We arrived at London Stansted airport in the late evening. After arriving at Liverpool Street, it was quite late in the evening. I decided to have a meal in Honest burgers Spitalfields. Good burgers (and fries which are included). Especially for a chain. The service was nice as well. Sarah in particular. All in all a nice meal after a later afternoon flight from Italy.

Sadly not a great experience for the Friday mood. Came for lunch, and ordered smashed burger with lemonade, asked if it can be done without onion, and waiter said that not a problem at all. On the first bite, juicy piece of white onion shoot out and got stuck to a flyer on the table… Burger came full of fresh onion at the bottom of it. :( Usually staff is coming to ask if everything is fine with the order, but it wasn’t the case this time. (Wasn’t so busy on the floor) Had to go to the till with this. Should have chosen a Beyond meat version to avoid disappointment. So check your burgers before biting, if you had special dietary requests. Staff offered 25% discount for it. Thanks.

Is a place I go to every week for a good burger. The lights are warm and the music surrounds the experience of being served by friendly and dynamic waiters. the meat is delicious. i recommend the medium rare but even cooked well it leaves a taste in your mouth that cannot be commented on! Must try. The specials and locals are to be aassessed always, but I love the classic tribute most of all. If you go with friends and do the split you always fall within a price range of 13 to 30 never much in short. Cheap but where the customer is not neglected, rather gently followed and the questions the waitresses ask guide to choosing the right burger for you!

On August 16, 24, I went to dinner alone. At first, the interior was very noisy, with the sounds of people using the pub nearby, and although there was no wait, there was only one seat left. A female waiter showed us to our seats, and on the spot, we ordered an Honest Burger set, additional French fries, and a pint of beer. And the beer came out almost immediately, and the meal didn't come out for 40 minutes. The people who were there first started to leave, and the people behind them also started eating one by one. Apparently the manager was looking around the entire store and the employee who guided me was looking at the hall. I made eye contact with the staff several times to ask if my order had been missed, but the meal didn't come out, so I called the staff again. He asked me if the food was delicious. They said it didn't come out. He said he would check, then apologized and asked again if I wanted to eat or take it with me. Since I have time, I ask for food. And in almost 5 minutes, the manager packed and brought the food. I thought it was takeout. So, I said I was going to eat earlier and I said I had already waited about 50 minutes. They bring the packaged food back to the plate. Eat moderately cooled foods. Nothing was said, but there was a small discount applied to the receipt. While I was eating, I kept thinking, ‘Is this racism?’ I thought about it. The physical situation is very clearly racist. (I am the only Asian in the hall). But I liked the look on the employee's face when I first greeted him, so I decided to trust him and left. But it's been almost two weeks since I came back, and it still remains in my mind. I would like to ask the manager and staff if it was racial discrimination or if they felt uncomfortable saying I was eating at the restaurant. On the 16th of August, I went out for dinner by myself. When I first arrived, the inside was quite noisy with the sound of people from a nearby pub, even though there was no wait and just one table left. A female staff member showed me to my seat, and I ordered the Honest Burger set, an extra portion of French fries, and a pint of beer. The beer came out almost immediately, but then nothing else for 40 minutes. People who had arrived earlier started to leave, and even those who came in after me were getting their meals. The manager was clearly overseeing the whole restaurant, and the staff member who seated me was also on the floor, so I thought, "Was my order missed?" But I’d made eye contact with the staff several times, and still, no food. So, I called a staff member over. She asked me if I had enjoyed my meal, and I told her I hadn’t received anything. She said she'd check and came back to apologise, asking if I wanted to eat in or take away. I told her I had time and would like to eat in. Within five minutes, the manager brought my food, packed up as takeaway. He said he thought I’d asked for it to go. I explained that I’d already told them I was eating in and that I’d been waiting for almost 50 minutes. They took the food and brought it back on a plate. I ate the now lukewarm meal. The whole time, I kept thinking, “Was this racism?” Physically, it did feel like clear racial discrimination (I was the only Asian person in the room). But the staff member who greeted me initially had been friendly, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and left. Nothing was said, but there was a small discount applied on the receipt. But it’s been nearly two weeks since then, and it’s still stuck in my mind. I want to ask the manager and the staff if this was racial discrimination or if they were uncomfortable with me dining in.

