Food taste like it's done quickly. Bit expensive. Feels rushed. Not bad though

Use to be really good years ago I don’t know what happened was in the area decided to get some hockwell ring Chinese for nostalgia purposes and it’s just not like it use to be

This used to be my favourite place for Chinese takeaway every Friday but the quality has dropped so much over the last 2 years. The last order was so bad I had to throw it away. I called to inform them and they offered me a free meal to compensate but it was so unappetising, I refused and just found a new spot. The staff are usually nice and welcoming but food quality could be greatly improved!

We have always enjoyed food from this chippy but unfortunately today we had 2 pies that were definitely off.

I ordered my Chinese at 17.15pm Monday evening g 26th December it's now 19.36pm and I've not recieved mmy chinese yet. I spent 21.90 I have tried to call but no answer. This is disgraceful.

Food was cold , I asked the owner to replace my order £ 36 worth , basically refused and she called me a liar , would never use them again , very unprofessional on the phone

Erghh !!! This place is disgusting i got a noodle box hated it couldnt eat more than two mouthfuls so i decided to get a chicken curry straight after was served frozen chicken chunks and undercooked rice that had no flavour would strongly advise to stay clear of this place

Believe the reviews about soggy and undercooked chips (they need at least another 2 mins cooked) First and last time buying chips from here!

Staff were pleasant but the food wasn’t great. Chips were soggy and undercooked, battered sausage was cold and fish had the taste of definitely not being very fresh.

Came in to get a portion of chips lady was behind till eating her food attitude wasn’t great. Chips were cold and under cooked and some slightly hard. Won’t be going here again.

We try this place for the first time and we are little dissappointed. After reading so many good review we was expecting very good food but what we got was just little under average food. We order small munchy box. Comparing what you get for the price is good but the box taste very greasy. Everything is deep fried and the more you eat the more grease you can taste. The next we order chicken and house special chow mein. Both chow mein taste good the only food we actually really enjoyed. After we try honey chilli chicken nuggets which where okey, very saucey not very spice and dry chicken and so the same our crispy shredded beef with carrots and chilli. All fried chicken dishes taste very dry more like redeep fried not fresh. We order lot food and all was ready in more then 10 minutes. Over all this place is okey food. Not the best chinese food in luton. Also we get free drinks and prawn crackers. Good for spending over £30 but you cant chose your free drinks which is not the best.

Ordered the small munchy box yesterday and was easily 10/10. Food was hot upon delivery and tasted great. There was even enough for leftovers the next day. Will be ordering again.

I would give 0 stars but I can’t. I placed an order tonight asking for SPECIAL chow mein (dry) and they sent a wet chow mein. I called the shop to ask them to swap it and the shop owner told me it was my fault because I selected the wrong chow mein online. Please note; the website does not differentiate between which of the special chow meins is wet and which is dry. I’ve been ordering from new rainbow for 20 YEARS, and the one time I asked for a swap, the manager was rude and shut down the idea of sending another one. She was awful and told me it was my fault, even though the website does not tell you which chow mein is which? I genuinely will never be ordering again. For the sake of £5, this shop has lost life long customers. I’m genuinely disgusted with how the owner spoke/shouted at me and didn’t care to try and resolve a problem that wasn’t our fault.

Haven't been in a very long time, thought I'd give it another try. So glad I did staff friendly and attentive. Bit of a wait for my food but didn't mind as it was hot and fresh. Good portion sizes. Will definitely return again

This place is amazing. The Fish & Chips was perfect and we couldn't stop ordering.

Sour sauce was a per person set long with toast pastry and Chinese noodles. do with prawn crackers for festivity

The takeaway is well worth the search and effort to find. It is regarded as one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the area.

Delicious food, great flavour, good portions. The new machine that takes your order is very accurate and easy to use. My only concern is it shows ALL YOUR DETAILS as you put in your card information to pay. There should be a way to hide your 3-digit CVC at least with dots/stars or use of contactless. It's not really a private setting so anyone can see. Best use cash but still, its time they caught up with the rest of the world.

always refried they would not get away with this if it was not in a poor area the worst food i ever had bad bad bad just look at how many other people say the same and why all the positive reviews have no thumb up smell something fishy and its not the fish

After getting the order wrong i was given dry re-fried chips #re- fried will never use again. not the first time its happened dont use unless you like crusty chips. how can you get chips wrong lol

Love the lemon chicken without pineapple due to allergies and egg grid rice.

so far good, once i purchased fish from there and it had bone that got stuck in my neck

DISGUSTING!!! Would NOT eat from here again,there food was disgusting and the have now respect for there customers.later on that day i found out that they got closed down before for food hygeine. I think they SHOULD be closed down again!!!!

Absoluty disgusting will NEVER EVER EAT here again. Just brought chips to get home and bin them for sure they are from last night and warm them a bit. I could brike someone head with them. A star is to much as the lady that serves you is yelling and so rude ( if you don't like your job just don't do it) she just f...ked my day complity. A disgrace

Food wasnt realy nice ,to much vinegar. And i mean really to much. Chicken was much more dry then usuall . Didnt like it at all. Dont knownwhy but food get worse. Hope will get back as it was before. Atm can't leave positive opinion.

The chips were actually a disgrace to chip shop chips. Dry, lifeless and hard. The fish was passable. Overall, never going back and would hate to think what other things on the menu taste like.

Utter shite. Used it sporadically over the past few years and I always vow to never return. The last time I went in there I didn't actually purchase anything. As soon as I saw the chips I cancelled my order. They looked as if they had been swept off the floor and the trips out the back didn't fill me with joy. All in all absolutely shocking.

I ordered here before and am 100% certain they gave me second hand chips from a cancelled order.. Bastards didnt even try to make it look like they cooked them fresh they just went in the back and i saw they picked up an old batch of chips. Then another customer came in and they told them 10 mins for chips which means they were cooking a new batch for them. Customer service is terrible and could hear the chef spitting.. Lord knows that i did not complain however as I love Chinese people no matter how much of a douche they are.. I mean.. they will rule the world soon don't cha know.

I used to love this chippy. Now i use happy friend. They use to make brilliant chips, now under new hands. They re fry their chips after hours of sitting there cold. Too much oil is used and makes it hard to eat, i would not reccomend. I eat at this place every month for 6 years and now after years of devotion i have moved to a bee chippy.

Avoid the saveloys they're dry mine ended up in the bin burgers not too bad biggest problem with this takeaway is the difference in price that I've been charged for had Chinese chicken balls egg fried rice etc went in two days later ordered exactly the same but was charged an extra £2 so canceled my order and went elsewhere have also been charged extra for less food!! Wanted chicken chow mein but without bean sprouts and veg and was told id have to pay extra left and ordered online staff could also do with learning some people skills as I've found a couple to be bit ignorant also make sure before you leave that you have all the food you actually ordered I ordered and was charged for prawn crackers got half way home and realised they hadn't put them in so went back and they had the nerve to charge me again!! Have avoided the place ever since
