Lots of food varieties to select from .Good for family outing.

Quick easy and large seating area. It's buffet style so not top tier but great for a family and it's all you can eat. Enjoyable and simple. The downstairs foyer could do with a spruce as it's a bit uncared for and the red rug just needs to be replaced. Staff were helpful and they cleaned regularly.

If you want good hospitality or good service then DO NOT EAT HERE. We came today at 8.15pm as a family to eat this buffet. We have been to many restaurants all over the UK & this is the worst experience we have got!!! The lady at the front said that the buffet gets clean at 9.30pm so take the food before that. We were happy with that but since 8.45pm 3 different workers came to our table to tell us about the same thing which made us think we were not welcome and that they are rushing us to get up and go home. Also around 8.55pm, the staff were picking up the food and cleaning around the buffet counters which is understandable to keep the area clean and hygienic but it’s not professional when customers are there trying to put the food in. - For HALAL customers, the dishes are not labelled correctly and dishes are in different places in the buffet table. We asked one of the workers about some desserts if they were halal or not and she said they are all halal, but another one came to say that these ones are not halal so avoid these ones. As a customer, It is better to avoid than take any risks. Overall food taste was okay but really disappointing with how they treated as customers. - We provided our experience to the store manager to help make experiences for customers more welcoming.

Delicious food choices of Japanese Thai Chinese and Indian food. It is very spacious and nice and clean inside the restaurant. Would go again.

Love this place, if anything there's to much choice, the food is fresh and hot, it's clean and the staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced, you definitely get your moneys worth, can't wait to go back.

The selection is very good, so was the taste. Not very busy for a Saturday lunch but price could be the reason. £24 / person in my opinion is a bit more as after all it was a buffet and one can only eat so much. I tried 5-6 meat dishes and liked them all. I would definitely try again in the future.

Nicely decorated ,we had what they called shreaded duck ,but it was more like shreaded pork which is often substituted to keep down costs

It's OK. Some reason the food doesn't taste fresh and it's like leftover food that's been cooked again for another dish.

Arrived at 5pm lots of fresh cooked food to choose from, staff where helpful and quick to clear away used plates, glasses and cutlery.

I went for the lunch buffet for £13, great value, lots of food to choose from. I like the most is beef are cooked in many waysm especially the Chinese style, it's very delicious, and the desserts, especially the many kind of fruits, have a lot to choose from. The service was very good. I definitely have to go back.

Nice place to have family and friends especially for a free meal when it's your birthday! Could do more and the front ground floor. Food looks good but family felt a lot of salt was added for a lot of flood. They could but a strap paper for entry and like a golden one for birthday single person like the dragon! Toilet needed maintenance too.

You can't dislike this place, everything is 10 over 10. Better than most Chinese restaurants I've been in the UK.

Lovely variety of food for all pallets. From Chinese and Indian to sushi, steaks, and pizzas this restaurant has it all. And after all the savory food there is a great selection of puddings of fruit, cakes, sweets, ice cream, and a chocolate fountain. Did I mention that drinks are included in the price!! I fell this place has an endless seating area too! I will be back.

Beautiful restaurant, and the food is delightful

My husband took me to Hong Buffet for my birthday dinner. The receptionist was very friendly. We paid £22 each, were walked and shown to our table. They have a serene environment, great ambience and the food tasted so nice. There is a stairway option or you could use the lift. It is a buffet so you can eat all you want but cannot take away. We had special fried rice, black chili pepper beef, crispy chicken, honey-dipped chicken, fried shrimps, potato wedges, sauced duck, prawns, baas fish. They were all very tasty and it came with drinks. We had tropical, watermelon juice and had a taste of the slushi. The staff gave me a special birthday song accompanied with a nice chocolate cake. I enjoyed my evening and it was my best birthday experience. Thank you Hong Buffet for making my birthday a great one. I will definitely revisit with my friends. I highly recommend Hong Buffet.

The sitting arrangement does not promote exclusivity and intimacy needed for such settings. Appears short-staffed cos you have same staff cleaning tables, mopping the floor and washing dishes. Guess that's how they function in the UK, but not healthy and could pass as modern slavery.

An all you can eat buffet with a huge choice of food. Chinese, Indian and Italian food all covered. Soft drinks included within the price, can also request hot drinks like tea and coffee. Took my family, wife ate for free as it was her birthday. the dinner menu is a bigger selection than the lunch menu but this is reflected in the price. food of very good quality but not a fan of the grill as lamb was too chewy to eat comfortably. my favourite dish was chicken Tikka masala. my children loved the chocolate fountain. my wife preferred the seafood. appears to have something for everyone

The food is great quality. I went for the dinner which was about 20ish per person I loved the variety and could barely finish my meals so I paced myself. There are free soft drinks available which is really good. Saves you having to pay for drinks while eating. I was visiting Luton for the day but I will go back again as I enjoyed the food.

Lovely designed restaurant. Very open making it easy to get around even when busy. Food is nice, big selection, better in the evenings for sure. Worth the price too as pudding and drinks are included. I've been a few times now and it won't be the last.

