Good foodAlthough it was very busy, we didn't have to wait long for the starter to arrive. For the main, we both had Sirloin, which was cooked as we wanted. The service is as always nvery good. Can't wait till our next visit.

We booked for Fathers day very enjoyable and we have alsi got our Christmas booking. We use the venue regulour as we can bring our little dog with us and have a nice relaxing day.

My husband and our friends go out every week and we have recently had a puppy We have taken him with us before but the welcome he received at the horn and trumpet was amazing Blanket, biscuits,water it was a pleasure to spend time there without feeling like outcasts Also the food and service was excellent Thank you to all the team

Very pleasant environment, very attentive young man who showed us to our reserved table, served our meals efficiently ,was really polite.

Been here a few times with no issues however our last experience was not good. A party of 3 ordered food at the same time and 2 of the meals came pretty quickly however, the third meal took longer. After asking staff twice where the meal was we were told the order was missed. Staff were lovely and apologetic and offered drinks as compensation but service was awful.

Good experience overall, just pricey for what it is.

If your planning on going out for food I wouldn't bother with this place..got one member of staff running in and out the kitchen with food and running the bar I was stood for 15 minutes without anyone even noticed I was there....shocking..

Went in with my dog after a 12 hour shift at work looking forward to a pint and a steak. They asked if I want any sauce I picked one with merlot in it being a wine lover. Food came dog food came sat there waiting for my sauce 10 minutes staring at my food going cold went in what's going on where my sauce I paid for? Oh sorry 🙏 we will bring it now another 5 minutes goes buy. I'm hangry by this point 2-3 working days to get my money back!!! Absolute joke! Quick enough take it off me. I will not be visiting again. Thanks for the reply in that case then tell your very lovely girls behind the bar not to up sell the meals, if your busy! . If its that difficult for the chef to get one lone order of steak chips and sauce correct, Normally i would never bother with sauces. I have had an extremely tough week with work and and with the form of chemotherapy I take to prevent my bowel cancer returning. which of course they didn't know. but whether they did of not, it sent me over the edge all of Saturday I didn't leave my house. Not just because of that, that was the nail in the coffin. That lone steak I was very very much looking forward to was my treat for successful making it through a 58 hour week whilst also dealing with everything else, which of course nobody knew. Goes to show that nobody has any idea what other people are dealing. And when your preparing someone's food just realise that could be there one treat for the week. Which thanks to carelessness got ruined for me. And had a knock on effect for the rest of my weekend. This is what I take daily if your interested. My wife and I came for a nice meal and that's what we found. Bit of a hectic Friday, but with staff like Izzy, serving with a smile, we didn't wait long to order drinks and food. Having the mega mixed grill was tasty but ultimately too much and so I'll have to take some of it back home. Thankfully Izzy was able to help me once again getting me a container. I appreciate that despite being rushed off her feet she still made time to make us feel welcome and we will be back.

Good food. Chips are gorgeous, but the rest is standard chain pub food quality. Definitely a nice treat. But over 6 quid for one pint is absolutely outrageous for a pub in stoke. I'm genuinely mortified !! However, the staff are lovely and it's dog friendly.

Been to this pub/ restaurant several times over the last 12mths always been really happy with service & staff definitely good value for money .friends & family who hadn't been before this visit were impressed

Izzy was great, food was really nice

My husband and I came in for dinner after long day at work. Our visit started rather unpleasantly due to my husband having to wait at the bar to be served as two staff members were just having a chat and a laugh with some customers they appeared to know. The situation was saved by a lovely staff member, Izzy, who was helping out to tidy the tables at the time. She served us our drinks and then some other waiting customers as the other two staff disappeared somewhere. After our ordered food was brought to the table we found that my mash potatoes and other veg were cold and even though I would normally complain watching Izzy busting her chops while some of her colleagues were clearly more interested in socialising rather than working, made me reconsider. Mainly because despite how busy and stressed Izzy appeared she was kind, polite and smiling. Perfect example of brilliant customer service.

We ate lasagna it wasn’t home made & wine is very overpriced

Service was fantastic, food was served quick, it was nice and hot no complaints. One downside is that we were sat by the children play area and the children were screaming my husband had a headache. So we left early

20,4.24 my husband and i went for a meal here tonight,dont know what as gone wrong with the place,we ordered 2 prawn cocktails which were lovely ,sometime after we got our main meals , my husbands was ok he had steak i had pitta bresd kabab meat and garlic sauce, it was cold i waited for someone to come and ask if everything was ok so i could say it was cold, no one came and asked.when the mains were brought my husband asked if he could have a coffee the young lady said she would bring him one he did say no rush.as we were ready to leave i told man behind bar not to bother with coffee as 45 minutes had gone by waiting. after many occasions over the years this is the first time i have had need to complain

Very lovely staff and very safe environment!

