/10.

Popped in to use the facilities and have a quick drink on a nice day. Tracy saw us and ensure the table we were going to was clean and even offered an activity pack and crayons for my niece which was appreciated! Even said thank you on the way out which was lovely.
