When arriving the table was ready for all 14 of us 😊 staff were friendly and helpful. When ordering food - we did have several orders but the food came out at the same time and all hot, there were a couple of mistakes but they were sorted out no problems at all, the staff behind the bar and waiting on staff were more than happy to sort any issues out. They sorted out the cake and were happy to sing happy birthday with us all. Tables were cleared quickly. The food was lovely, hot and came out in a timely manner, over all a really good experience and will definitely be returning 😀

Ordered gammon, was dry,chips cold, pineapple and tomatoe burnt had to ask for another, cheeseburger and chips were cold and dry

Great atmosphere from the get go, warn and inviting, nice decently sized pub amazing outside area. Friendly staff always willing to serve you a pint, very approachable and any questions just ask. Food is good depending on how busy it is, sometimes you’ll have one side of your pizza burnt but it’s understandable for how busy it gets. Only real complaint is the prices just be willing to reach into those pockets.

Quite disappointed went for lunch with my friend at at 1pm there was only one banquet left, we always have these and the main reason we choose this pub. If it was later in the day I could possibly understand.

I came Friday evening with my sister April we had lovely fish and chips the staff were very helpful and made our night comfortable especially Izzy so thankyou, sorry it was only 4 x stars but due to a crowded table with all male drinkers we could not have a conversation as these boys were far too loud and overpowered our relaxing meal. Me and my wife have been here a few times recently. The food is great, staff are great and service- especially from Lilley-Mae is great. She’s very friendly, polite and attentive.

We as a family come to the Horn and Trumpet alot the staff are so welcoming, they make a really lovely effort to be friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is always good, a genuine lovely pub with a lovely bunch of staff, Will especially is a lovely boy:)

Husband got my order wrong and they corrected it no quibble in minutes. Lovely server was Lilly-Mae. Friendly and helpful.

Will B and many of the other staff are lovely always have a smile on their face when we come in over all it’s a wonderful place

Disappointed. The pub was full due to half term and an animal event but the staff were helpful and friendly when we arrived with no booking and soon found us a table but it went downhill when the food arrived. We had fish, chips and mushy peas, both the fish and mushy peas seemed like they had been cooked for a while, the peas were dry and a bit crusty on top, the fish was dry and batter hard, the only good part was the chips. We didn't complain as we were both hungry and thought it would take quite a while for anything better.

We went for Sunday lunch but a total disaster. The worst roast beef we’ve ever had - all fat and gristle. Yorkshire puddings flat and tough, vegetables overcooked.

As usual, my experience left nothing to be desired. I, as well as both other members of my party received great quality service, as well as delicious food; we loved it and will of course be back again soon.

Can’t recommend highly enough, I visit the horn and trumpet regular enough usually at least once a week and sometimes more often. Every single time if it’s for food with the family or just a drink while passing, it’s just a really nice place to spend and hour or so. The food is good and so are the drinks if it’s just a chilled one you fancy, also perfect for bringing the kids as my lad would agree. The thing that stands out for me is the atmosphere and the staff in general, Holly especially Is lovely, friendly and chatty she has now even memorised our drinks order. Overall just a great place to eat, drink and relax.

Yesterday was my Husband's funeral and we booked the space and silver buffet at the Horn and Trumpet. We were all impressed by the food and service and would like to thank Chelsea, Holly, Will P and Will B for their excellent food and service.

We had a lovely meal thank you. Our table was waiting just as I requested on the booking system, quieter and easy access for elderly parents in law. The waitress Lilley-Mai was very polite, attentive and smiley. Bar staff were professional and quick to serve. The manager was very supportive in explaining how to sign up for future offers. Thank you all.

Been not long ago meals took ages to come out and were poor, went in for a meeting with a friend the other day and the nachos were horrible and cold as well also

Great place with great value for money and friendly staff. Only marked down because the outdoor area was full of people smoking even though there's a sign that says not to. Other than that I can't fault this place.

We got there around 5pm ordered roast beef and lasagna, the food wasn't as fresh as it probably was earlier in the day, but filled the spot. The pub started to become busier and louder so we left to go home. Nothing against the pub, we were just tired.

Staff just look miserable. The place has gone severely downhill the past year. It seems that it is just run by children. Staff seemed more concerned about speaking about each other than actually helping customers.

We attended for a birthday meal last night 3/8/24, the service was fab, the food was amazing and the price was good.. will definitely be black again

Enjoyable meal, service was good. I would just like to say that more attention needs to be paid to cleaning the tables properly. I pulled the table closer to me and the sides were very sticky and, clearly, had not been cleaned for some time.

Staff didn't look like they were enjoying their jobs and were very rude the food came late and was absolutely disgusting but we were very hungry and ate it the only upside to the day was dessert

We booked for Fathers day very enjoyable and we have alsi got our Christmas booking. We use the venue regulour as we can bring our little dog with us and have a nice relaxing day.

Great staff, always helpful and accommodating. A little bit pricey but a nice place for a meal with friends or family. Connor was really helpful. What a great representative for you.

