Honest Burgers Liverpool Street in City of London, Westminster

Great place, clean, good atmosphere, friendly staff and perhaps the best burger I’ve ever had. Props to the two chefs they know how to cook a burger!

We went with a 9-year-old, and although I wasn't expecting it, they had a menu designed just for him, with a drawing and his options. The food is fresh and it feels good.

Honest are in my opinion the best burgers that I have tried so far, so great food,.

Honest Burgers Spitalfields was just the thing after a long day at work on our business trip! We went there on the recommendation of a colleague - and were absolutely not disappointed. We treated ourselves to a cold beer and ordered the Double Smashed Burger, accompanied in style by fries, wings and onion rings. And what can you say? Simply great! The burger was juicy, perfectly smashed and tasted great. The side dishes were also on point: crispy fries, spicy wings and golden, crispy rings - that's exactly what a burger should be! The atmosphere was relaxed and the team was friendly – ​​an all-round successful evening. For anyone looking for really good burgers in London: Honest Burgers Spitalfields is definitely worth recommending!

We were told by a guy who seemed to be a manager that we “Already moved enough”, because we moved from one table to another because it was cold. I have no words to explain this type of behaviour to customers.

Delicious food, especially the burgers, but the beef burger could use some veggies like extra tomatoes and the burgers are a bit small. The pesto burger is GREAT!!! The fries are super good with the rosemary addition but it would be better to ask if they could reduce the salt because it tasted a bit much more than balanced. The staff is AMAZING! They're super friendly, responsive, and fast.

We were attended by the veeery patient William. It was 6 of us , and although I love meat I am fasting so I had to chose and alternative. William kindly explained all the other options! I happened to pass the shop as it looked very inviting from the outside. I ordered the Double Smash Burger and my companion ordered the Single Smash Burger. Sorry, but you can't call these burgers we were served smash. To this day I still wonder what was smashed on the burger because it definitely wasn't the patties. Unfortunately the buns weren't good either, way too hard for a burger like this. I was quite surprised by all the positive reviews. Better keep your hands off the smashed burgers. But the homemade iced tea was delicious. Unfortunately, the water that was provided to us free of charge had a strong chemical aftertaste. Next time I'll give the "normal" burgers a chance.

Had a great experience at Honest Burgers Spitalfields! Had a chat with the manager and he is a great guy—super attentive and clearly takes great care of the place. I didn’t catch his name, but he made a really positive impression. The food was excellent as always, and the whole vibe made for a great visit. Definitely coming back

My burger was very small and was very salty unfortunately. Chips were good. So not impressed. Good thing was they did a gluten free option for my girlfriend!

When we came on Tuesday evening 18/02/25 was very busy, unexpectedly as we found out later. Despite busy time we were spotted by manager right away. She offered one table but asked if we don’t like this spot we can wait a bit longer for better table. We didn’t mind, we sat down. The wait was a bit long as it was very busy and shorter of staff, which is understandable. The manager was great- polite, friendly and helpful. We had a quick chat. Food was great as always in HB. People kept coming and manager was taking care of them. Great experience.

This is a long overdue review to one of the best burger joints in London I’ve been a regular since 2022, but a first time in this lovely branch in Spitalfields All is great and you won’t go wrong with any option you make

Went with a friend and our two babies. I do love an honest burger. I’d actually recently had an amazing gluten free one at a different branch so fancied it again. Sadly this time my gluten-free bun wasn’t fully defrosted so had to send it back. They did give a new plate without too much delay and new set of fries. My son’s chicken breast was also overcooked and a bit charred this time. The staff i have to say were friendly and helpful to us both. I rate honest burgers, just not the best experience food-wise on this occasion.

Very good food, both in quantity and quality. We ordered pizzas and hamburgers and everything was pretty good (the simpler the pizzas, the better in our opinion) although the chicken pizza was a little dry. We asked for glasses and plates and they gave us plastic ones (a little tatty) but the staff was very nice. Although the place doesn't seem like much of the best quality-price deals we found in London for "fast food."

We used to go regularly to an Honest Burger near our house, which unfortunately has become hit or miss over the last few years. This location however is consistently excellent ! Super fresh fries, clearly fried fresh to order — which was one of the problems at the other location, that batch fried and then served cold, soggy, poorly reheated fries. Perfectly cooked burgers. Really friendly staff. Definitely recommend !!

