That restaurant is inside the City, so they mainly offer healthy food for take away for a quick lunch. They have some tables inside, so you can also eat inside. That’s what we did. They have a quick way of ordering food, do it yourself style, and they are very fast delivering the food. That’s very convenient for the City.

Best place for lunch in Liverpool Street! Always long queue during lunch time however, moves really fast. My fav is chicken satay hotbox!

Ordering is never an issue very straight forward. Service is so quick dont need to wait. But its always busy at 1pm so I always order before or after the peak time. I super love the soup. Perfect for London weather.

Discovered HOP Vietnamese while I was at Bond Street so went in to have a look. I was impressed by the colourful decor and modern vibes with the self ordering, it feels like LEON but with Vietnamese fare in terms of the design, the concept of healthy food and the speed. Again, the same story, this is another restaurant founded by a banker/financial analyst bored with their job. I ended up trying the Bond Street restaurant and the one at London Wall. The Bond Street branch is compact but has everything while the London Wall branch features a 50/50 space of dining and self ordering kiosks. My first visit was at the Bond Street branch where I had the peach rice pudding for dessert. To be honest, there is something similar but not like this in Vietnam but I had to have it because it was so English and rice pudding is dying breed in this day and age. Unfortunately, it was too sweet because it had caramel sauce as well as peach sauce. It was supposed to come with peanuts but I changed for coconut. The next day, I visited the London Wall branch for lunch and had the Satay Chicken hop box. It was a balanced meal so you get equal amounts of salad, rice and chicken. However, I was still a little hungry even though I had a side as well because I need my carbs. Anyway, the satay chicken was simply delicious, the sweetness and creaminess was just right and the chicken was tender because it was thigh meat. The pork ribs were ok but on the sweet side so I was glad I did not get the ribs HOP Box. Also had the Naked Broth which was vegetarian, it reminded me of chicken bovril as the taste was yeasty and herby while chickeny even though there is no meat in it. Overall, I was impressed by the food and definitely loved the stylish foil boxes and how the food was laid out. I may come back to try the coconut curry and when they have something new.

Dull, ordinary. Beef curry with beef balls. In Vietnam it's slow cooked tender beef. This was no more Vietnamese than a pork chop is a steak.

Had the spicy pho, decent size pot with alot of soup broth and not much else. It had 2 pieces of chicken and has no business being marketed as spicy. Not authentic nor worth the price, you can hop on by.

Spotted this take away when visiting the tailor in central london. Quick service, not that cheap Food was ok but possibly needed to be hotter and spicier. Had the newbies dish I think and will be more adventurous next time. Great idea though

Very disappointed with my lunch today. I've been going to Hop chains for a few years and have always enjoyed the flavour of the food, but the last few times it seems to be going downhill. Today was the worst, admittedly the chicken has occasionally been a bit dry, but in my noodle salad today, it tasted almost like powder, while the lemongrass sauce was more sticky sweet than lemongrass. This is not what I expect Vietnamese food to taste and that definitely did not taste like real chicken.

The pork meatballs Banh Mi was excellent. Great flavours quite similar to what you actually get in Vietnam. The marinated pork and rice was a bit bland for me... specially if you compare it to the Banh Mi. Anyway it was not a bad dish just a bit bland.

HOP is more of a Subway sandwich joint rather than a Vietnamese one. It’s not very interesting but quick.

This Hop was very busy at lunchtime but I was lucky to find some seating space available, because the Hop caters mainly for those who want their food quickly and go. I ordered the Lemon grass chicken Hot box which was a great choice. However the 3 pcs of chicken sticks were served chilled and I would have preferred them hot from the grill.

For my lunchtime pho fix, I do visit Hop Vietnamese occasionally as it's around the corner to my office and you kind of know what you're getting. Been to a few around the City for my fix of chicken pho and it is beyond average but it does the trick. So you can imagine my disappointment to see that my tub of pho, which usually comes with a separate mini bag of beansprouts, lemon/lime and asian herbs, came all by itself. So obviously I was thinking...where's my toppings at? Turns out the lemon/lime has been kept in the broth, which as a result left a really citrusy bitter aftertaste in the broth, even when I took it straight out. And no beansprouts or herbs given at all. I think condiments and toppings to a pho should be left for the end diner to decide - not Hop Vietnamese.

This Hop is easy to find despite its small size. There is some seating available, though this Hop is primarily catering for those who want their food to go. There’s a good set of options and I can confirm the chicken Banh Mi Baguette is a great choice. Service is super quick, so you shouldn’t have to wait long, even during the lunch rush.

We paid around £30 per head but we also shared starters and it’s expected for the area. The portions were very good and filling too

Went with a couple of friend for din dins. When we first arrived they said we had to wait an hour to be seated, I asked for a booking and after a lil tug of war he agreed to seat us in an hours time. Now, unfortunately I wasn't able to try the pho because I told them I had a coriander intolerance and they absolutely refused to sell me anything with coriander in it. (So be warned, if you wanna take that risk don't say anything 😅...I play with my life so its good). I ended up have the wok friend chicken and prawns noodles, which were okay....a bit basic and a bit dry and definitely not authentic. The spring rolls and calamari were delicious 10/10. I give them that! I tried my friends hot and spicy soup which again was okay but I didn't feel like the food transported me anywhere.
