Small place with fantastic food made from the heart. We went 2 times for breakfast. We ordered Bread with mexican beans and avocado. This is a delicious plate. We also had pancakes with fruitsauce, also delicious. We also had tea and a coffee called "Cortado". I lived many years in the Canary Islands where it is from, and you don´t see this coffee elsewhere. she know how to make it, thanks, lived it.

We absolutely loved this place and went back both mornings we stayed over in Haymarket. It felt special in here and really cosy as well. Really nice lady runnning the cafe. Superb high quality brunch and great portions as well, plenty to chose from. Will 100% be back next time in Edinburgh :)

Excellent freshly made food. The portions are very large, so everyone gets their fill. It's worth it not to order more than one thing at a time. There is everything from healthy food to calorie bombers here. It is admirable how the coffee is run by only one woman, without having to wait for a long time.

My husband, daughter & I went for breakfast at the Honeycomb Tearoom this morning & it was great. Only about a dozen seats & only one lady (the owner?), serving & cooking. This isn’t a place to go if you’re in a rush but the food is well worth the wait. The full breakfast was delicious. My daughter enjoyed her waffles with Nutella & bananas, a large portion with plenty of Nutella. My husband went for a breakfast roll with sausage & added egg which he also enjoyed. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Edinburgh.

Perfect! Such a gem of a place that we found. Highly recommend, intimate as it’s only small inside but adds to the vibe. Food was gorgeous & menu full of lovely, appetising things. Never ending tea list, lovely lady working the front too just couldn’t fault the place!

Wonderful place for a breakfast. Food was superb, all cooked fresh to order. Small and cosy, so limited space but worth the wait for food. Generous portions perfect start for a day around the city.

Food is good, coffee less so (does anywhere in Edinburgh serve decent coffee?) woman serving seemed rushed off her feet, not polite or welcoming and hard to understand. Very slow, people were leaving after being ignored.

Excellent coffee, freshly squeezed orage juice, tasty toast, scrambled eggs, etc. Very inviting and cosy, very friendly service, all home-made! Just great!

lovely little cafe, food was so good and excellent value for money!! One lady working on a sunday so service wasn’t super speedy, but the cafe was quiet and lovely so it didn’t matter. Highly recommend a visit, lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Gluten free friendly too!

Great breakfast. I had full cooked breakfast and my wife had scrambled egg on toast with bacon. All produce was of very good quality and cooked to perfection. Cost was very reasonable too.

Found this amazing little cafe opposite our hotel, we went there every morning for breakfast and it didn't disapoint, whatever we had was freshly made, delicious and filled us up till dinner. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Fabulous start to the day..you must not miss this little gem. Leaf tea in a bone china cup what more is there..Well there’s smoothies coffee all manner of other leaf and fruit floral teas..The food menu is a delight..waffles, full breakfast, all manner of wraps pannini’s toasties ... We stopped at this little spot of breakfast. This was perfect as it was right near our hotel and such a cute place for brunch. I had hot chocolate which was real hot chocolate and tasted lovely and rich! I also had waffles and syrup which again were homemade and were a start to our day. This is a favorite place to stop into on my walk to work, especially in the winter months! The coffee is delicious (and even though latte art probably doesn’t technically affect the flavor I think it makes mine taste better) - the baked goods are always fresh and the staff and clientele are always really pleasant to chat with. I tried to take a photo of the latte art the other morning, but i drank my coffee too fast so you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Nipped in to get a takeaway wrap for my lunch, service took 15 minutes to make one meal and there was not a sole in the place, the servers were really rude and then when I left and went to eat the wrap it was inedible absolutely horrible. Order a Vietnamese chicken wrap, came soggy just boiled chicken with lettuce and carrot and soaked in a brown water that smelled unbearable. AVOID

Went here yesterday on our first morning in Edinburgh and found it to be really cute and cozy! Everything on the menu is very cheaply priced, we weren't too hungry so ordered poached eggs on toast and a sausage breakfast roll but the food was tasty and fresh! Our tea was real loose leaf tea served in vintage style teapots which was lovely. It is small but was quite full and service was really good even though only one lady was serving. Was going to come again but found it was closed sundays!

I've been to 10 countries on this trip. This is by far the best breakfast I've had. Also....best scrambled eggs I've EVER had . Bacon delicious as well. It's so good that I'm still here and already reviewing. I also got pancakes...homemade and unreal. I'll be back here tomorrow. Probably top 10 breakfast for me all-time.

I had passed the cafe the evening before and looked at the menu, I didn’t fancy standard hotel breakfast and the creamy mushrooms with poached egg caught my eye. When I went in I was initially disappointed to hear it was from the lunch menu but nothing was too much trouble and they made it for me. It was absolutely gorgeous and the coffee was excellent too.

I had scrambled eggs & smoked salmon toast whit a chai latte that was delicious. They have different kinds of tea and coffee and a huge variety and combinations for breakfast. The service also was very nice!

Had breakfast there today and despite a longish wait, the food when it arrived was eminently worth it -- I had the scrambled eggs with gruyere and chorizo and am salivating just thinking about it ! Good coffee and chill vibe but not a place to go if you're in a mad rush.

We rented a flat down the street for a week and ended up at this restaurant several times. Fantastic food!! Everything is made to order and everything we ordered was delicious. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry, it’s not fast food.

We visited three times during our stay in Edinburgh and each time the food was unbelievably delicious- and so reasonably priced! We had porridge, fresh fruit salad (really freshly cut!), tea and coffee (excellent), salmon/egg on toast (moist, wonderful), blueberry pancakes (coming from Americans who know their pancakes, these are seriously top shelf pancakes- and served with real maple syrup), and some lunch items as well (soup was fresh and flavorful, salad light and delicious, fresh scone, and my husband had a rarebit waffle which he enjoyed). One thing to consider: the food is made to order so don’t come in a rush. The wait is 100% worth it!

We came in with 7 people. A big group for this place. So it was a bit of a wait before we got our food. But it was well worth it. All of the dishes were amazing. And just a chill place to sit. Definitely reccommend.

My wife and I were in town today so we decided to have lunch. Tried a few places up Morrison Street. So we popped into the honeycomb tearooms. What a great find off the beaten track, but that's not a bad thing. The all day breakfast was well worth the money, coupled with a breakfast tea would set you up for the day. We will be back.

Definitely one of the best breakfasts we had in Edinburgh. The first impression may not reveal the gem. But I think the real magic happens in the kitchen. The waiter was very friendly. It’s not the right place if you are in a hurry. I recommend the waffles!