I ate here for lunch, having to stay in the station area to catch a train afterwards. I got the tribute burger, which included fries with rosemary, and a gravy. Honestly, the sandwich was a bit small, then for the flavor there was the mustard which greatly covered the other flavours, the gravy sauce to touch with the chips was good but paying £3 for that alone seems exaggerated to me. Nice, rustic place, friendly staff but I don't know if I would go back

Después de una encantadora visita a la barbacana y luego al mercado de Spitalfields, fuimos a Honest burgers establecer un pequeño camino precioso en el camino de regreso a Liverpool Street (no más de 4 minutos a pie). Servicio amable del personal, y un buen ambiente, aunque la música era un poco fuerte (tengo más de 50 años! ). Ambos optamos por el menú de Navidad que no decepcionó. Mi hija vegana disfrutó mucho de su hamburguesa a base de plantas navideñas. Tomé la hamburguesa de pollo más increíble con una cobertura de camembert que era absolutamente divino. Las papas fritas eran algo un poco diferente (romero) pero muy sabroso. También tenemos una bebida y un acompañamiento también. Tanto la ensalada como la ensalada de col estaban muy sabrosas. La única molestia fue que se agregó el cargo por servicio - habría pagado felizmente por el servicio, pero prefiero que esa sea mi elección, no me fuercen. Sin embargo, como me había registrado y recibí un vale de £ 5 que pagó por eso de todos modos!

Normally love Honest, usually great food and experience. However, tonight I went there for a burger and before we had even ordered we left due to very rude service. The restaurant was rather loud so we moved to another table in the corner. We didn’t realise this wasn’t ok and were met with a very unreasonable, and frankly, aggressive server. They then brought over an even more unreasonable manager. Suffice to say we left promptly to go to the Patty & Bun down the road, where we were met with a much better atmosphere and service. I’m still a big Honest Burger fan. However, I will be avoiding this branch until they can hire in some more welcoming servers.

We ate at Honest Burger again on our Christmas trip to London, simply perfect!! Opposite the branch at Borough Market, the atmosphere is much better, really clocky. We'd love to come back😊

Really gross. 2 tepid burgers and fries. I went at 6pm and seemed like the day staff were changing to night and they were understaffed. 2 people left as they couldn't get the waiters attention...

También ordenamos morir por salsa de tocino, aros de cebolla celestiales y ensalada de col crujiente. I had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely unwelcome. The service was incredibly slow; it took far too long for someone to take our order, and then even longer for the food to arrive. While the burgers themselves were fine, the overall lack of hospitality and the drawn-out wait times left a lot to be desired.

I love Honest burger and always have. It’s one of my favourite burger chains and you can’t beat the price. However, the burgers themselves have shrunk in size but are still the same price. Really disappointing. I’ve been three times in the past 2 weeks (no judgement please) and have been bitterly disappointed every time at the size of the burger.

We really should be keeping places like this secret. But the secret is obviously already out! It is a wonderful place, serving great food. The name of the place is quite apt, reinforced by lovely plain thick wooden tables. It has a good vibe and great staff. The staff are incredibly helpful. Will definitely re-visit.

Really good burgers and wings, had the chicken and a beef, fries really good too. Only reason it’s a 3*is because our wine got forgotten and the toilets were really dirty. Wings just fall off the bone and food great.

It's ok for an average small burger. It's definitely smaller than other burgers in the area, and the taste is average or below average. It is a one timer for me.

Being a loyal costumer for years, I had the worst experience dinning out in my life. The two girl waitress made us eat outside at 2 degrees when we arrived 30 min before they closed. We said to them that if at 11pm (time that they close) we were still eating we would live. And when we get our take away order (just right at 11pm - such a coincidence) they just have 3 burgers to a table and they were dinning in. The table next to us and us got our food at the same time but it seemed that it was too annoying for them to let us eat inside. By friend had recently an severe injury in her knee and we had to stand both of us in the street at 2 degrees because they just decided that we couldn’t eat in the restaurant while there were still 3 tables eating, and one of them just got served. Literally the worst treat I received ever she literally couldn’t care less, will never come back to be served by such “humans”, that was disgusting.