What happened to this place? This was the only good place in the town, but it looks like it's also going down. I have been here many times but this was the last time. Went their for lunch at 1.30. Upon arrival, I was told the buffet would close at 2.40. Okay, fair enough. Started to eat. At 2.00 the staff started to announce that the lunch would be closed in half an hour. This mad eme a bit angry. Still, it's fine. It makes sense. At 1.30 some of the dishes were emplty but by 2.00 almost all dieshes got empty. When I went to dessert corner around 2.15, they were already cleaning up the chocolate fountain. The server committed that noodles would be served again, but those noodles never came. As I was leaving at 2.40, I couldn't understand why they blocked the stairs. I just went close to the sign, and the cleaner guy angrily scolded me and my guests that we can't see the sign he is cleaning. I came home with frustration as my experience has never been so bad at Hong Buffet. Rude staff, empty dishes, and closing buffet earlier than given time. If you don't want to be scolded and come home empty stomach, then don't go to Hong Buffet. No wonder it's not as busy as it used to be.

This is the ONLY thing worth coming to Luton for! The buffet is huge and has ample space to dine. Surprisingly like reasonable for the food and drinks are included!! If they keep the service, price and food the same, this place will have a long life and repeated business! There is so much choice even for lunch and dinner has even more.

All you can eat buffet in the middle of Luton. I could call it Chinese but its size means it includes a wide selection to suit most tastes including curry, sushi, cake, ice cream and soft drinks. Try it, especially if you are really hungry!

Amazing place to eat with loved ones

We went to Hongs a few Months ago and our experience was the worst we ever had. We used to go at least 2 to 3 times a year, not anymore. We went around 2pm. They charged us but noticed that half the food was missing. We continued getting the food that was left available. Around 2.45pm a waiter came to us while we just started eating our dessert and told us they were due to close and we had to start leaving. I was not happy as not only was there half the food available, but then get told to leave whilst eating our desert. We refused to go as we had already paid for the buffet. A short Asian guy came over and ordered us to start leaving. My wife decided to put the remaining dessert in a napkin and put in her bag. The Asian guy told we can not take food home. I angrily asked, so you rather throw the food away than let the customer take it to which he answered YES. I was appalled. My refused to take the food out and the Asian guy tried to pull the bag from my wife's hands and pulled her hand at the same time. I angrily said, don't ever touch my wife. We gave the food back but that was out of order. This guy has no public experience and should never be allowed to be near the public. He was quite happy to manhandle a lady. I am only writing this review because I read someone asked about HONGS BUFFET. Well be very prepared to be manhandled by a shot Asian guy. This is poor management. Once the FOOD is in a Customers plate, they should have the right to be able to take it home if they are asked to leave because they are closing. I am not saying all staff are bad but clearly HONGS have their priorities wrong. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR SERVICE. BEWARE CUSTOMERS.

Made reservation online, we came and been told that the price has gone up due to mother's day. Asked for manager and he said that they do this every year. We've shown that it doesn't say anywhere on their website that the price have increased for mothers day. After good 20mins of explaining to him that we booked online at a lower price and him telling us that we should of called to check it ( even though website should be updated and why would we call in if we could clearly see prices on the site ) Manager said that IT side must of not updated it and that he can't do anything about it. We were not at fault as we went with what we could see on their website ( showed him as a proof that it doesn't state anywhere that there's price increase) we still had to pay over extra £30 to get in We'll be contacting head office as we got customer rights to get the goods at the price shown. There's a time limit now and less choices of foods.

Me and my family attended this Restaurant on Sunday, the 3rd of March 2024. We had a lovely time. The food and the quantity of food was excellent The staff very accommodating. We did not feel rushed in any way shape or form. I highly recommend this establishment, and I look forward to visiting here again soon.

We visited for lunch as we had tried a similar restaurant Wings, on our trip to Hull and wanted a comparison. The lunchtime menu is a fair bit smaller than the night time one but this is well advertised but the price is far lower so not a problem. Most of our food was really hot but unfortunately not the pizza. This may have been because we visited towards the end of service but this is why I dropped a star for food. The food itself was in the main really tasty and we definitely had our money's worth from the meal. When we next visit we will be sure to arrive earlier. Definitely worth the money though.

There is plenty of choice, and the quality is reasonable. However, the restaurant feels 'tired' and needs a good facelift. I felt the price was a little high and the parking is impossible!

We waited about 1 hour in the queue. When we got to the pay section they charged us more because our child was over 150 cm. Which is an act of hight discrimination. The food was alright the noodles tasted like rubber and the slushy wasn't rlly a slushy all the ice melted before we got to the table. There was wee on the floor of the toilets. The chocolate fountain was like a chocolate puddle and the marshmallows were really rubbery. When we waited in line they asked people to go infront of us because they had less people and there was no tables for 6. The people at the desks were very rude . We also offered to split tables but they refused every time WOULD NOT RECOMMENED !!!!!!!!!

Quite a nice place to go and have dinner and it's not super expensive. Food selection is good too. Update: 27/02/2024 has anyone else got food poisoning from Tuesday promo 2for1? We've been going to Hong at least some 5-8 times a year and never had food poisoning, but most likely they didn't have enough time to cook the food properly due to the amount of people that came. I barely reached home and started projectile vomiting throughout the night. Most likely our last time visiting what was a great place. Not going to post pictures of the vomit.

