**Disappointed with the experience** I traveled all the way from Leeds to try Honest Burger in Liverpool, only to find the restaurant closed despite it being listed as open on Google Maps. I even tried calling ahead, but no one answered the phone. This was a huge inconvenience, especially after making the effort to visit. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and inaccurate information. It would be great if you could update your hours and be more responsive in the future to avoid disappointing customers like this.

Good burgers, friendly staff and fair prices

Awesome. Visited on a Friday lunch time seated and served straight away. We ordered the Honest beef and the liverpool chicken burger. Cut them in half so we could try half of each. (Would recommend) Both great burgers well seasoned and lots of flavour. The Liverpool had the edge over the honest beef, but both still very good. Both served with the Rosemary salted fries which goes well with the burgers.

Lovely food and quick service! Mint lemonade was so nice as well! The chicken was crispy and juicy. Big portions. Reasonable prices.

Being coeliac it's always hard to find somewhere that caters for gluten free and to find honest burgers where everything on the menu is gluten free is amazing! Had the honest burger and rosemary chips and it blew my taste buds away. Best burger I've had in a long time, will 100% be coming back again

I already liked the burgers from Honest in London and wanted to pick up a couple of the specials for the train back. The service was slow. Waited much more than other people ordering after me. But it was the Euro final and I can understand. Nice people.

Well this was simply superb 😎 Not been to Honest since Bristol in 2020; and I normally avoid Bold Street. So all very uncharacteristic tonight. Still, when the call comes, you answer. I wanted a juicy burger, and this was the chosen one. Not many customers so choice of table. Yay. Turned out my first beer was free too. Also yay. The beer was a local one, Black Lodge Million Spiel. Decent. Smashed burger with rosemary fries, onion rings and dipping gravy. Gorgeous juicy burger, plenty of chips and freshly made onion rings. Superb. The bacon gravy was the star though, thick and rich; everything had to be dipped in the bacon gravy. Everything. I want more bacon gravy now; I’m thinking about it. 🥓 Nice restaurant with bar in the middle; good service. Tables outside as well, but that’s not for me. Will definitely be back here again. Even Bold Street was pleasant today; not too busy, the mood was one of carefree summer. The dance was on. Some sort of food swap going on between Honest and Pho staff. Intriguing. 😸 Two paws up 🙌🏼

Comparing this to both normal and gluten free burgers from around the world, we've agreed these were the best...and that's saying something. Service, menu and drinks were spot on too. All of the items on the menu can be gluten free...even the fried chicken. Well done and thank you

Great food, great service from the team while extremely busy fair play

Burgers are small and nothing special. Service was slow. In addition, they made us tip them. If tipping is mandatory and not optional, they should include the tip in their price list and inform the client about it before they even get into the restaurant

Popped in one evening prior to the Euros semi final. Seated and served quickly. Food was superb, nice sized portions, and good selection of beers. I had the Chicken truffle burger which was excellent, and my partner had the Tribute burger. Again lovely. Plentiful fries, all piping hot and cooked to perfection. Waiting staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Myself and a friend visited Honest Burgers in Liverpool last week. What a meal. We wanted to be local as we were going to the theatre after our meal and my friend is Gluten Free. We asked what they had that was GF and were told everything! My friend was in her seventh heaven. Anyone that is GF knows what a job it can be to eat out and be happy that you are not going to be poorly after a meal that you have eaten having been told that all is well only to be very poorly at a later date. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. We will be back next time we are in Liverpool. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

Gorgeous place with amazing food! My sister who has a gluten allergy she loved it! Amazing place with great service. Very nice waiters. The place is very nice and a nice calm place to be.

Upon revisiting several times, the burgers are good. Consistently. Fries however are horrendous, either saltier than the Dead Sea or burnt to a crisp and refried 10 times over. In store they get it right, if not largely slow, but I've never had a delivery order correct. Disappointed my most recent delivery appeared swimming in a mystery sauce I didn't order for example.

My husband and I ate here on 18/06/2024 and 20/06/2024, it was THAT good! My husband is a coeliac (MUST eat gluten free food) and has to be VERY careful what he eats or he is very poorly. Nearly all of the menu is available gluten free, just by adding a GF bun. My husband had the GF smashed burger on both occasions and I had the ‘Liverpool’ (unique burger to this restaurant) on both occasions. They were both that tasty!!! My husband had the GF Rosemary fries as did I but on the second visit I had the salt and pepper fries. The service was very friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. We would visit here far too much for it to be healthy if we lived nearer!!!!

