I can’t believe this place hasn’t been closed down for the kind of food it serves. Unsure if it’s suitable for human consumption. Definitely not Turkish at all, the bread was stale, the salad was nothing less than a week old with slime on the cucumbers and the meat had a horrible smell. Don’t waste your money, as their food is likely to make you sick.

Very bad service, ordered on uber eats a chicken adana meal, it was meant to come with a drink, bread, sauces , salad but it didnt come with that. I tried calling then and they dont pick up….This place must be a joke. The bread, sauces and drink came 1 hour 30 minutes later, with a burst drink all over , and the container was half opened not sealed properly !! VERY BAD PRESENTATION , could be better tbh. NEVER ORDERING AGAIN FROM THIS PLACE.

I ordered through Ubereats from them. Half of the order is missing. Main course is rubbish because salad, caciki, sauces are missing, drinks are missing. I'm unable to put up a wrap roll. I have been calling the restaurant for 1 hour!! They dont care picking up phones at all. Phone is ringing freely. By this time chips is cold and rubbish too. It is impossible to call the delivery man too, and also Ubereats. If they don't return my money for the main meals I go to citizen advice, 100%. It was a fault to order from them, and they failed our night.

Order the mixed shawarma meal.. arrived over cooked, more like burnt ends with more resemblance to beef jerky, except beef jerky isn't as dry! Couldnt even tell what mest it was meant to be. So disappointed, it also arrived cold. Now having issues with ubereats to get a refund. Avoid. This restaurant used to be lovely, not sure whats happened.

Disgrace to Istabul.. i have had many grills but never had such an awful taste before... the meat was dried as it was 5 days old.. the salad was dead like 10 days old. Threw everything in the bin.. not even a dog will eat this food. Never again will order from here.. pls take Istabul grill name from this place .. it is diagrace to Istanbul. It is not authentic Turkish food.. it is frozen boiled chicken... food is AWFUL...Do not risk ordering from here, nothing but waste of money and full disappointment. If you are hungry and desperate for food , have some water and bread than to order food from ISTANBUL GRILL. I threw £130 in the bin. Never left a review like this before, but i am so angry and frustrated and can't get over these people.

Worst ever don't order, they got options with deals on the Uber eats website buy 1 get 1 free but they don't send you the free platter and when you call them they say you need to chose whether you want the free deal why do you get a deal if you don't want it!!! Very tricky in ripping people off, the portions are super small half a chicken platter contains like 2 chicken strips worth of chicken and a little bit of rice maybe 3 table spoons max soo bad

Was supposed to get a Shawarma Wrap. I don't know what this is supposed to be but coming from Egypt, this is NOT IT! No onions, peppers, seasoning. Looks like boiled chicken with a few pieces of raw onion flung on top. Also just gave a piece of pizza. It should be proper naan or aysh style bread. Not this.

Starting with the positives, I got it delivered and it was on time. I was happy to see that the portion was good and food wasn't expired. The problem was the food was Luke warm and dry - mixed Adana meal - chips were cooked maybe a few hours prior (not fresh at all), the chicken and meat were Dry too. So everything seems to be made hours prior and it wasn't fresh at all. Couldn't finish it and sauce wasn't enough with it being dry unfortunately. Hope fresher food is made next time, if that takes an extra 30 minutes that's fine.

Ordered the lamb chops meal and it looks and smells awfull. The lamb isn’t cooked and had a terrible taste and smell . The chips and rice were very bad too .my house is all smelly now omg very very bad 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Last night we take away the food from this restaurant… old food which they reheat, no taste, no presentation. Overall pathetic food and bad idea to eat from this place.

I ordered from Istanbul grill 3 times via Uber eats and all 3 times I had Diarrhea. The previous 2 orders i blamed myself for consuming something else but now its confirmed that its the food from this restaurant. Please please restrain ordering from Istanbull Grill

Ordered food on uber .buy 1 get 1 free deal.on Friday night.ordered mixed swarma meal. And drink. Which includes 2 meals foe one deal. Driver was quick and superb.but only got 1 meal. And it was stone cold.felt like yesterday's meat.dry cold no flavour.phoned the restaurant but manager said no deals on uber.that they changed it. Which on plain sight all deals were on uber still as buy 1 get one free.the manager was rude and non negotiable. Will never go back to restaurant or deliver food from there.