My recent experience at Honest Burger was marred by disappointing customer service. Despite the restaurant being quiet, the manager refused our request for a larger table without clear justification, even though several larger tables remained unoccupied. This decision significantly detracted from our dining experience, overshadowing the delicious food and pleasant ambiance that Honest Burger usually offers. It's disheartening when such minor issues affect an otherwise enjoyable meal, and I hope Honest Burger takes steps to improve their customer service and accommodate reasonable requests more effectively in the future.

Took a bit of time with the order, but when it did come...oh boy was that burger juicy! 10/10 on food 7/10 on service, but don't let that stop you from enjoying an good old burger and chips.

This is my second visit to this burger chain, and it’s still just as good. We had smash burgers. Fast service, good value for money! Slight downside, the waiters don't come to clear up and ask us if we want to order something else.

Would have been a 5* but the service started amazing and then unfortunately left us waiting. We ordered within 10 mins with only 5 tables occupied. Food arrived pretty quickly but then a large crowd came in and we waited a long time for the plates to be taken and then pay. Having waited for a long time we asked for the optional service charge to be removed which then added another few minutes because it had to be reprinted. Having paid not so much as a thank you, your payment has gone through or a good bye 😒 Come for the food, don't come for the service.

Had their special collab burger Truffle fried chicken burger, proper feast it was. Had for lunch, did not bother with dinner since I was still stuffeddddd.

A very nice shop, very nice environment, beautiful decoration. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The burgers are very tasty with good raw ingredients. It's an expensive shop, but normal for England's standards. If you eat hot, get the chilli burger as well as the wings from the starters.. We got an Honest burger, a chilli burger and buffalo wings. They were delicious, but the burgers were a bit small for me and came with fries. We paid nearly £40.

Me and my boyfriend came here to get dinner and we couldn't have asked for anything better! The atmosphere was lovely when we were there (around 6) and we both got the current special, the chicken truffle burger. It was well priced for how delicious it was. I CANT RECOMMEND THAT BURGER ENOUGH. Great portion sizes and chips are included😄 I don't usually try new things but the truffle burger looked really good and I was surprised that I even liked the pickles and american cheese in it!

The hamburger here is definitely a tradition for us when we pass through London. Typical environment, impeccable service, excellent quality and quantity. A certainty every time we return! very convenient because it is attached to LiverpoolStreet station.

Becoming my favorite burger chain. Went with my son after seeing a show and probably one of the best burgers I had. Went with the smashed burger with bacon, a lot of flavor, everything came together well. The chips (fries) were also excellent, the rosemary came through and there were a lot of crispy bits. The only disappointment was the onion rings, nothing special, not enough onion in my opinion, ended up not finishing as it seemed to take away from the rest of the meal.

Smash burger was very tasty! Other burgers were nice as well. Fresh fries for everyone. Did not like Onion rings, they were extra oily. The overall service was good, also, I notice service is manually included.

Stumbled across this little gem of a place and popped in for a quick bite Good menu and was delighted with the food! Burgers were delicious but if you are fussy with pink, you had better tell them. The onion rings are crispy on the outside and taste great. The fries were freshly fried, but unfortunately they were over-fried, bitter, too crispy, and tasted like potato chips. The beef in the burger is medium rare and pink. Very tender. There is a sweet sauce on top. The waiter has a good attitude

Chips were small pieces of potato. Like the bottom of the bag. Onion rings were large rings of oil. (Change the oil) Burger was nice. Waiter didnt have much knowledge of the set menu.

