The taste is very average, just Chinese food for foreigners... Who would want to eat spicy hotpot with sweetness! The portions are very small and the boss’s service attitude is also very poor!

Turned away because we had children. Clearly the owner's policy to make but I'll never visit again based on that. Not for me.

Absolutely perfect, this place has unfortunately ruined Chinese food for me, it was so authentic and delicious I felt like I was in an anime movie, with each dish more delicious than the next I will never be able to eat another Chinese meal without thinking of ……HoMe 🥰👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Probably our favourite restaurant in Teddington, and certainly our favourite Chinese restaurant in the area. Amazing food, and friendly service from the owner, Patrick. Cannot recommend Ho Me highly enough, but do recommend booking in advance as it’s only small and almost never has availability for walk-ins. Favourite dishes - Ma La spicy pot, fish fragrant aubergine, and sea salt aubergine!

Never received the order. Had to take up the issue with ubereats. Long process.

A cute and homely local restaurant with the best Chinese food in town. It's small, unassuming and feels like you're dining in someone's front room, but the service is great and the food is even better. BYOB and Cash Only and book well in advance!

Not very flexibility in the number of people that they can accommodate, the owner was not helpful when asked to amend a booking, flatly refused to discuss which led to us having to cancel the booking, we wont be visiting the restaurant again, clearly does not value our business.

What a find, fantastic food, good service, and BYOB. Good prices, really great flavours. It's small but cosy and like being at a friend's house for dinner. Try it you won't be disappointed. Personal favourite was the aubergine salt chilli starter - it was delicious

I'm completely addicted to their spicy beef noodle soup. Very authentic and delicious - especially on a cold winter's day. The homemade noodles are consistently perfect and a real treat! Their prawn toast is my go-to starter - crispy, filled with prawns n delicately seasoned. A few practical notes: 1) cash only; 2) BYOB w corkage fee of £3/pp and 3) booking is essential in the evening, esp Fri-Sun

Service is horrendous! Was craving Chinese food but after being told no strollers allowed (doesn't even tell you where you could leave it) and only bookings, we decided not to bother trying the restaurant again. The restaurant was empty though (hmmm.. I "wonder" why).

First time visiting and I’m so happy I did. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The gentleman who served us was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very calm and homely. If I lived nearby I would be visiting all the time. Hopefully when I’m in the area never time, I can visit again.

I didn’t try the food. I was denied a table because I was alone. This has never happened to me before. The excuse I was given was, “we are a small restaurant, and we need to fill the tables”. I didn’t want to argue with the person on the phone. What about even numbers? What if I want to order more than the average of two people? It is just ridiculous. To the restaurant owner, I would say: educate yourself in the hospitality sector. Single diners tend to order the more expensive items on the menu, don’t stay as long as larger parties, are less demanding, and tip very well. Will never try you again, even with a larger party.

Pretty much a one man show during lunch time but timely and fantastic service. Food is delicious and servings sizes are good.

RUDE and KIDS UNFRIENDLY!! My kid and I were shut out in the rain and told that this restaurant didn’t allow any young kids to enter even I told them I just want to take out.

Very rude and unpleasant proprietor. He has all the customer skills of an empty cardboard box. At least smile when you're taking someone's money. Really puts me off going back although the food was very nice.

Excellent food and service by the owners We were 2 couples and had 4 starters and 4 mains to share - everything was so good that it makes it difficult to pick a favourite I'm looking forward to come back soon

Wonderful little gem of pastorial serenity right off the main street, has strong Studio Ghibli Vibes (and yes I know that is Japanese not Chinese) Beautiful food excellently prepared. Much more than I was expecting!

Was looking forward to an early dinner on Saturday evening to try this restaurant’s offering. Was turned away even though the restaurant was empty with only one couple having dinner. They don’t even offer take away as they don’t have enough time to make it. Nothing to say that you need a reservation. You have lost a potential customer

This restaurant is a gem. I found the owner kind and attentive. Maybe it was his appreciation of my loving his 20 spice sizzling mixed seafood hotpot. I demolished it, by the way. Not a drop remained of the gloriously spiced sauce. This is the best "Chinese" restaurant I have dined at in a while. I shall return again and again to sample its extensive menu. Book in advance though.