Ordered Shawarma chicken and chips through Uber eats app. As soon as I opened the box there was fishy smell wafted on my face. The colour of the chicken was greenish grey and really old chicken reheated. Ruined the whole dinner and wasted good amount of money. Complained to uber eats but they just ignored our complaint.

I cant even give this take away one star, I ordered for my staff a huge take away, the presentation had been awful humorous and vine leaves olive oil all thrown in together the meat had been dried out it seemed like it had been yesterdays meat. when leaving the store staff would not even open the door. My staff work very hard and I wanted to treat them, worst mistake. When I tried to call to complain no one would pick up the telephone. DO NOT ORDER SO SO BAD !!!!!!!!

Often we are very disappointed with the quality of the meat! it shows that the meat is not fresh because it is very dry and hard and sometimes we have had diarrhea after eating the food! I want it give this place a minus star review..!! Food was awful.. dry meat dry chicken overcooked everything.. my family broke our fast with this and make our tummy upset! Salad is like they run out.. measly small portion on an order for £50 is unbelievable! Worst driver for deliveries - slowest ever food arrived cold. Called take away, they said they don't deliver :) just a joke. DONT DO IT!!!!

As it was the first day of Ramadan 2022 we decided to treat ourselves with a take away, little did we know that we should have just cooked at home. The food was awful, even though it is called Istanbul Grill there is nothing turkish or middle eastern about it. We ordered the special, everything was covered in curry powder and the rice was just basmati rice with onion. They gave us 4 containers of salad which could have been put into 1. Our goal is to waste as little food as we can because there is people out there suffering but it tasted so so bad we couldn't bring ourselves to eat it . We couldn't even bring ourselves to eat it. The lamb was fatty and chewy. The chicken was dry and flavourless. The only thing decent was the bread but even that went soggy because of all the steam. We got 50% off online and even then the food was still a waste of money.

Hardly an authentic Turkish, ordered a Chicken Shawarma. To our surprise what was delivered was anything but. My Turkish partner was not impressed. Cold greasy chips, the chicken had less flavour than cardboard. I was expecting it to be in a wrap like a Shawarma typically would be, however a sponge (bread) was used instead. If this was present during the sinking of the Titanic Rose and Jack would of been just fine. Had a feeling the price of £12 for 2 whole meals was a red flag. Would definitely not recommend.

Ordered big box platter which was on offer buy one get one free. The food came cold and uncooked, even smelt funny. Didn't enjoy threw most of the food in the bin. Food has always been of good quality and delicious, good portions and very nicely packed which was also warm when the orders were delivered to my home. Most importantly the staff member has been very helpful in answering my questions on allergens which I'm extremely grateful for. And that is why I repeatedly order from Istanbul Grill!

Placed a order waited 30 minutes to be told they ran out of chicken shawarma and decided to change my whole order. Had to wait another 15 minutes to replace the chicken shawarma. Service is really poor.

I ordered a chicken shawarma, what is this?! On top of giving me curry chicken and lamb you gave me the worst falafel ever. Why is it so dry throughout. Regret it.

Updates to my old review Once the management has had changed the quality, quantity and the taste of the food has horribly changed to become awaful I wasn't pretty sure so i visited it again but I regret doing that You are going pay at least 15-20 GBP for a poor quality, smaller amount and very far away from the Turkish taste It became pretty much similar to the widely distributed asian restaurants allover luton If you are seeking for a Turkish grill or a traditional arabic foods so visiting "Istanbul grill" would be your last option to think off

Absolutely horrific! Got charged £11.90 for a box standard lamb donner and chips. Menu stated char grilled donner, guy gave me frozen donner and had the cheek to argue with me. Will not be going back there again! Money well wasted! Oh and it's cheaper to order online!

Decent food and affordable however the decor is really poor not inviting at all.Looks dirty and not well maintained unfortunately. No pictures of the food, no menus available on display.Does not look like Turkish food at all.Staff worked hard trying to serve good tasty food but they do not seem supported by management which is a shame.

