Shocking delivery times ! I wouldn’t have ordered if it was going to be that late of a delivery time ! Food was stone cold ! I do expect some refund too ! ASAP !

Usually these arrive hot and intact. Unfortunately this time the gravy was spilt and the chips were cool. Unusual as i said, but a shame.

with the traffic in Exeter the food arrived a little later than the app said it would but it was still hot and delicious. defo recommended

My order was completely wrong, I received wrong items,. I've opened the packet and found that al was wrong and binned it as there wS no direct number to call, so I've binned the whole things

wasn't happy all the boxes was soaky and wasn't worth the money and the delivery person was on a push bus which didn't help with the order will not order from there again

Driver struggled to find my house

We on an average order never have a issue with this chippy But on this occasion the sausages were dry No salt and vinegar put on after we asked them to Not their best

Honestly, the best battered cod I've had for a very long time. This place is run by a chap who knows his craft and is looking for perfection. Tea was good too. Kudos. 5 years later... Still just as good 👌🏻

Best Fish & Chips I have eaten in the UK!.

After a long day of traveling Hook Fish & Chips hit the spot. My husband and I shared a large fried Cod and chips. It came with a tarter sauce that my husband said was very good. I used the lemon slice and vinegar and was impressed with the flaky fish and crispy yet fluffy chips. A recommended stop when in Exeter

Chips were undercooked and the cheese on the just tasted of tasteless rubber and didn’t resemble cheese at all and the curry sauce was only fill up half way but the chicken burger was really nice. Definitely much better chippies in exeter!

Top fish shop with amazing and friendly staff + manager. Food is always amazing and would highly suggest anybody to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered a takeaway on Sunday. The food was very bad and cold. The customer service was very poor, especially a person wearing glasses who looked European he treated me in a racist and bad way when I spoke to him in order to get my money back. I do not advise anyone to try this unhealthy place.

Haddock and Plaice all beautifully cooked with a crispy light batter. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will certainly order again.

Overall the food was good here the only thing that let them down was the fish had freezer taste to it and it is just a little bit pricey.

Great fish and chip shop in the centre of Exeter. Clean, efficient and welcoming - the Haddock that I had was spot on and the Grandson’s choice of Cod was as good.

The battered sausage wasn’t to great but the rest was pretty good, like the chips and gravy, the onion rings come in multiple different sizes but are very good.

bit miffed only 1 pickled onion as it does say "onions" so feel £1 bit pricey for 1 onion. otherwise no problems with ordering or delivering and food always hot and tasty.

Really tasty, good quality food, which arrived prompt and hot. Recommend if visiting the area..

The cheesy chips are flavourless and soggy! I don’t rate the chips at all but the chicken burger was really good!

Courier did deliver but left it in the porch doorway. I didn’t know it was there so it is now cold. Should have alerted me I was in but he I didn’t notice him.

First time trying here and the food was delicious. Cheesy chips had a decent amount of cheese on and everyone enjoyed the food. Will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

Absolutely appalling, the food was sat on my doorstep, the doorbell was not rung and the door was not knocked on, I only found the food cold on the doorstep when I took my dog for a walk. I am absolutely disgusted with this service, what will be done about this????

Had double cheeseburger and chips x2 me and my son missus had small fish and chips I've eaten here a couple of times burgers were chewy and tasted horrible my missus said the fish was bland won't go back their again really didn't want to post this but just being honest service is always fantastic but not the food this time

Probably the best fish and chips in Exeter. The service is always spectacularly fast and good, and every meal I've had from Hook's has been brilliant. I also think they're very reasonably priced too.

The only problem with the delivery was that the rider ignored the instructions I gave, and went into the university grounds opposite. He said the sat nav sent him there but our building has its own postcode and it's clearly not part of the university, it's a block of residential flats.

I don't know if it was because it was a girl but the delivery was faster than the male drivers that's more like a delivery the food is still hot and tastier compared to the other deliveries

Great fish and chips. We order takeout a couple of times a month and it’s always delicious. They give a little bit of tartar sauce and a slice of lemon which is a lovely addition.
