Holiday Inn in Newcastle-under-Lyme

WOW…. We visited this hotel as we went to the fireworks at Alton Towers. From the check in by Samir, really efficient and also fantastic service the following morning at breakfast, special mention to Katherine as well, nothing was too much trouble… seriously, thank you and John the chef (HASH BROWNS) and poached eggs you know what I mean!!! Finally a special mention to Muhammad (Mo) from our evening meal… we were on the last minutes and he made us feel at ease delivering exemplary service and really stood out with Viktoria, his partner in crime!! ALL the staff gave a wonderful ’nothing is too much trouble’ attitude and really made our stay a 10/10. Please pass on our feedback as they were all FANTASTIC 💕

Peter, the manager and Katherine, a member of staff could not have been more attentive and were both an excellent example of hospitality in the dining room and generally. Highly recommended place to stay! We will be back.

Decor good staff very helpful but the room & bathroom are very small. We are in an executive room so am not sure what a standard room must be like? I shudder to think. Larger adults would struggle to use the facilities in the bathroom!! We won’t return.

I have been a regular of the hotel for many years.. I’ve seen a lot of change and not always for the better, but I have to say that the staff in the restaurant are great. Especially Jayne.. she is always very pleasant, extremely friendly and polite. Nothing is ever to much trouble. I’ve watched her and shes the same with everybody. So Thank you for everything you do Jayne.

steak was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent ,not expensive and nice surroundings.we used a gourmet card deal which made the prices even better.

Great stay and staff brilliant. Accommodated us by serving breakfast early and Millie in particular is a credit to the company.

Chef was helpful for our gluten free needs, the regular menu was varied and good as was the children's menu. The children loved the food.,

I parked at this hotel and the car park was empty. My colleague and I had a meeting on the outside terrace on which there were no signs stating that the car park was operated by parking eye collecting monies from unsuspecting guests. The manager responded as he does to all of these complaints with the same cut and paste answer. Shameful act on the part of the hotel and an insincere response from the Manager

Some Romsey are on the small side so be sure not to get one numbered in double digits. Food ok but curry buffet extremely disappointing. Slow to replenish items and that needs to be sorted.

Nice relaxing restaurant after an exciting day at Alton towers, 30 mins ride from the attraction just off the M6. Food was buffet style with plenty of fresh salads and cold plates starters and five choices for the mains. Children ate free with a paying adult. Really good service at a nice price

Had a business meeting with an associate and had a couple of cups of coffee. 08-03-17 29-3-17 receive a parking notice for £100.00 that has to be paid by 31-03-17. No doubt wiil get a standard response form the hotel. SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Will never be back at this hotel again and I am now boycotting all Holiday Inns.

Booked here for a Christmas party. We were taken through to the function room on time and it was very cosy. There were only 3 tables of people but at least it was manageable. The staff were very friendly. The food arrived quickly and it was lovely, thoroughly enjoyed it. Was a bit disappointed that the function room was a conference room and so we had to walk out and along a corridor to get drinks but it was all inclusive and all we had to do was take our empty wine bottle to the bar and they replaced with a full one. The night was very enjoyable and would definitely do this again. The music was good and the venue was clean and well kept.

Hotel offered a £25 three course dinner with drinks from the bar. I did not realise that Tuesday is Steak night so was able to grab a superb fillet steak for main course. Service was excellent and food good. Highly recommended

My husband and I ate in the hotel restaurant during a recent stay.We both had the chicken and pancetta pie which was very tasty and well presented.We just shouldn't have had a starter first,as it was a large helping,so we couldn't finish it!

Situated just off the M6 at Junction 15 this is a convenient stop for a light lunch while travelling - which is what we did. We chose from the bar menu - it's fairly limited in choice but fine for sandwiches and the like. The sandwiches come with a salad garnish and crisps - a little expensive but not too bad considering it is a hotel lounge. Seems to be very popular for business meetings. Staff are friendly and helpful. Note that a 10% service charge is applied.