False advertisement on Google regarding takeaway. Drove 20 mins to the restaurant, waited for someone over 5 mins to be dismissed rudely. The chef / waiter came out of the kitchen, snatched the menu from my hand with no consideration and told me they are not doing takeaway. Even when you are unable to serve a customer never dismiss the fact that they could have returned. Customer service matters all the time!!! Anyways I went across the road to the Japanese restaurant (Itabashi) where they valued me as a customer and provided perfect customer service.

Run by a husband and wife team. They are always very welcoming. The food has very unique taste, each dish is full of flavour.

On the couple of occasions we have had takeaway, we have loved the food. Duck, prawn toast, spicy hot pot, sweet and sour chicken all yummy. Will definitely be ordering again.

Very rude and abrasive owner who refused to do us takeaway, saying he only does 'early evenings'. No sign of this on his website. Won't be trying again in future.

Takeaway wonton dumplings and spicy pot chicken were great last night. Egg fried rice much lighter style than your typical takeaway. Not quite as great a version as din tai fung but not bad at all!

Decent home cooked style Chinese food - a mixture of Cantonese and Sichuan classics. They need to start accepting cards as cash only is not good for customers.

Everytime I'm in Teddington, I eat here atleast once! Small, but mighty. Very affordable in Teddington's standard, and just great, friendly service. I've seen this place grow and improve over the years, and I'm genuinely happy for them. The food is great, good sized portions and value for money.

Delicious food, much better than your average Chinese take away. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is very nice to sit in. They have quite a few vegan options. The food is always fresh and made of high quality ingredients. Great value for money.

My wife and I had dinner here a couple of months ago. We had high hopes based on the positive online reviews and were not disappointed. Sumptuous prawn toast and calamari were the highlights. We look forward to visiting again to further explore the menu

Amazing little gem in Teddington. Its a bring your own booze place which charges corkage. We purchased soft drinks there and ordered a lot of food to share. Food was really incredible. Fresh and cooked with love. Its a 2 person team with Patrick serving and his wife cooking so it can be a bit slow but honestly, its well worth it! Its a very small place with only a few tables and you have to book. If you are in Teddington you need to try!

Went for a lunch today (3 of us), food absolutely superb, although the main courses did not all come together it was well worth the weight as the food is clearly fresh and home made. Great value for money and definitely going back again soon. Would be good to see the evening menu published somewhere to see what they do differently in the evening. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Such a brilliant little Chinese restaurant, all of the dishes we had were absolutely delicious and we loved the service! Try the aubergine with minced pork, I couldn't believe how nice the crispy pieces of aubergine were! Bring your own alcohol a great plus point too. Very well priced. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Service, very traditional so dont expect overly kindness but I found the staff very nice and respectful. The food and music is wonder at a great price for portion. I would say this is my favourite Chinese place yet. It is very different to the typical pick bits and bobs greasy Chinese food.

I have categorically stated that I do not like Chinese food and went to HoMe under duress. How WRONG was I. The food is fantastic and the price does not reflect the quality and passion of the cooking. I had to eat my words, along with the slendid cuisine! 8 of us shared dishes across the menu and not one disappointed. Fantastic food Lovely chilled atmosphere Friendly, helpful, passionate owners. And to boot BYO I will be back.

Lovely restaurant with a great cosy atmosphere. The husband and wife owners are so friendly and the food and service is the best. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty Chinese food. As for the Daniel Jhon review...something suspicious when he also rates every other place in Teddington as 1-star (Fallow Deer...really!?), apart from Diners Delight which just happens to be directly opposite HoMe??? Funny that.

This place is amazing. Great menu. Beautifully crafted homemade food. Lovely, kind and attentive owners. One of those perfect gems you find once in a blue moon.

Not your typical takeaway Chinese, HoMe is a small restaurant run by a warm husband and wife team, service is slow, but it is well worth it for the fantastic food and great atmosphere.

We have had a couple of meals in HoMe since it opened and have been extremely impressed both times. All the dishes we have had have been delicious, I would highly recommend this to smaller groups of diners looking for a different Gastro experience to most Chinese restaurants.

This is no average Chinese, the food is delicious and the menu varied. Byo which I always handy and the corkage is very reasonable.

Owner is lovely. Food is delicious. I eat here about once every two weeks and the lunch menu changes very often, the food is varied and i haven't had a bad dish! Love it!
