First it is open to non-members. We were able to request the components of our breakfasts. Basically my wife prefers bacon, and I prefer sausages. Everything came freshly prepared, well cooked, and thoroughly enjoyable. A nice touch was my wife’s coffee had space for the milk, as requested; whereas I requested black, and it had been topped up with hot water. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet, we were the only ones. However our experience was exploratory to find a place we could recommend for a breakfast to forthcoming visitors to Trearddur Bay. It filled the bill.

Parked as near we could to a flight of about 20 steps leading to a sloping terrace and the entrance to the restaurant, all the parking spaces closer to the steps were earmarked for club officials. Once inside everything was excellent, other than our booking had been put in the diary for 3 days ahead and we were not expected

My wife and I have eaten twice at Braids this week- first time for lunch- the food and service was excellent. On the strength of that we went for a meal with family and three of us ordered the rib eye steak. Disappointed to say that despite asking for the steaks to be cooked medium they came out rare and sadly rather inedible. We pointed it out to the very helpful lady who served us and she spoke to the chef who apologised but said it was difficult to judge how to cook it that way. Not quite the response I expected to be honest and the bill wasn’t adjusted. Nice surroundings and very pleasant staff so we will probably go back but won’t order the steak!

We had a lovely full English breakfast with great views over the golf course. Really good service and coffee! There are a number of places not doing breakfast at the moment in Trearddur so this was a real find.

We played golf at holyhead golf course on tuesday. The nice committee man mentioned the bistro nights they have on friday and Saturdays. We booked in and checked it out. What a great decision. The food was amazing. Menu and specials was great. Plenty of choice. Will definitely be back.

Second time I have been to Holyhead golf club for afternoon tea and again it was just right. Great choice of freshly made sandwiches and cream cakes with the option of Earl Grey tea too! Theakstons draught mild on tap is tasty and one of my favourite pints. Food and teas all served on fine china cups, saucers and plates which add to the feel of old times. Staff are really friendly and the view overlooking the golf course is great! 4 very happy customers who will definitely be returning. Phone and book in advance so the staff are aware of your visit. Thanks again Holyhead Golf Club

We enjoyed some fresh paninis at the cafe and the coffee was brilliant. The best part was the cookie pie that we give 10/10, the sweet treats were on another level. Fabulous quality and really friendly staff🧁The perfect pit stop after a coastal walk.

Terrible food and service, Paid £20 for two breakfast to takeaway at van on pentreath stretch, and didn't get everything that should of been in breakfast box and sent message to let them know whats missing and was told ( we had run out of mushrooms that's why they wasn't in the box... ) and I said I understand that places can run out but should tell people before paying and leaving with what thought should be everything, and she opened message and ignored me so I left it to following day for reply but nothing and still spoke with such attitude and saying having mushrooms missing from breakfast etc doesn't warrant refund enjoy your day as if to end of conversation. no apology and not letting me know beforehand could have changed things. but she doesn't care just wants money. Definitely not worth paying £20 for two sloppy breakfast and raw cheap sausages, will be going eles were everywhere else you get alot more for money and don't get spoken to like that and can actually have proper coffee and not in folding cardboard lids that burnt myself while drinking but she didn't care for either.

Very unsure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the place. I had a breakfast bap(sausage and bacon) expected one of each but there was 2 of each plus they swapped the egg for mushrooms so even better. I left the place really full and happy. Will definitely be going again