Food was fantastic as usual but the waitress was incredibly rude, I ordered my burger well done, my two friends ordered them medium, when the waitress arrived with the burgers and was serving them to the table, I asked her if she was giving me the burger that was well done, and in a snotty response she replied ‘if it was the burger that was well done I would have said it was the burger that was well done’ and gave me the medium burger. We then had to all awkwardly shuffle our plates around as she walked off. She heard me complaining to my friends after this and a few moments later she was distributing napkins to all of the empty tables around us, we’d no napkins at our table so I asked if we could have some, instead of giving us the napkins she’d just dropped off to all of the empty tables around us she walked in to the kitchen and came back two minutes later with napkins. I’m not sure if this was pettiness or incompetence but the waitress let down the restaurant. The food was fantastic as always, they shouldn’t let the poor service let them down. Happy to provide details of who the waitress was.

Waited 40 Minutes(for cold food), Servers where very rude and the ambience was loud and noisy. The food and burgers where okay, but the experience was under average.

The blue cheese burger was very good. Bbq chicken tenders were big. Enjoyed eating here but feels a bit like a fastfood restaurant.

The burgers are not bad, they just seemed a little small to us, the terrible thing was the fries, full of grease and a little cold, as well as the fried onion rings.

Use to be a regular here, food gone but down hill but it’s ok, but noticed many rats/mice on floor running around and left me uncomfortable , won’t be coming back anymore unfortunately, most of the restaurants are quiet dirty too and have been cheaply decorated, I think some modernising is in order and a brand update as it use to be a good place

We arrived late for our booking but we had rung ahead to say we had been delayed. We were shown to a table straight away. We chose our drinks and food but it was over 20 minutes before anyone took our order. The staff are very pleasant but lack the ability to see that customers would like a drink, let alone order food. It was busy but no need for a twenty minute wait. I had the BBQ Siracha burger which was unbelievably fabulous. Full of flavour with a little chilli hit. Delicious! My partner chose the double smashed burger which was equally good. We also ordered the to die for bacon gravy, heavenly onion rings and crunchy coleslaw. I have to say this is our second time at an Honest Burger restaurant and these are my fave burgers of all time. The restaurant was very stuffy, almost uncomfortable 🥵. However, not even a hot restaurant will put me off Honest Burgers.

Restaurant is honestly called Poo burgers. Ordered food and it’s taken over two hours! Sprinkle on zero communications and what a great way to be treated. Choose happiness and just delete this place as a restaurant.

I worked for Honest burger Spitafild for almost a year, and it was the best job of my life, not only for the quality of the food we handled, but above all for the team I was part of. I felt part of a great team and I'm proud to have served for the best burger shop in London. I hope you continue to grow and bring to the table the passion for meat that you have always offered. Cursed be Brexit, for taking my place away from me.

Do not go here with a dairy allergy. Told the waitress at the beginning I was allergic to dairy, that it's really bad and that I wanted the vegan plant burger with vegan cheese. They gave me real cheese and then didn't seem very bothered about the fact I had eaten some. Really unhappy as been a loyal customer of honest burger for years. They gave me the whole meal for free and replaced my burger which was really nice but you can't make mistakes like that with allergies. Very upsetting and the waitress really didn't care that she'd done that, she said "I'm not sure how bad the allergy is but yeah" after I told her I had eaten some. The chef made the mistake and didn't come and apologise even though we could see him from the table.

One of the tastiest burgers I've tried in London. I tried -the tribute and it was quite tasty and juicy!!!! The girl with the curly hair who served us was very friendly and helped me choose. Good experience but the music was too loud and the restaurant itself was a bit noisy!

We arrived at London Stansted airport in the late evening. After arriving at Liverpool Street, it was quite late in the evening. I decided to have a meal in Honest burgers Spitalfields. Good burgers (and fries which are included). Especially for a chain. The service was nice as well. Sarah in particular. All in all a nice meal after a later afternoon flight from Italy.

