Do not waste ur money on this absolutely awful chippy not only is the food disgusting but so are the staff , worst doner meat I’ve ever tasted total waste of money

On Good Friday (after getting onne or two supplies for the Easter weekend) I decided tp have a potion of chips whilst waiting for my bus home. Whist the chippy was clean and the lady who served me was friendly and I had a decent sized portion - the chips were a bit on the dry side, maybe they were being kept warm a nit to long.

Been using these guys since we moved up to crindledyke. Really fast and cheap delivery compared to everyone else. 1st time I've been delivered the wrong take away. Easy mistake, cheese instead of gravy. No big deal... Called them to explain, they delivered another fresh order really quickly, literally faster than my wife could eat her extra chips and cheese! Can't fault them, worth a try 👍

My son and I were treated like fools. Charged for plastic cutlery we didn’t ask for. Charged for ketchup (which I understand) but wasn’t given salt or vinegar on the chips as requested. As you now have to wait outside the shop you are a bit at their mercy. Dishonest people but life goes on.

Got a black pudding supper from here and was surprised to see it going into microwave before getting dipped into batter,up most of night bringing it back up and older lady in there was not interested in working there, attitude was terrible. Would not recommend this place

I had haggis and chips and my friend had fish and chipe all was well cooked the batter was delisious and didnt cost an arm and a leg Food is cooked to order

Know serving beautiful pizzas and with great staff this is a must visit for all your takeaway nedds,always delivered on time every time and the best pizzas in town,cheers dave

Called in for pizza in the evening and was so good went back the next night Absolutley delicious made fresh by a lovely friendly man and served by an equally friendly lady serving..having come from Blackburn wish we had that takeaway there but then again not a good idea as i would be there all the time!!

First of all great staff, very welcoming, been here quite a bit and always had nice food however on this occasion I decided to go for cumberland sausage chips and gravy, chops and gravy was nice but the sausage definitely wasn't cumberland, extremely bland and it tasted more like a vegi sausage extremely dry and tasted of herbs, would not recommend the cumberland from here

I visited Home & Away with two friends after watching Carlisle United v Cambridge United at Brunton Park. I popped in to get my usual ‘just chips’ before the last train home. I’ve eaten chips all around Europe, but these were some of the best that I’ve ever had - très bon! I’ll be back for ‘one more’ portion again next time to warm the cockles of my heart.

Fish butty was nice but the lass serving it debatedly not so. Just needs some basic manners and a slightly friendlier tone

Great atmosphere, great fish and chips, humour, great value and accessible to train station where our train had been cancelled. Well done!

Went here for a quick suasage supper, staff were friendly and prices are good, but these were some of the worst chips I've had in long time. Pale, soggy, greasy and under-cooked. Sausage was ok. But I can't over look how bad the chips were.

Great fish and chips. Made in front of me so tasted fresh and delicious and all of this for only a fiver. Worth a visit.

What's happened to this place? Used to be the go to place for great chips. The past few times we've been the chips have been oily and tasteless. The battered sausage was very nice. But a chippy lives and dies by the quality of their chips - and this place has lost its way. Always friendly service. Reasonable prices. Let down by the standard of their chips. Years ago people would come from Sheffield just to go here - as they were the best in town - doubt they come now - they're not in the top 5 in Carlisle. Such a shame.

Visited here on a quick visit to Carlisle. The shop is a few minutes from the train station. The food was lovely, huge portions, excellent value!

This was one of the freshly made and best chippy, in my opinion, to have had. The batter wasn't soggy nor too floury. The fish was not dry either but cooked to almost perfection. The service was second to none. Well done!

El 25 de julio de 2017, visité casa. Me había pescado y patatas fritas con unos trozos de pasta para llevar. Total de 5 libras. 00. Tengo que esperar a que el pescado recién preparado para mí, así que sabía que tendría que estar fresco. Una señora y caballero había visto el bateador o restos como Algunos los llaman, y dijo que se había no eran gratis apuesta en estos días. Pregunté si eran libres, y me dijeron que eran. Me pidieron algunos y conversamos con la pareja sobre cómo el pescado y patatas fritas utilizada para probar mejor cuando comido fuera de prensa. Ah, para los viejos buenos tiempos. Yo siempre visitar Casa y cuando quiero pescado y patatas fritas mientras en Carlisle. Por calidad y precio, son inmejorables.

When we arrive by train, this is our first thought for good food. Today we both had haggis and chips and the haggis was best we have ever tried. Service is excellent and friendly and prices reasonable. We shall return.

I have been going to this fish and chip shop for years, every visit to be truthful. You'd have to go a long way to better this place

my partner and I called for a bite after a day out drinking. staff friendly , place spotless. food fresh and tasty. white fish, crunchy batter. will be calling again after a night out.

Very good chippy very close to the station and whether you go at lunchtime or late at night the chips are the best in town and there is a great choice of food on offer

Got the battered haggis freshly cooked and another meal was the chicken pie both with small chips as t portions are very large. Never been to Carlisle before but worth returning purely for the haggis even on a rainy day.

Nice little fish & chip shop with a couple of tables inside, and open on a Sunday. Great chips, tasty Cumberland sausage and friendly service. What more do you want?

We have eaten here many times when arriving at Carlisle station. You can eat inside or take away. We have had Haggis and Chips, and Fish and Chips. Both are always excellent. A basic chip shop but good at what it does.

this is one of the best of many chip shops in the town centre and allways delivers good quality across the board on all its food and there are seats inside if you want to eat in although only 3/4

I called here on Friday 11th March 2016 at roundabout 1:45pm. I ordered fish and chips and a can of coke. There are 3 tables and 3 chairs, and I sat at one to eat my meal. I had a generously sized portion of chips and a fair sized piece of fish which was cooked to perfection. In my opinion, this is the best chippy in Carlisle.When I was a child, fish and chips were served wrapped in newspaper. I always felt that they tasted better in those days, but that's progress.

Visited home and away with a group of mates whilst on a recent trip out of Carlisle station. Have visited many times before and this place is fantastic. Haggis and chips is great and their curry sauce is excellent as well. The Haggis does take 8-10minutes to cook however that is no issue as the food here is great. Well priced and good value for money. I hope to be back in the summer.

Stopped of here to pick something up before a long journey. Right by the station excellent food and cheap as well. A small wait for the food but worth it! Will certainly be back.

This is by far the best chip shop in Carlisle. Staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Great central location. Really good quality food.

This little fish and chip shop doesn't look anything from the outside but the fish and chip meal we had was the best I have had for a very long time, the cost was reasonable and the staff were friendly.

Excellent chip shop on the edge of the high street. The best chips and their potato patties are a strange yet wonderful creation lol. I would recommend here for a nice quick meal or just a drunken bag of chips at the end of the night.

Been to this fish n chips shop a few times when in Carlisle got to say lovely food served by lovely staff and the manager always has a few words to say keep up the good work can't wait to go back mmm

Friendly service and excellent food without fail every visit. The fish is especially good and you cant beat cheese chips and gravy from home and away on a night out.