Staff were friendly didn't had to wait long for the food, loved the open kitchen view good range of alcohol free drinks, the burgers were spot 👌

The food here is amazing time and time again; I could not recommend it enough. There are many great options and there are gluten free buns available and gluten free sides such as onion rings. It is very reasonably priced and service is amazing.

Honest Burgers delivers fantastic burgers cooked to perfection and served alongside flavorful rosemary salt fries, offering a delectable dining experience. This place is my personal top choice for a fantastic burger. You know what you're getting, the burgers are always 10/10.

Not a bad price and included fries unlike some other places. I ordered the smashed, which wasn't smashed at all but It was still a good tasty, juicy burger, served pink like the best burgers should be. The fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned rosemary salt fries that didn't go soggy. The bun didn't fall apart. A plus for me is it's not served with tomato or lettuce. It's served in a metal bowl which is better than the plastic baskets some use. They have a limited menu which is always a good sign, with a local and a national special. Definitely one of the better quality and value burger joints in Liverpool. 8.5 out of 10 from me

I wanted to try a Liverpool burger so I left my luggage at the hotel as soon as I arrived in Liverpool. I was looking forward to the Liverpool Burger based on Google reviews, but was a bit disappointed to see that it was replaced with a chicken sandwich. Still, I wanted to eat Liverpool, so I ordered it and was satisfied with the result! The chicken was really delicious and well-fried and went very well with the cheese and sriracha mayo. The chicken was quite large, so it was a bit difficult to eat, but the flavor of the chicken, bread, and sauce that filled my mouth was the best! This is Honest's third regional signature burger, following King's Cross and Covent Garden in London, and Liverpool wins!

The best burger I've ever had!! Cooked to perfection and that new cheese is incredible! Brilliant service from the staff very attentive, greeted with a warm welcome. I think he was called Sam that served us, he was a lovely man full of smiles. Will continue to eat here, highly recommend!

Really disappointing meal there were hairs in the battered onion rings and also in the one of the chicken burgers. To have this twice in a meal really raises questions about the food hygiene standards.

A friend told me how good this place was but unfortunately I was very underwhelmed by our visit here. The burger itself was nice, I had the chilli burger which was quite small in size. The real issue I had though were the fries. Absolutely hated them, they were like broken bits of fries that were hard. Spent £50 on 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks and really not worth the money. Might have visited on a bad day but doubt I'll go back again.

Great tasting burgers with options for my fussy eaters! Service was great and loved the decor and the vibe, great drinks too! Gluten free and vegan options too! My only comment was The toilets not very clean and in Major need of addressing their standard, they just looked really badly kept.

I absolutely love an Honest Burger! There were 8 of us this time and, as always the service and food was brilliant. Delicious food and fast service. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. I'll be back for more soon!

Hi, Just received an order from Honest burgers. We ordered double smash burger with extra cheese, onions and pickles. Firstly, the food was cold when we received it, stone cold. The delivery was already late by 1h from estimated delivery time which is not the restaurants fault I’m aware. This is what the burger looked like when opening the box. The burger was so burnt it was black and dry. The cheese was cremated to oblivion and absolutely disgusting! I’ve heard so many good things about honest burger but I’m afraid to say that’s not it. Do not recommended!!

Amazing food as expected. Great for gluten free options. We visited while in Liverpool as our local branch in Leeds isn’t open anymore, such a shame as we love Honest Burgers! The photo with the chips is the gluten free smash burger and the photo with the onion rings is the regular smash burger with 2 patties. Both were amazing, just wish we still had an Honest Burgers in Leeds!!

Great tasting burgers and chips, but the onion fries are whatever, just all batter no onion. Really quick service and nice atmosphere.

Really nice burgers, went at lunch and was quiet. Can seem a lot but the food is lovely. Only complaint is a coke is £3, probably the price you would expect when eating out but when it comes in a can, they aren't trying to hide the fact you are getting ripped off!

OK but waited quite a while then the chips were actually fries (not very tasty) and the burger was much, much smaller than alluded to in the photo. Wouldn't return. £28.00 for 2 burgers with fries and ONE lager! I think I had to pay extra for having blue cheese on my burger but it was a miniscule amount and not worth the extra, also it said it would come with red onion and relish and I couldn't see any.

The food here is decent, good value casual food. Great for mates and dates, well seasoned and tasty. The service and management is where this place falls flat, Didn’t have both menu items I chose food and drink, the cutlery was actually scary filthy, clean but clearly not polished. My wings came out 5 minutes before anything else, my chips or anyone else’s food. Drinks just coming to the table as a closed can felt cheap for the price, and no glass. Overall would order online instead if wanting the good again

Decided to try this place because I saw they offered gluten free. One of the best burgers I've ever had hands down.I have to stop myself from visiting or ordering every time I'm in town!