Sadly not a great experience for the Friday mood. Came for lunch, and ordered smashed burger with lemonade, asked if it can be done without onion, and waiter said that not a problem at all. On the first bite, juicy piece of white onion shoot out and got stuck to a flyer on the table… Burger came full of fresh onion at the bottom of it. :( Usually staff is coming to ask if everything is fine with the order, but it wasn’t the case this time. (Wasn’t so busy on the floor) Had to go to the till with this. Should have chosen a Beyond meat version to avoid disappointment. So check your burgers before biting, if you had special dietary requests. Staff offered 25% discount for it. Thanks.

Is a place I go to every week for a good burger. The lights are warm and the music surrounds the experience of being served by friendly and dynamic waiters. the meat is delicious. i recommend the medium rare but even cooked well it leaves a taste in your mouth that cannot be commented on! Must try. The specials and locals are to be aassessed always, but I love the classic tribute most of all. If you go with friends and do the split you always fall within a price range of 13 to 30 never much in short. Cheap but where the customer is not neglected, rather gently followed and the questions the waitresses ask guide to choosing the right burger for you!

On August 16, 24, I went to dinner alone. At first, the interior was very noisy, with the sounds of people using the pub nearby, and although there was no wait, there was only one seat left. A female waiter showed us to our seats, and on the spot, we ordered an Honest Burger set, additional French fries, and a pint of beer. And the beer came out almost immediately, and the meal didn't come out for 40 minutes. The people who were there first started to leave, and the people behind them also started eating one by one. Apparently the manager was looking around the entire store and the employee who guided me was looking at the hall. I made eye contact with the staff several times to ask if my order had been missed, but the meal didn't come out, so I called the staff again. He asked me if the food was delicious. They said it didn't come out. He said he would check, then apologized and asked again if I wanted to eat or take it with me. Since I have time, I ask for food. And in almost 5 minutes, the manager packed and brought the food. I thought it was takeout. So, I said I was going to eat earlier and I said I had already waited about 50 minutes. They bring the packaged food back to the plate. Eat moderately cooled foods. Nothing was said, but there was a small discount applied to the receipt. While I was eating, I kept thinking, ‘Is this racism?’ I thought about it. The physical situation is very clearly racist. (I am the only Asian in the hall). But I liked the look on the employee's face when I first greeted him, so I decided to trust him and left. But it's been almost two weeks since I came back, and it still remains in my mind. I would like to ask the manager and staff if it was racial discrimination or if they felt uncomfortable saying I was eating at the restaurant. On the 16th of August, I went out for dinner by myself. When I first arrived, the inside was quite noisy with the sound of people from a nearby pub, even though there was no wait and just one table left. A female staff member showed me to my seat, and I ordered the Honest Burger set, an extra portion of French fries, and a pint of beer. The beer came out almost immediately, but then nothing else for 40 minutes. People who had arrived earlier started to leave, and even those who came in after me were getting their meals. The manager was clearly overseeing the whole restaurant, and the staff member who seated me was also on the floor, so I thought, "Was my order missed?" But I’d made eye contact with the staff several times, and still, no food. So, I called a staff member over. She asked me if I had enjoyed my meal, and I told her I hadn’t received anything. She said she'd check and came back to apologise, asking if I wanted to eat in or take away. I told her I had time and would like to eat in. Within five minutes, the manager brought my food, packed up as takeaway. He said he thought I’d asked for it to go. I explained that I’d already told them I was eating in and that I’d been waiting for almost 50 minutes. They took the food and brought it back on a plate. I ate the now lukewarm meal. The whole time, I kept thinking, “Was this racism?” Physically, it did feel like clear racial discrimination (I was the only Asian person in the room). But the staff member who greeted me initially had been friendly, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and left. Nothing was said, but there was a small discount applied on the receipt. But it’s been nearly two weeks since then, and it’s still stuck in my mind. I want to ask the manager and the staff if this was racial discrimination or if they were uncomfortable with me dining in.

A pesar de que el restaurante estaba tranquilo, el gerente rechazó nuestra solicitud de una mesa más grande sin una justificación clara, a pesar de que varias mesas más grandes seguían sin ocupar. Esta decisión restó valor a nuestra experiencia gastronómica, eclipsando la deliciosa comida y el agradable ambiente que suele ofrecer Honest Burger.
