Burger & Lobster Threadneedle in City of London, Westminster

I gave only 5 stars on the service just because that is the maximum, Daria was the perfect host, very friendly and competent.

I booked a table of five for a birthday party on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was excellent, with mood lighting, although some of my group commented that the music “seemed almost like a club”. It was also evident that this was a place to celebrate, with many people well-dressed and having birthday cake. Our server also should be commended for going out of her way to take excellent photos of us. Ordering was seamless, with drinks orders taken before food orders. The food itself didn’t take long to arrive at all and was excellent. For example the lobster claws were pre-cracked, so there was minimal mess and it was intuitive for the more inexperienced lobster-eaters amongst our party. Only thing I’d say are that the corners of the booth tables are very sharp, and difficult to enter and exit, especially if one has draped coats or placed gifts there. Something for management to look into perhaps?

I love Burger & Lobster! It is one of my favorite restaurants in London. The food, the ambiance and the staff is fantastic. I would recommend going there for lunch and dinner!

First time visiting Burger and Lobster and we would absolutely visit again. We only stayed for drinks and a few started and everything was simply amazing, down from the hostess, to the food and the lovely bartender Roberto who recommended what cocktails we'd like, he took time to understand what flavours we liked based his choice of that. Beautiful service from everyone we interacted with.

Sadly this was first and last visit to Burger and Lobster. I visited with two of my friends for dinner, got the set menu with half lobster and to my disappointment the lobsters looked very poor and over grilled, when I say over grilled I mean it was covered in charcoal and tasted nothing like lobster, it was more of a taste of charcoal and the smell was the worst. Looked as if they just tried reheating lobster that someone else didn't want. We didn't even finish the food. Very disappointing experience and not something I would expect in a place that specialises in lobsters. Even though chefs did their best to cover the burn marks, the food was not edible. We left disappointed and the taste of the burned lobster stayed with us for the rest of the day. Wouldn't recommend.

First off, the food was absolutely amazing truly a memorable dining experience. But I need to highlight one particular staff member: Carlos. His service was nothing short of spectacular. His warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care elevated the entire experience. Quite frankly, if I come back and find out he hasn’t received a well-deserved pay raise, I’ll walk right back out. Carlos is the kind of team member who keeps customers coming back, and I’ll be bringing enough family and friends to book out the entire place just to experience both the incredible food and, of course, Carlos’ exceptional service.

Combo for two: There are lobsters, lobster burgers, and burgers. The portions are enough, so you don’t need to order extra side dishes.

Great food and atmosphere! Visited for lunch with a colleague and service was prompt despite being incredibly busy. Due to no tables, they offered us seats at the bar to dine which was great. As we hadn't booked but they still managed to accommodate us. Definitely worth trying the burger and lobster combo...

I was celebrating my 21st Birthday, the food was amazing, especially Beast Burger & Lobster, cocktails were delicious as well. The service was top notch, especial thanks to Fabiola, who was so professional and sincere with us. Will definitely return to this place!

As one our party said “lovely interior but it’s a rip-off”. Inattentive service, strange lobster “roll” with tiny portions of lobster amid a slice of tasteless brioche. Generic cheap fast food fries, at this price there are far better dining options in London. Never visiting again!!

Yohan was very intuitive in selecting our cocktails and had a passion for his art. He made us a cocktail off the menu which was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Additionally the food was outstanding will definitely be back!

food was good but not exceptionally impressive as the size of the lobster is on the small side. maybe its the winter stock. But Carlos our server made the whole night a memorable evening. personable and very detailed with his attention. he made the difference and definitely will be back.

We're here for the first time and since the first step in we had a really warm welcome by Carlos! He was really nice and helpful! Would live to come back again!

Beautiful restaurant & really great service & food. The only down was the sticky toffee pudding was not warm enough but I think this is because they want the ice cream sits ontop without melting, which wouldn't have minded it melting, which we did mention.

I tried the lobster roll, their signature dish, which I also had a few years ago. Sadly, it’s not what it used to be. The price has gone up from £20 to £30, and the portion has noticeably shrunk. The bread, once a rich and buttery brioche, has been replaced with a basic white slice. The French fries are uninspired. The sauce was good, the lobster fresh and tender, but it lacked the meatiness flavour to make it memorable. Overall, the food gets a 2/5—decent but far from justifying the price tag. Service was quick and efficient but not particularly warm or welcoming. If you’re pressed for time and need a quick meal during a busy day, it’s a convenient option given the location.

This branch of Burger and Lobster is one of the best branches in London. The atmosphere is great, and the service even better. This is my fourth visit to this branch and I am happy to say that the quality of service and food has been outstanding each and every time. Definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re in London wanting a quality meal.

I had an incredible dining experience at Burgers and Lobsters in Bank! The food was absolutely delicious—the burgers were juicy, and the lobster was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. A special shoutout to Julia, our waitress, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. She was attentive, friendly, and had such a wonderful energy that made us feel so welcomed. Julia’s service truly elevated the experience. Can’t wait to return!

When I entered the restaurant, there was no staff at the front desk, and no one arranged seating for me throughout. One of the female servers kept giving me unpleasant looks and acted very rude. I’m not sure if this was due to racial discrimination. The service charge was set at 20%, but I requested to have it removed. Based on a previous review mentioning that they charged Asian customers higher service fees, it seems to be true. No drinking water was provided. The female server brought the wrong dish — I ordered three baked oysters but received six chilled ones instead. The lobster was much smaller compared to what others ordered for the same price, and both the beef rib and lobster were burnt. There was absolutely no service. They didn’t replace cutlery for every course, which was very unprofessional. After taking my fork away, they didn’t give me a new one. When I asked another female server for a fork, she gave me a rude look and stared at me in disbelief. I couldn’t help but wonder if she normally eats with her hands instead of using a fork, given how shocked she seemed . After I ordered my drink, the drink menu was just left on my table, and no one came to take it away.

Firstly I apologise to the staff who work hard and do a good job at this restaurant as I don’t like leaving bad reviews. However, I was looking for somewhere to eat yesterday Dec 23 for a nice late lunch. We walked passed the side alley/doorway where a member of staff in full kitchen uniform was smoking a very strong spliff. It stunk. Surely it is a breach of health and safety to have kitchen staff working in a dangerous environment, high on cannabis. I would not trust the food prep of anyone with such poor standards and I think the management needs to address their code of conduct. This is not a cheap restaurant. What someone does in their private life is up to them, but this is not acceptable surely.
