Delicious fast and authentic. Comforting, rich and memorable. Excellent service!! Chicken noodle soup, dumplings, prawn and rice noodle hot pot and a big pile of steamed green beans. Lemon tea. Freakin delicious. Kids loved it. No frills - and all the better for it.

The first meal of Chinese food to eat, the service attitude is very good, the food is served quickly, the overall feeling is very good, and I will come again next time

I stumbled upon this place as it was torrential rain and couldn't bear to be soaked. I was actually heading towards three uncles for my 2 roast meat fix. Thought I'd give this a try. It was cheaper and looked authentic with the hanging chicken, duck, and pork belly at the window. As it was takeaway..service good. Atmosphere...standing by doorway looking at drenched passerby. Can't blame the restaurant for the view. Back to the food.. I ordered roast duck and char sui and rice. Duck was meaty, char sui was small and OK. Ordered chicken and pork belly... chicken was a bit bony and small, and the pork belly seemed to have a layer missing. It's quite thin and disappointing. The rice was the worst..plastic and chewy. They could invest a bit more on the rice as it makes the difference between a good or bad meal. A good sack of 10kg jasmine rice is not that much more expensive, maybe £5-£8 more. Pros- duck and char sui was good. There is no need to pay extra for soy sauce and ginger spring onion ( for the chicken) Cons- Rice rice chewy rice, the more I chew the more not nice. Skinny pork belly Skinny chicken I wish the rice was better. 😞

A hidden gem for affordable but authentic Chinese food. Servings are large and will definitely fill you up.

I didn’t enjoy the food at all. I ordered chicken chow mien. Too oily, no flavours, minimal ingredients, chicken was so less. Not coming here again. Served in cheap plastic plates.

The food portions are definitely worth the price and very tasty! I loved the fast pace service and the kindness of the hosts. Definitely would recommend the fresh ice lemon tea instead of the bottled one! It was delicious and refreshing!! I would love to come again

Their food is disgusting. I feel like I was eating plastic. And the food is not fresh, which makes it taste more disgusting. Another strange thing is they ask for service charge as soon as customers have ordered food. Never see any restaurants ask for service charge before customers see their food.

The one star is on the staff. Went couple of times already and the service level drops. The attitude of the staff at the cashiers was awful. I stood in front of two staff at the cashier waiting long time for ordering, they just keep chatting to each other ignoring the customer been wait for a while until I was being serviced. The staff employed previously was way better, those now - NO

Cannot understand all the negative reviews. Came here with colleague for a quick lunch and it was fantastic. Great portion sizes, great prices and great taste. I will definitely be coming back. One of the hidden gems of bishopsgate!

This is more for a quick bite after the pub. I had the traditional dish, duck, roast pork, barbecue pork on a bed of rice. Taste was bland more like plastic. Maybe being served on a plastic biodegradable plate doesn't help. My wife ordered chicken on rice, which they forgot. I had already finished my dinner before they realised. They then said they didn't have any chicken left 😤. She had barbecue pork on rice instead. Very disappointing. We also had a plastic plate of green beans, not good 😐 We ate at 9pm on a Thursday evening. Green tea served in a paper cup 🙄. Only come here if you can't make it to Chinatown for a more authentic experience and better quality food. We wanted to give it a try, but I wouldn't come here again. The pictures look better than the taste! 😞🫢

HK Chaa Chan Teng feel ! HK style milk tea was the right balance of strong fragrant tea & milk. We tried beef rice noodle which was properly stirfried & the tender char sui scrambled egg rice was tasty especially with their homemade chili sauce. A nice authentic taste of Home Kong ;)

I heard the clerk say that this restaurant seems to be in the same place as the Japanese restaurant next door, and they share the same toilet. There is a charge for internal use, but I personally think it is acceptable. The indoor space is a bit narrow but the seats are comfortable. The store clerk is very friendly and it is a pre-meal checkout type. I ordered the radish and beef brisket noodle soup, which was a big portion. The taste was a bit too strong for me. The noodles were classic Hong Kong-style noodles and the meat was generous!

If you want authentic Hong Kong style cuisine, this is NOT the place to go. It is more Hong Kong inspired mainland Chinese food. Plus, the cashier was so mean I was so shocked about her attitude. I ordered a half roasted duck take away, and it was dreadful. It is one of the worst places you could pick around this area. It’s a big no no for me. Such a stark contrast from the service and food quality of 雲貴川 which is literally minutes away.

The side dishes are very rich in flavor, it is recommended to try the sweet and sour pork and tofu hot pot 👍

The dry-fried beef noodles are top-notch. The beef and noodles are tender and delicious. You will come back to find the flavor after eating them.

Just don’t go. This is definitely not authentic Hong Kong food. Tasteless, overpriced at the same time! Siu Mai is just starch paste with no meat. I should have read the review before popping in. Really disappointed.

Went in today to see if I could grab some lunch. Asked the staff if it's OK for me to sit, they agreed....but as I was looking at the menu, the staff decided to inform me that they were closed. Why seat someone and then go on a tangent ?! All that was needed was to say sorry we're closed. I walked out, refuse to give my business and attention to rude and ignorant people. Avoid id say.

I ordered satay beef instant noodle and the instant noodle was undercook (still hard inside). My wife ordered brisket noodle. The taste was right but the brisket was under cook and very chewy. Furthermore, I thought the price was value added tax included like all other places in the area but was charged more than I expected and I assumed it must add the tax on it like in New York.

A hidden gem I can’t rate it high enough. The 2 meat and rice combo is as good as it gets! You will not be disappointed

Was craving chasiew and some shrimp fried rice! If you’re anywhere near Liverpool Street do try this authentic hongkong flavours and must order the shrimp fried rice and silky egg with barbecue pork rice! Singapore rice noodles was a no no. Dimsum was ok.

Satay beef with soup noodle is not easiest to find in London so having that on the menu is a massive bonus. Iced milk tea is a highlight as well, the level of sweetness is spot on. All in all very authentic.

I don't know what the other reviews are about, but personally myself and my two friends got food here last night (chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and singaporean noodles) and it was delicious!! Very generous portions, and such amazing food!

One of the worst tasting Chinese food meals I’ve had in some time. The duck was tough and bland. The braised pork belly clay pot was nothing like the real dish. Many much better Chinese restaurants nearby

I ordered a satay beef noodle. Can't believe they use instant noodles as ingredients. Beef is also like precooked canned meat. Service us not good. Won't be there again

Hugely disappointed. Went for a second meal at Slim Chicken afterwards. The standard in nearby eateries have gone up a lot in recent year. Repeat business is unlikely at this joint as the food quality is subpar. Far from Hong Kong taste.

I was shocked when I opened my takeout order – the portions were incredibly small! When I called to place the order, they recommended the white-cut chicken and said nothing about an extra charge for ginger and scallion sauce. This is unbelievable. They should rename it "boiled chicken" on their menu because this restaurant clearly doesn't understand Chinese cuisine. I won't be returning.

The roast duck didnot has crispy skin snd no aroma, sauce was blend. The Char Siu was hard, chewy. Menu was so limited , price expensive, seating very limited.

Just opened so still sorting some things out but a good addition to the roast meat and rice world
