Small bastion of sanity amongst chain pubs and sport bars. Good selection of craft beers, no blaring TV"s showing sports. You won't get a pint of Fosters in here...

The Hop and Vine serves the best beers for miles around. Great wine too, and the owner Em is a real star. I can't rate it highly enough.

Fabulous beer and wine emporium. Nowhere else nearby can touch it. Family run and cherished by it's regulars. If you're a beer lover you wouldn't go anywhere else.

Its not a pub, more a bar, and deffo not a restaurant. It sells cask keg and bottles of various beers and ciders that you have never heard of. Our selections were lovely. Its busy but friendly, and somehow we found seats at the bar. The staff are jolly, attentative and know about their wares. Its not flashy, in fact vert down to earth, a bit like a bar in the French countryside? So oodles of charisma and because of that we enjoyed the visit. Give it a try.

This is a great spot, the locals are very friendly and I’ve been coming here for three years i’m in most weekends and unlike the last poster have never heard any racist comments and certainly never any anti semitic remarks as I have four mixed race children I would be extremely annoyed. The Bar Staff are easy going and friendly. The beer is constantly changed with a wide variety of wines are available, come and judge for yourself. Dogs are also welcome.

There’s nothing better than enjoying an afternoon or evening at this wonderful local. The staff are tremendously helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Their selection of ever changing British lager, ales, cider, and European wine is always enjoyable. There is nowhere else in town that we would rather spend with our friends or community.

Excellent range of kegs, different each week. Friendly staff, who spend the effort putting on regular events. Cosy atmosphere and definitely worth a visit if craft beer is your passion.

Great selection of ales, good friendly atmosphere

Went here for a couple of drinks with the mrs and in-laws before we went for a meal on the high street. Vast selection of beers, Ales and wines available. Very quiet atmosphere in here, we had a couple sat next to us and could literally hear every word they were saying. Too quiet and touch tight for my personal preference.

First time I have been here. The beers were really good ,really friendly clientel and the owners were so welcoming. Had a really good evening, so good to support a local business.

Great service, environment and staff. A lot of variety of craft beers and they regularly change their menu. A must see if you are in west London!

Visited with friends before heading across the road to Zaza for dinner. Staff were really friendly, sorted a table outside for six of us and super efficient with table service drinks orders. What a treat to have a gem of a place such as this in Ruislip. Oh, and the wine was fab too!

The gent who owns this micro pub is the friendliest person I’ve ever met. He replaced my beer without me asking because I wasn’t fond of it. He checked on us all night and recommended me beers, all of which I loved. Their snack are to die for, nicest pork scratchings going and the chilli nuts are amazing. Couldn’t have spent the evening anywhere nicer. Don’t miss out on coming here

Best bar in Ruislip! Not only do they sell an amazing selection of beers and wine but it’s the heart of this community. Ricky and Emily have made this Ruislip’s only bar that’s worth a visit. Very rare you get such an amazing selection of drinks within a local bar with truly exceptional service!

The small but perfectly formed Hop and Vine has an ever changing menu of craft beers on tap and in bottles. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the beer. I believe they also sell fruit based beverages, but why drink wine when you have such a good selection of beers

The missus and I went to meet friends here. They are locals and highly recommend it It's not difficult to see why. The bar has a good selection of ales, mostly local I think, but don't quote me on that. The service is friendly: drinks ordered where we were seated and brought to the table. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. The customers were a mixed bag but very friendly and relaxed.

A lovely place, great selection of drinks, fab ambience, great to hang out with friends and have a chat. Very relaxed. Does get a bit cramped when there are too many punters, last night it was just right to hang out with good friends!!

First visit to Ruislip and it’s full of restaurants or gastropubs. This is a nice independent bar with great independent beers, including some from my locals in Yorkshire. The owner is knowledgeable and approachable. Most of these places cant compete with supermarkets (there’s a Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco within walking distance) and struggle when good local breweries get so successful that they don’t care about small retailers. Enjoyed an excellent IPA and Dark Mild and will take home a local American IPA to enjoy another time. Support your local. You’ll miss it when it’s gone!

Friendly staff, good nuts to go with drinks- funny but actually this is serious stuff. The beer garden is lovely too, obviously if the weather is good. My new local.

I have visited a number of times and always find it a very welcoming place. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable on the craft beers and there is a great selection. The sunny beer terrace at the back is lovely.

Going to the Hop and Vine is more like going to have a drink at a friend's place than going 'out out'. The owners run the bar, so they know all about the drinks they sell and go out of their way to make guests welcome. It is a great place to go to chat to your friends, relax and enjoy a craft beer or speciality gin that you've never tried before. Wear your jeans and don't worry about what people think - this place is a home from home.

This fine establishment continues to evolve and is now attracting a very diverse crowd all joined by their shared love of great drinks and wonderful ambience. Love the place!

Great drinks and super super service

I'd given up thinking about going out for a beer in my frequent visits to Ruislip until I noticed this micropub. Friendly staff and up to 6 cask ales priced around £4.40/pint. I recommend drinking several halves of the range! Water and glasses on each table is a nice touch. This really is an oasis in a beer desert.

Great cheese board and very friendly and efficient staff

It's not a Pub or a Wine Bar so it's a Beer Bar really. Great selection of Beers, always chalked up on the board and knowledgable Staff will let you taste and guide you to what you like. There is wine and Gin and tonic as well as a few other non beers drinks. Can get loud as there are solid surfaces all over but very friendly and something different to most other places. Would definately recommend.

My first and last visit here, arrived at 10.15 on a Saturday night having eaten at nearby Tapas. Placed drinks orders and 5 mins later were being asked to drink up. They then proceeded to turn 3 groups away saying they were closed although sign states 11pm closing and this was before 10.30! Lady in there was very cold and full of her own importance no customer skills at all. Other people arriving were all from the tapas too. The beer was nice and that is it. Wine Not cheap by any stretch and no ambience or atmosphere. It has been going for 2 years and surprised it has survived given the experience of tonight. We will never be returning.

Was down in London for the Rugby League Challenge Cup final at Wembley and staying in Ruislip for the weekend. Ruislip is not overburdened with great places to go for a drink, but there is now one exception. The Hop and Vine is a little gem on the High Street. A good selection of beers from across the country, everyone I had was kept on excellent form and delivered.

Nice little spot on Ruislip High St, just went in for one drink, and got a good impression! Nice atmosphere and owner (?) was very friendly! Don't do food but have a meat board and a cheese board, what more could you want!

Our favourite local beer bar, bar none. Always a friendly welcome from Ricky and Em, always something interesting to sample from the "cellar" - or a bottle or a can if you don't fancy the gravity fed draft. A local gem.

When on the lookout for a drinking hole, my colleague and I stumbled across The Hop and Vine on the main drag in Ruislip.

Quite simply the best bar in town. Such a great place, fab selection of beers and ciders. Friendly and warm welcome, which made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend.