A place with a very good atmosphere on a street with a very good atmosphere as well, spectacular food, hamburgers with incredible flavor and spectacular meat (my mouth is watering as I write the review) The burgers were very balanced and nothing covered up the flavor of anything and you could enjoy everything, the burgers come with potatoes which are a luxury and a perfect combination. The place is cool and is ideal to go with friends and enjoy.

Top burgers in London City! Honest Burgers is a small chain with several restaurants in London. The burgers are absolutely recommended. There are also some vegetarian options. The fries are seasoned with rosemary and taste very tasty. The homemade lemonade is also highly recommended. Water is inexpensive and comes in a jug. The staff is very friendly and quick. The price/performance ratio is suitable for London.

Value for your money! On Saturday evenings it is busy at Honest Burgers Spitalfields. Yet we quickly found a seat and, to our surprise, received our dishes quickly. The Smashed Burger is good, not the best, but good. For £9.75 you can get a burger with good fries, which is cheap by London standards.

Lol, It's not a desert island; it's called Brick Lane & Saturdays; the area is heaving; if you dont know now, you know,…and you had more staff than clients. No bother. If that’s the level of service you provide and are proud of, let it be! ***********************‫ We visited on Saturday. Sadly, there was nothing to compare with any other branch we’ve been to. Unfortunately, we had awful, sluggish service; lagging throughout, only one of the male servers was working with the rest of the team, and the waitpeople were all over the place and looked tired. It was poor service overall, even though it was a massive team on that shift; we came in around 4 PM; we were a couple sat at the end at the corner table; there were Plenty of waiters/waitresses around, so they were not understaffed. Frankly, many of them were there, Mainly hiding or chilling in the private room area near where we sat. We ordered two burgers and wings and took them a while!!! The Chefs were constantly cooking and ringing the bell, both takeaways and in-house,…but the food was sitting in the kitchen on shelves for ages…! After all that wait,…They brought our burgers eventually, but the wings were still nowhere to be seen; the burgers arrived already cold, 🥶 and then they realised our wings were missing, as I think the guy was the supervisor asked us if we had our wings already?! Obviously, We said nope! While the cold burgers were almost finished, we were starving. Guess what? A few minutes later, He brought the tiny “So-called Large portion wings” and was cold 🥶 again!!! Shocking, I couldn’t make it up! It felt like a chilled/Cozy environment for their staff; nothing was professional or productive there! Extremely laidback/Lazy service and We were shocked as they were having a great time; the only ones suffering Were whom? You guessed it right; the only ones suffering were the guests/Customers inside. The team was having a blast, and we won't come back Never again. We won't come back, No probs.

I’ve eaten multiple times and in different honest burger houses in London, and it has always been delicious! The venues always looks traditional and give a vintage and traditional feeling. The service is rapid and great. Good prices for quality and great food. Honest burger is my go to burger restaurant wherever there is one in the UK. Very recommended!!

Got into Liverpool Station and wondered around looking for someplace to eat. Saw this Honest Burger and tried it. Was really nice. Nothing fancy inside but very casual atmosphere. Food was great and cost was not bad. Would eat here again!

It was our first experience of this place, and what a surprise it was. The burger is simply excellent, the fries are superb, and the price is ridiculously low (considering it is located in the financial centre of London). Overall, it was a great experience that we will repeat on our next trip to London.

Overall experience is around 3.5/5. The burgers were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Portions were not huge and my meal was around 17 pounds.

The truth is that I found it a little disappointing. I had seen it highly recommended for people with celiac disease and when I got there they told me that they couldn't give me even 90% security. Still, we stayed and the truth is that the smashed burger was very good although we didn't like the onion rings very much. They have several vegan options, which is also a positive point.

I went there by myself today and they placed me by the window, as they do with any solo visitor. It was all going well, but I waited 20 minutes or so and nobody came to take my order. They even assisted people close to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I like the chain, but I wouldn't come back to this specific branch. I would understand if it was busy, but there were less than 30% of the tables taken.