My husband and our friends go out every week and we have recently had a puppy We have taken him with us before but the welcome he received at the horn and trumpet was amazing Blanket, biscuits,water it was a pleasure to spend time there without feeling like outcasts Also the food and service was excellent Thank you to all the team

Been here a few times with no issues however our last experience was not good. A party of 3 ordered food at the same time and 2 of the meals came pretty quickly however, the third meal took longer. After asking staff twice where the meal was we were told the order was missed. Staff were lovely and apologetic and offered drinks as compensation but service was awful.

Good experience overall, just pricey for what it is.

If your planning on going out for food I wouldn't bother with this place..got one member of staff running in and out the kitchen with food and running the bar I was stood for 15 minutes without anyone even noticed I was there....shocking..

Went in with my dog after a 12 hour shift at work looking forward to a pint and a steak. They asked if I want any sauce I picked one with merlot in it being a wine lover. Food came dog food came sat there waiting for my sauce 10 minutes staring at my food going cold went in what's going on where my sauce I paid for? Oh sorry 🙏 we will bring it now another 5 minutes goes buy. I'm hangry by this point 2-3 working days to get my money back!!! Absolute joke! Quick enough take it off me. I will not be visiting again. Thanks for the reply in that case then tell your very lovely girls behind the bar not to up sell the meals, if your busy! . If its that difficult for the chef to get one lone order of steak chips and sauce correct, Normally i would never bother with sauces. I have had an extremely tough week with work and and with the form of chemotherapy I take to prevent my bowel cancer returning. which of course they didn't know. but whether they did of not, it sent me over the edge all of Saturday I didn't leave my house. Not just because of that, that was the nail in the coffin. That lone steak I was very very much looking forward to was my treat for successful making it through a 58 hour week whilst also dealing with everything else, which of course nobody knew. Goes to show that nobody has any idea what other people are dealing. And when your preparing someone's food just realise that could be there one treat for the week. Which thanks to carelessness got ruined for me. And had a knock on effect for the rest of my weekend. This is what I take daily if your interested. Izzy was great, food was really nice

My husband and I came in for dinner after long day at work. Our visit started rather unpleasantly due to my husband having to wait at the bar to be served as two staff members were just having a chat and a laugh with some customers they appeared to know. The situation was saved by a lovely staff member, Izzy, who was helping out to tidy the tables at the time. She served us our drinks and then some other waiting customers as the other two staff disappeared somewhere. After our ordered food was brought to the table we found that my mash potatoes and other veg were cold and even though I would normally complain watching Izzy busting her chops while some of her colleagues were clearly more interested in socialising rather than working, made me reconsider. Mainly because despite how busy and stressed Izzy appeared she was kind, polite and smiling. Perfect example of brilliant customer service.

My wife and I came for a nice meal and that's what we found. Bit of a hectic Friday, but with staff like Izzy, serving with a smile, we didn't wait long to order drinks and food. Having the mega mixed grill was tasty but ultimately too much and so I'll have to take some of it back home. Thankfully Izzy was able to help me once again getting me a container. I appreciate that despite being rushed off her feet she still made time to make us feel welcome and we will be back.

Good food. Chips are gorgeous, but the rest is standard chain pub food quality. Definitely a nice treat. But over 6 quid for one pint is absolutely outrageous for a pub in stoke. I'm genuinely mortified !! However, the staff are lovely and it's dog friendly.

Been to this pub/ restaurant several times over the last 12mths always been really happy with service & staff definitely good value for money .friends & family who hadn't been before this visit were impressed

We ate lasagna it wasn’t home made & wine is very overpriced

Service was fantastic, food was served quick, it was nice and hot no complaints. One downside is that we were sat by the children play area and the children were screaming my husband had a headache. So we left early

20,4.24 my husband and i went for a meal here tonight,dont know what as gone wrong with the place,we ordered 2 prawn cocktails which were lovely ,sometime after we got our main meals , my husbands was ok he had steak i had pitta bresd kabab meat and garlic sauce, it was cold i waited for someone to come and ask if everything was ok so i could say it was cold, no one came and asked.when the mains were brought my husband asked if he could have a coffee the young lady said she would bring him one he did say no rush.as we were ready to leave i told man behind bar not to bother with coffee as 45 minutes had gone by waiting. after many occasions over the years this is the first time i have had need to complain

Very lovely staff and very safe environment!

The staff are always amazing with my food allergy. I never have to worry about cross contamination and they will always check that everything is safe. Certain staff members remember my allergy when I come in and the table is always wiped just in case.

Staff great food and service was wonderful

It was lovely and quiet, and we could choose where to sit. We had a great table in a bay window with a view of the lake below. The food was good, and piping hot. I had a mixed grill and my partner had gammon, which she ate every last bit. The prices were good, and were reduced thanks to an offer. We’ll be calling again for another midweek meal in the near future.

We made a booking but the pub had so many seats that we were told to pick our own, the children’s area was perfect for our little girl to relax in and the various tables that were sat around it made it easy for us to leave her and be settled at the table. The toilets were perfectly clean and a lovely place to be in, the food came within 30 minutes of ordering and was absolutely beautiful, we had the cow boy burger which was absolutely lovely and the fries were crispy and beautiful. The outside play area was nice and clean and safe and just enough for our 7 year old. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely come again

Second visit and got to say just as pleased as the first . Food and service both amazing . Wish we could visit more often . We will be back .