Got a take away all family had burger and chips meal. It was one of those days where all have worked out flat and cooking was not an option. Food delivered and the chips where inedible, hard, crunchy over cooked, dry inside greasy outside, now I know there a side part of the meal but the burger was not worth £15 alone it was burnt and crunchy. Will not be returning

I visited honest burger for the first time ever on Friday evening (we don't have them in ni sadly)....the vegan burger was honestly the best burger I have EVER had in my life. Paired with the rosemary chips..... Oh my life..... I have never enjoyed a meal more. To the point that, I woke up on Saturday and the first thing I thought about, was that vegan burger and chips. Couldn't get it out of my mind, so ended up returning on Sunday for lunch before I flew home! Service was brilliant both times we visited. Even my friend, who isn't vegan, tried a very small amount of my burger (that's all I allowed her to have!), and she agreed it was amazing. The combo of the burger, smoked vegan bacon, smoked vegan cheese, the pickles (which were the best I've ever had!), made it a meal to remember. Now I'm just hoping they decide to open a branch or 15, in Northern Ireland!

Amazing food, not too expensive either. Burgers come pink so if you don’t like that make sure to let them know, rosemary fries were absolutely delicious and i love the local feel, rather than it feeling like a generic chain.

The burger bar is in a busy part of town amongst a sea of eateries. It's a very good solid choice if you are in the market for a convenient, quick, quality bite. The place sells proper real craft ale (reasonably priced cans of local brewed beer) on top of a more standard range. Service is quick and friendly and efficient. The place is clean and fresh looking. While it's above McD's pricing, the burgers are full of taste, with a dizzying array of ingredients and a very full on, delicious taste. The coleslaw is delicious as a side, and I'm a big rotund lad but didn't eat all my chips and felt perfectly replete. There is an automatic 10% service charge added to the bill - I was happy to pay it, but it means you don't need to go fishing in your pocket for extra. I'd give 4.5 marks if I could, and 4 seems certainly too mean. At the end of the day it's a burger, as nice as it is and good value as it is. My only slight criticism was that my chilli burger was a little over salty for my personal taste but then i never add salt to my personal cooking so im probably towards the extreme end of the scale.

Stumbled on Honest whilst looking for something to eat in Liverpool before a music event. Never heard of it before so decided to give it a whirl. The menu caters for most and is so simple; the difficult part was deciding what to try. Went with the honest burger, rosemary salted chips, onion rings (proper battered not the flimsy types you can get) as well as the meat gravy that Honest themselves rave about. All of it was amazing and I would highly recommend. We had two alcoholic drinks and two meals for 41 pound. Quick and polite service. Go try it.

The burger was quite satisfying, although it didn't quite hit the 'amazing' mark. However, it remains a solid pick for anyone in the mood for a burger.

Visited here with my family recently. Service and food was excellent, premises were spotless, tried to tip the staff to be told there was already a service charge levied that I had missed - very honest staff. Would thoroughly recommend.

For someone who's lived in Liverpool for the last 5 years, this was my first visit to Honest Burgers in Bolt Street. I opted for the Teriyaki plant based burger with rosemary salted chips! Well, I could've eaten the whole lot again! Absolutely delicious, andnMADE WITH LOVE! Excellent customer service..... even though the beared guy could've smiled a bit more! The young lady who advised on the burger was charming, charismatic and lovely. I'd highly recommend this place the plant based options were fabulous. I might even go back there again tonight!!

Burgers and fries were excellent, BUT two of our burgers from a party of 5 sat on the counter for over 10 minutes and arrived luke warm. It wasn't even that busy, so I don't know why it was impossible to knock up 5 burgers simultaneously. Oh well....

The cheese burger was lovely which i got with a side of rosemary fries. I added the bacon gravy which complimented the whole meal perfectly. I even dipped the burger into the sauce. I would return next time im in town, the girl serving was also very pleasant which added to my dining experience. Great day.