The staff are always amazing with my food allergy. I never have to worry about cross contamination and they will always check that everything is safe. Certain staff members remember my allergy when I come in and the table is always wiped just in case.

Staff great food and service was wonderful

It was lovely and quiet, and we could choose where to sit. We had a great table in a bay window with a view of the lake below. The food was good, and piping hot. I had a mixed grill and my partner had gammon, which she ate every last bit. The prices were good, and were reduced thanks to an offer. We’ll be calling again for another midweek meal in the near future.

We made a booking but the pub had so many seats that we were told to pick our own, the children’s area was perfect for our little girl to relax in and the various tables that were sat around it made it easy for us to leave her and be settled at the table. The toilets were perfectly clean and a lovely place to be in, the food came within 30 minutes of ordering and was absolutely beautiful, we had the cow boy burger which was absolutely lovely and the fries were crispy and beautiful. The outside play area was nice and clean and safe and just enough for our 7 year old. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely come again

Second visit and got to say just as pleased as the first . Food and service both amazing . Wish we could visit more often . We will be back .

Service very slow. No one behind the bar to serve I picked a glass up off the floor. The staff just kept walking past it. Many tables left uncleared after people had left Not a good impression Won’t be returning any time soon It used to be really good not any more

Lovely place to dine with family. Great choice of gluten free food, not an issue at all. Staff very friendly and polite. Chelsea is a good leader. Only slight issue would be lack of staff on the bar. Definitely will be visiting again.

Very dog friendly, water and biscuits delivered to the table even though they’d been for a swim themselves all in all another lovely lunch out with Chelsea and her staff coordinating the group, the weekend farm event was a success so definitely look out on their Facebook for the next event !

Food and drink are expensive but decent, the atmosphere and staff are great, and the quiz run on Thursday nights is really awesome.

Comfortable with great service. I had the scampi off the lunchtime menu, which I enjoyed. However it was quite a small portion, more child size than lunchtime.

Went here for the first time. Food was excelllent order a chicken burger and my family had mains and sides. Very good quality food. Quick service between 15 and 20 minutes the store manager was amazing. Dylan was his name sorted us out proper good. Very family friendly.

Brad was exceptional and the coffee was fantastic

I came for my sister’s birthday and the staff were really nice and friendly. I would definitely tell my friends to come.

No wonder the place is dead, the food is vile. I got refund. The mash was like dough. U could pick it up we had it made and brought back out twice, still the same. Meat dry and burnt. Egg burnt and rock hard. No taste apart from the burn taste. We went aldi and got a sandwich instead. UPDATE.. we won't be coming bk we tried once before and thought we give u a second chance. Although it wasn't as bad as 1st visit it was still bad, it was still bad. I should of really got a refund for my daughter food but I was angry over the food so we just left. My daughter had 1 bite of burger. All the ate was the corn on the cob

From the minute we arrived we were looked after. Service was great. Catered for all our fussy eaters. Food was superb. We will definitely be returning. Huge thank you to Dylan for looking after us.

Service was quick and friendly however my jacket potatoes was dry as anything.

I had picked the festive menu as my Son was visiting We arrived on time at 1.30 and we're asked if we wanted our starters immediately- we said yes but then waited 20 mins before we received them We also got our own drinks as no one asked us what we would like When the starters arrived -both of us had Pate it arrived very soft - it didn't look like it had been in a fridge to get solid the three small bits of toast were cold and the watercress dressing was wilted We did not eat the pate for fear of having an upset stomach and my Son took his plate to one of the managers and said it was poor and the main meal had better improve However after some discussion my Son and I decided to leave as we considered the service and food would not improve If a Festive Menu is offered then timing and service should be first class -,if the staff cannot cope along side the normal menu then don't offer a Festive menu I and friends will not frequent the Horn and Trumpet again

Enjoyable meal, service was good. I would just like to say that more attention needs to be paid to cleaning the tables properly. I pulled the table closer to me and the sides were very sticky and, clearly, had not been cleaned for some time.

Very good service and good food... Although I felt that the Rock Road Sundae is still again overpriced for what turned out to be some ice cream with ice cream sauce, a bit of squirty cream, 3 mini marshmallows and a flake and the pizzas could do with being bigger for the price charge, and improve the rocky road to deserve its price tag. His knowledge, recommendations and his expertise guided me in finding the perfect meal since we've never visited before. Connor's attention to detail and patience in answering all my questions exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend visiting this pub if you're after a nice place to dine out at! as he is not only a skilled professional, but also a friendly and approachable individual. Also, hats off to Chef Will Pointon who cooked the most beautiful steak!

Good food for a decent price, the staff are always friendly and polite, I can't say much for the atmosphere as we tend to go for lunch when it's quiet.

Love this pub, nice location, comfortable and friendly.