Visited Hongs for the first time just as they were closing. They said we are welcome to come in and eat but be aware they are closing so they wouldn't be bringing out anything new and the fresh counter was closed. We decided to go for it and we were still pleasantly surprised of the great quality even with it being end of the day. Food and drinks (non alcoholic) were included along with desserts. We have to go back and experience the full service but I am very much looking forward to it.

Typical buffet, good food I went with my partner and my sister and her partner and their daughter, and it was a good evening. Staff are friendly, helpful too.

Was greeted at the door by staff who then sat us but made us get up and pay before even getting food we thought that was normal however 5 other groups of people came in after us and was allowed to go straight up and get food without having to pay till after all the staff was giving me and my partner dirty looks and talking about us behind our backs, i feel disrespected and embarrassed to even have come here, to be singled out and asked to pay first was a disgrace, i do not know wether my partner is a female and im a female however we will NOT EVER BE COMING BACK HERE, these people are homophobic and they have lost a customer here sorry first time and lasy time

We went there with my family, and the food was really good. It had loads of selections, I definitely recommend and we probably will visit it again.

I was with a child for the first time, but it was terrible. My daughter took some candy, but she couldn't finish it, so she took some with her and put them in her jacket pocket. Then the waiter came to us and told her to put all her candies out of her pocket. Before going home, a security guard stopped her and asked if she had anything in her bag. I think he shouldn't have done that because she's only 10 years old. I explained to the staff that these are children and nothing bad will happen if they want to take some candy with them. Their behavior was very outrageous and obscene, as if she had stolen something. I was there for the first but last time.

Unfortunately there were a lot less vegetarian choices than I expected.

One of my favourite restaurants to visit. Despite being in a noisy area of town, the restaurant itself is on the second floor where no outside noise can be heard. The prices for the buffet are reasonable and the restaurant offers a good and wide selection of meals to choose from; and is always well cooked and are delicious. The pizza's are the only issue I have - they are rather basic and there aren't many options other than pepperoni or standard cheese-only. Good friendly service. Always clean. Been here a number of times and will continue to come here. Highly recommended. Sadly their free meal offer on your birthday only applies when you have 4 or more people coming to eat; which is very disappointing. I haven't come here for my last birthday because of this.

Love the food here, especially the seafood, very friendly staff. Had some misunderstanding with the payment, having a booked table, but they sorted out in a very friendly and efficient manner.

Visited hong buffet recently quality of the food was amazing so much variety perfect for kids as my kids are picky Eaters they loved it!

The interior of the restaurant was lovely.Food was just as amazing sea food was what stood out to me the most it was very delicious. All staff was very polite and helpful will definitely visit again!

Over priced food wasn't great place just looked outdated

Lovely place and massive menu. Had not been there before so didn't know the procedure. Our party was left standing by the desk for some 5 minutes while the young girl behind the desk had what I believe was soup. I eventually asked her what the procedure was and was told to stand over there and somebody would show us to our seats. Some further 5 minutes later a man turned up to show us to our seats only to realise that we didn't know we had to pay up front and so had no ticket and so was sent back to the desk girl. With what seemed like a massive effort the girl accepted our payment gave us our ticket and went back to her soup.We were duly shown to our seats but left sitting there for some 10 minutes waiting for someone to show us what the next step was. We eventually decided to follow some others and help ourselves to food. We had a brilliant time and had some lovely food but some guidance from staff initially would have been helpful. Would certainly go back and of course I now know the system so hopefully the embarrassing situation I and my party encountered will not happen again. In conclusion suggest staff behind the desk should not have their food on view when customers come in if they must eat while on the job. Also the girl I refer to looked like she didn't want to be there. Sorry for rant but initial impressions count. Francis Adam

My wife and other friends planned for a pre-Christmas dinner for our families (4 in all) and I was hesitant why we would drive all the way from MK. I wish I had read the reviews before embarking on that adventure. Like other people have said in their reviews, the front desk staff was very rude. I don’t actually mind paying before getting seated but why would you have a height marker by the wall for kids when you’re clearly hoping to charge kids who are tall as adults. I bluntly told them it was an attempt to rip customers off. She ignored me and just said to take it up with the Mgt. We paid and as some in our party had just arrived and were trying to park she told us that our 2 hour limit had started counting. Who does that? Then I’ve been to numerous buffets and for the price we paid I expected table staff to come round to clear the plates often and to, at least serve water and other beverages at the table. The plates were cleared only once during our meal and at the end, when we were leaving. We had to go to a self serve stand for water (tap) and sodas. I then went to the bar to get a couple of cocktails for my wife and myself and the barman tried to shaft me by not using the appropriate measurements for my Long Island. I rejected the drink and only paid for my wife’s Sex on the Beach. Food quality was quite bland, except for the lamb chops.

Best buffet in Luton! For only £13 for lunch you can get all you can eat Chinese, Indian, and American food! Would recommend
