Excellent quality food, generous portions. House special fried rice is a meal on itself, would definitely recommend.

Good food at sensible prices and the staff are helpful. Cash only but I was able to pay by bank transfer which really helped me out.

We normally get set menu B (excellent) and an extra dish. Sweet and sour chicken is my favourite! Delicious. I just wish they had a card machine.

Very poor. Chow mein inedible (dangerously oversalted) and other dishes of poor to mediocre quality at best. Despite the convenience would think particularly hard about ordering from here again. Disappointed doesn't come close..

We used to use this place on a weekly basis. Unfortunately it’s gone really down hill since it changed hands. The Special Chow Mein has no flavour and I have had a few suspect tasting bits of pork in my curry.

Very quick service but still cash only! Combination of chinese food and fish & chips is good for keeping everyone happy!

Really like this place. Food is usually very good and the staff here always seem nice. I am a big fan of their curry sauce, it’s very tasty! They have a great range of meals to choose from I usually go for a special curry or a chicken chow mein with crispy seaweed, egg fried rice and prawn crackers.

It was so bad I wanted to give you a zero but, that's not possible..... so I give you a 1. We've ordered twice from here now. First time we had raw fish with soggy batter. Not from the oil, it was the actually batter mix. We left it a few months and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered tonight. We bought a 'plain' beef burger, a plain jumbo sausage and a large chips to share. The pictures speak for themselves.... unless I'm mistaken that's lettuce and not a burger, a small battered sausage and a small chips. Will not even phone to complain as its not worth the hassle.

Always great food. Last visit very busy and a bit chaotic. Food amazing, other customers are not! Big sign on door says FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN - nobody bothering! Also says MAX 2 people in shop. Was at least five non mask wearing customers in there while I was in the Queue. Eeeeeuuuuwwwwww. Shame becuase this is the best chinese for miles, especially for veggies. Please enforce your 'rules'.

As a lifelong villager, I have to say Hong Kong Chef has the best Chinese food around!! Lee and Ben are absolutely lovely and can’t do enough for you. The food is next to none and the curry sauce is incredible!! I’ve never been disappointed whenever I’ve come here. Keep up the good work. ☺️

Their vegetarian dishes are second to none, both in variety and flavour. The black bean tofu with green peppers is heavenly good. The only downside for me is that they still only take cash.

Not great. Usually avoid this place as so many previous bad experiences but thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. 3 out of 10 at best. Chips are slimy and not cooked long enough, battered sausages were given to the dog. Picture was one of 6 chips similar - I think its a potato eye but is hairy!!!!!

Delicious and generous portions, it is perfect for those who enjoy Asian food. They serve some British dishes as well.

Been going down hill for months but I thought I would give it another chance sadly it was still awful the special fried rice didn't have very much meat init and was full of sliced fat which I presume was meant to be the pork

We ordered the set menu for 4 for my Dad’s 87th birthday. Ready on time and there were a couple of fortune cookies for my Dad, a really nice touch! The food was still hot by the time we got to theirs in Kingswood. A really nice selection of dishes, from standard fayre such as Sweet and Sour chicken balls and Chop Suey to a really lovely beef and mushroom in an Oyster sauce. Special fried rice was full of tasty treats and worked really well with the beef. Everything was delicious and very moorish, Dad was over the moon! Going back today for Mums 86th! Definitely now my favourite Chinese takeaway in the area!

the 2 girls serving was pig ignorant.the food was ok but only warmed you should make sure when selling to the public the food should be hot.

Excellent food with an extensive authentic menu, as well as some takeaway classics (fish and chips curry sauce ect). Fast service with good covid precautions, just be sure to phone ahead with your order and they only take cash.

Missing part of my fish! Not good!!

The only thing I buy in here now is chips as the chow mein and alot of the other dishes have gone downhill.maybe down to a change in oil or something like that. I have just bought two bags of chips which are normally very nice and they were disgusting and tasted of oil probably redone from the dinnertime session. Had two chips could not eat them straight in the bin!

Pretty decent chinese food, wide range menu, very quick to cook, popular restuarant, take away only, limited parking space.

Both the Chinese and the fish and chips were a struggle to finish. We threw most of it away and I will usually eat anything.

Amazing Chinese. Fantastic for Vegetarians too. Cash only! There is a cash point about 100ft down the road at the garage so no real issue.

Had traditional fish and chips here and it was very good, I don't normally like chips from a Chinese restraunt but these were gooduns, also the curry sauce was fantastic.