Average food, rude staff. We ordered tap water but it was undrinkable full of black dirt. I would never go back again. High bill compared to the quality of the food and the venue.

I'm not putting it directly, but the supposed sympathy and goodwill didn't fit here in this day and time (01/04/2024 17:19pm). Maybe for some non-specific reason but with the restaurant practically empty, full of tables some did have reservation signs and most don’t when entering the premises, the reception wanted me to sit at the window counter, I said no, I want to sit at that table and she simply told me no, that the table was for 4 people and not for two. I understand that if the restaurant was full, it would be fine, but as I said and you can see on the cameras it was completely empty. I've been going to this spot for over 4 years, it may take me a while to go but it's close to home. I've never had this problem before here and I've always sat where I wanted to.But this time even the guy who says he's the "manager", I've never seen him there, said no and he also said he wouldn't serve the food for me. Unfortunate situation, the "manager" was supposed to try to explain herself or convince me with some good reason as to why I shouldn't sit at that table where there were no "reserved” signs than to continue saying that no and the food would not be served and that I would not sit there. It's a regrettable situation, but apparently one more or less customer won't make a difference for you. And don't tell me it's not true what I said because I have proof.

Our feedback can not be other than negative for that place. We decided to order hamburgers in that place, but the service was extremely slow in my opinion. The table next to us came later and finished their dinner when at the same time we were still waiting for ... 2 hamburgers. After 45 minutes waiting we decided to eat at our place and we asked for take-away. May be more interesting was that we had to pay 10% for the "service".

They appear as gluten free but then they only guarantee 80/90 percent. You assume the risk but they are released from responsibility. Chaotic service and they do not follow the instructions you give, although they accept them. The starters were terrible and the burgers, without being spectacular, were not bad. I will not come back.

Update: Everyone - these people complained to my company that I complained about them, what a great look for them. They also charged our card they held for our booking deposit in retaliation, which came up to more than the service charge and burger they supposedly didn't charge... I had provided feedback to them through their internal feedback system initially and they didn't contact me when they could, instead they chose to find ways to attack me for my review. The complaint they sent to my company dismissed me as an "angry woman" - misogyny is acceptable to this company it seems. Might be the explanation as to why I was the only one without food. Original review Looking at the recent reviews it has all gone downhill here, and that was my experience. Was a regular customer, now I won't be back. Long wait for food. Staff have bad attitude, one of the servers gaslight me when she get the order wrong and demanded I accept whatever but then didn't actually come back to serve it. I had to chase someone else down. For context it took so long that they had CLEARED the table before my missing food came, so everyone had to awkwardly wait without anything to drink. The correct burger and fries eventually arrived, but badly seasoned and too salty, also the fries were all burnt. They removed the service charge and cost for the ruined burger which is the minimum you'd expect. I am glad I don't have to fight for that at least. So I guess they deserve the 1 star.

Best burgers I ever had in a long time! (Yes I had more than one) Staff was also really kind and welcoming and the vibe is also nice and perfect to have a chat over some delicious food.

Went last night for take away and the price isn’t the issue as much as I asked for no seasoning on my fries and then I only walked three blocks to my hotel to have salted and rosemary cold fries. Sorry but for £15 I expected better. I was too tired to go back. I had the truffle burger which was tasty though. My husband had the local and sadly it was very salty with the chorizo. Today our tummies are a little off and since I couldn’t eat the fries I felt cheated. To pay £15 for just a decent burger seems excessive. Service was friendly as we ordered there. No quality control obviously here. Oh well I won’t be back at least to this location

We enjoyed these burgers and the friendly service. We arrived early (6ish) and the place filled up quickly- Friday night- so probably book ahead. The restaurant had a nice cozy feel. We had Honest Burgers and Fried Chicken burger - both good. The chips weren’t the best we have had but it was an enjoyable meal.
