Did not receive food after spending £50 then restaurant shut and refused to take responsibility, do not order from this restaurant

Food is always good and plentiful. Hot and sour soup a bit gloopy for me as I’m not a fan of too much cornflour thickening as is the usual at these type of takeaways but really tasty and good mix of meats. Over time we have had really good food and the service is amazing. This time it was 10 minutes between order and collection. I would recommend some of the mixed sides as these are really tasty and great value.

Well, we have used Hong Hu for some years, the food is always good, but the service has been going down hill. We wouldn’t mind if we were told it would take an hour for the food to reach us, as we could decide if we wanted to wait or not, sadly we are often promised a delivery that then takes twice as long to arrive. Today, after waiting over 60 mins, I called to check where the order was, firstly I was told 10-15 more minutes as its still cooking, when I said ok, cancel the order, I was told the delivery was already out, delayed as the driver was late? If you are going to tell a story, keep it consistent. Sadly we well not be giving Hong Hu another chance, they have had many, but fail to deliver, and really do not seem to care about the customer. Such a pity, as the food is good. Dissapointed Customers in Horwich

having positive experiences with Hong Hu .my two friends and I ,ordered for delivery from the new menu. I ordered from the Ok Dishes section. Which states deep fried in batter as the heading and lists a choice of beef, chicken , prawn ,and pork .so I ordered pork and some chips to go with it we quoted the numbers on the menu. My friends chose crispy beef with egg fried rice and chow mien with three different meats in it . When the order was delivered .there was no receipt so at first hand ,couldn’t confirm what we had ordered we had reckoned the cost and the girl we spoke to confirmed that ,so we gave the delivery man that amount along with delivery cost and a tip on dishing mine out ,I soon realised I had been given king prawn in batter which I loathe. My friend with the chow mien found there was no meat in her noodles. I rang the shop and was told they don’t do pork in batter.when I explained that there ok menu was misleading sh e said sorry .i asked to be delivered something in its place but she said I would have to pay again which I found unreasonable as it was their mistake. I got nowhere and she insisted my friend who placed the order said prawn which we all knew was untrue as we heard her. Very disappointing. The friend with the chow mien was so disappointed she went to the shop and showed how there was no meat in the dish .the girl found the receipt and said she had ordered and been charged just for soft noodles. She fought her corner and said we had given the delivery man the money for the more expensive chow Mien. The shop was full of customers and it was embarrassing but in the end they said they didn’t want her to be disappointed so they gave her the right dish she had ordered . I though, am still disappointed . I think part of the problem was the poor communication .i expected more from you Hong Hu and won’t be using you again

Never really cared for Chinese food but on receiving s takeaway leaflet the choice looked amazing.We opted for Lucky Box A with additional mushrooms. It came to £17. Unfortunately they don't take card payments and I was about 50pence short in my cash. The lovely lady let me off what I was short of which was very kind.We waited about 6 minutes only.Well what a feast we had plus free prawn crackers.There was so much left that we had more than enough for tea the next day.Will definitely go again

Mongolian style chicken/beef are amazing!! One of the nicest Chinese dishes I’ve ever had. Food just seems fresh and not greasy in the slightest, light on the stomach and delivery is usually around the time they say. Gone better recently than earlier this year.

I should have realised it was a bad idea to order a take away when the lady who answered the phone was rude and abrupt.We usually ordera few appitisers well that was another bad thing because most of them were unavailable which I thought was bad for a Saturday night. When the food arrived it was in boxes which meant most of them were lukewarm.The only things that was hot was 2 chicken dishes that were in plastic continers.We ended up throwing quite alot of food away because we didn't what to chance being ill the next day.Also one dish was missing.Don't think we will be ordering from here again.Very disappionted.

Been here a few times now and the food and service are outstanding. Food is tasty and always served hot if they say it’s will be ready in 20 minutes it’s ready when you arrive no hanging around especially good in these Covid19 times. My favourite dish has to be the Mongolian Chicken such a tasty dish.

our takeaway driver never had any change on him, we had to pass him food back and tell him we dont want it if you dont have our change..... he soon jumped in car and went to shop to get some change.. should come prepared!! food was good though

Never tried Hong Hu before but after reading loads of positive comments on Facebook we thought we’d give it a try. We ordered one of their box specials, when it arrived it just didn’t look right. Everything was freezing, not too much of a problem until we tasted the food. The food was stale and tasted days old, it was absolutely disgusting. It was that bad that the vast majority went straight in the bin as we were worried it was make us sick. We’ve never had to throw a takeaway in the bin before and it’s really annoying after you’ve handed hard earned money over. You live and learn but never again.

We came over to Bolton form York as we were visiting relatives. We decided to have a chines for our supper and I can honestly say it was the best we have had in ages. We had chicken Satay, chicken in batter in sweet and Sour sauce and a beef curry. We will be back again. Thank you.

I think the ribs once belonged to a toad, the chicken felt like cotton wool balls in my mouth, curry sauce tasted more like mayo and literally not one shred of chilli to be seen (salt and pepper ribs, chicken and chips).We waited 2 hours for this delivery and never been as disappointed in my life.

Rang order at 17:06, arrived at 19:31 despite 3 chase phone calls, when arrived was stone cold, as expected after my initial chase call at 18:45, lacking in customer service, food not really edible due to the temperature. Won't use again, will use the other opti9ns locally

Probably one of the worst takeaways ive ever had most of it went straight in wheelie bin avoid its dreadful

Last month after a trip to Blackpool we ordered a takeaway for collection. Thanks to Northern Rail we were late and consequently the food was not that good, but we decided to try again and have it delivered. We were not disappointed. A meal for three persons was delivered within 30 mins and was top quality and delicious.. Authentic Cinese Thai etc all reasonably priced. See you later aligator !!!!!!!

This place used to be a restaurant but now just does takeaway, and possibly the finest Chinese I've had. Very varied menu and very reasonable prices too. Their Special Curry is to die for, along with the noodles/beansprouts. Try out the curry samosas too. Outstanding!

Fantastic food always tastes fresh and plenty of it. Reasonable prices. Can’t fault any of the many meals we have had.