We went here on New Year’s Day for lunch after being out and shopping with friends. Our friends had their dog with them and it wasn’t a problem to have the dog in the restaurant. We ordered onion rings, coleslaw, and chicken wings for starters. The onion rings were a bit over fried and had too much batter. My husband and his friend were very disappointed with them. So, I can’t recommend them and that’s the reason for the 4 stars for food. However, EVERYTHING else was absolutely delicious! I had the tribute burger with the rosemary chips and I was blown away by the quality of everything. I was a bit sad when I was at my last bite of burger. The fries were perfectly fried and balanced with salt and rosemary. They were delicious and unlike the onion rings not extremely greasy. The wings were very flavorful and despite their appearance had a nice sauce on them added to the bits on top that was added a satisfying crunch to each bite of the wings. I am not a huge coleslaw person but, everyone had some and loved it. It was made with purple cabbage which added a nice pop of color to their plates. I was informing that it had a wonderful taste and texture. Overall I would happily go here again when I am in Liverpool and I want a delicious quality burger that reminds me of home (aka USA) Oh my goodness! How can I forget about the service! As I mentioned, we went on New Year’s Day so, we expected the service to be a bit lacking and food to be a little slow to arrive. But, against all odds, our food came out quickly and our waiter provided us with everything we needed before we even asked him. Though, he could have been giving us everything we needed so we don’t pester him, lol. I choose to believe he was simply the best waiter! He checked on us regularly and as I said anticipated our needs which is exactly what you want. I am looking forward to coming back to Liverpool and enjoying a delicious burger and fries meal again!!

We love Honest Burgers. Having lived in Ealing for several years we became addicted to the great burgers and rosemary salt chips. We were visiting a friend in Liverpool and were keen to share the Honest experience with him. Although the food was still good , we were appalled with the service. The restaurant was quite quiet when we visited but the staff were so inattentive to the point where we had to shout to get their attention on several occasions. We were appalled to be presented with a bill which included a service charge for non existent service. We are regular Honest Burger customers who seek out Honest Burgers in every city we visit and have never experienced such negligent and uncharacteristically poor service from a brand we love. So disappointing!

Booked a table, arrived at 5pm. They quickly took our order and served the drinks. Then we waited & waited, people came in, got their food, ate it & left and still we waited. An hour later they finally got round to serving the food. The food was fine, everything else was a disaster. Won't be hurrying back l.

After some time we returned to this place, same guys, always kind, fast, clean, and everything simple but delicious. We decided to reward it with this review: stop and enjoy their sandwiches!

I'm gonna be HONEST and tell you the truth on my visit on the 18th of december at the Liverpool St branch. I saw that this place was popular on a YouTube channel , so I went for it. I went for the Christmas menu and I got the Honest burger menu with fries and a side with a drink The burger was tasteless whoever was making the burgers, I'm sorry but you should not be working in the kitchen at all. Shame on you ! How is it that the same burger tasted way sweeter than the other one ? The pickles were soggy and tasteless as well . The onion rings were greasy AF .. The only good thing on my plate were the fries with the BBQ sauce . I'm truly disappointed. It's maybe not the place as a whole but just the people in the kitchen. The waiter was also not having it and come over as really moody . I don't need any feedback for this btw

I visited Liverpool this evening and had an excellent experience at Honest Burgers on Bold Street. Sam had great customer service and guided me through the menu, providing helpful recommendations, helping me pick something different off the Christmas Set menu. The gluten-free options were impressive, and the burgers were undoubtedly the best I've had on Bold Street. I highly recommend Honest Burgers, especially for those with gluten-free dietary preferences.

Visited Liverpool today. Went into Honest Burgers on Bold St. The young man that served us was a delight, so helpful and recommended a burger to me. This has to be the best burger EVER that I have had. Meat was so good . Not one ounce of fat. The taste was incredible . If you go try the salt and pepper chips with it. Absolutely amazing.

We love Honest Burgers in Manchester so decided to visit the Liverpool branch. Unfortunately we didn’t have the 5* experience we usually do. We went on a Saturday and it was clearly understaffed. Potato fries were soggy - they’re the best bit of the MCR branch so really disappointed. The burger flavor was delicious as usual but it was served lukewarm. The service I felt was poor and unfriendly, although I think this was due to how busy they were. I’d recommend going on a quieter day to have a better experience.

Burger was outstanding service good but the chips were cold and had been stood a while. Burger and chips but with inedible chips. If the chips had been cooked same time as burger it would have been outstanding but marked it as average because of that which to be fair is the basics of cookery

Not sure about dining in but burgers were cold, buns were stale and the tender bites were burnt to a crisp. Also coleslaw portion was tiny aswell as the brownies. Have a look at the pictures. You can come and get it’s and take it back to the restaurant or it’s going in the bin. One of the burgers was just pure grease and an unedible.

Can't fault it. Was very personal. Not busy at lunch time. We had a brooklyn burger and rosemary fries. Couple of wings to start. What an experience. Food was sublime. If your into an upper class maccies rammed with flavour! Expect a perfect, juicy treat.