I ordered through Uber and unfortunately when my order came , only 2 swarmas came instead of 4. I thought this must be an error and called them with no response. My husband then went to find out what’s happened . To show them a picture of what we actually received. Unfortunately the customer service my husband received was disgusting, and said it was nothing to do with them and take up with Uber. But the fact that I had ordered at 2pm for this to arrive at the time of breaking our fast at 8.37pm. The point was that we were not able to fully open our fast as half items missing. I certainly will never be ordering through this restaurant that provides no customer service.

Bought a mixed kebab take out for my daughter and I she only live 2 mins from the place came home food was cold, miniscule poor looking salad and meat very dry and some over cooked, would buy again.

Ordered through Uber eats and was given. PLAIN WHITE RiCE, dry peri peri meat no sauce on top. Nasty wet salad (threw it in the bin) and was charged £12.80 each. Also uber don’t want to refund me for the terrible service so yeah. One star. Garlic sauce is s...t hot sauce taste like water and looks like diarrhoea. If you could post pictures on here id let the images do the talking. AVOID!!!

I absolutely love this restaurant especially because they have an amazing offer of if you spend £20 or more your bill is half price. This place has delicious Turkish food and the portions are extremely generous. They have a delicious salad and amazing garlic and chilli sauces. Anyone that loves meat, but a milder version should definitely order a takeaway from this restaurant in the current pandemic. The portions are so huge that they last us at least 2 days and remain fresh. I would highly recommend the hummus, mixed grill, chicken burgers, rice and chips. An excellent amazing experience all round and now we have definitely become regular customers!

Absolutley shocking, we ordered chicken shawarma came with chicken full of bones and one chicken shawarma and chips missing. When we called back they wouldnt answer at first and when they picked up they just left the phone on the side without replying at all. Very uncooked chicken aswell.

1st time we have ordered from here.Have to say the food was Amazing the homemade bread, the rice and meats were just so succulent.Worth every penny. We ordered the mixed platter. Definitely be ordering again. Thank you for a delicious meal.

The vibe was a little dead. Didn't have the grill chops available. Not participating in the eat-oyut scheme. Food was average but the chips were really tasty. Will I visit again? Not any time soon.

Standard has fallen. It used to be a nice restuarant, but not anymore. I was a regular customer since 2013. The last time i ate there 21/7/2019 from the first bite, I knew i have wasted my money. Is not value for money anymore😏

He use to be good food before running by Turkish now new management and not anymore HMC the sticker still in the window but no HMC certificate aproval by HMC and the quality of food are descusting no quality guy's better you go to pizza domino or Mc Donalds 😞 am telling the true.....

Although the meat was great tasting, we found that the diced lamb was really chewy. I ordered additional sweet potato fries and seasoned fries but was disappointed. The sweet potato fries were soft and undercooked, the seasoned fries were not very seasoned and they also were undercooked. Took 1 hour and 30 mins to receive the order after placing it. On the plus side the food arrived hot.

Food wasn’t late as the predicted delivery time was just outrageous. Over £60 worth of food, a 90 plus minute wait and still charged £2 to deliver is ridiculous. Also the food arrived with spillages everywhere, burnt meat, Lahmacun was so expensive and nothing like a traditional version. They were awful! Won’t order from here again. Absolute con!

Disgusting food, looks like it was collected for whole day from old plates... salad? Two pieces of lettuce and onion... never. Full boneless chicken was in a size of small turtle. Absolutely Terrible!! Please avoid this place. The meat smells, the food is tasteless and I have never had such bad so called Turkish food. I threw 90% of my food away!! When mentioned to the owner he laughed it off and seemed very arrogant. Worst Turkish food I have had and I used to go here regularly,I was advised new management took over 6 months ago. Definitely one to avoid: Threes a Turkish place in Dunstable called Effe's (Highly recommended). Further two also in town centre (Toprak and Chargoal grill) P.s. the bread they serve is pitta bread and not TURKISH BREAD.

So firstly I was given an estimated time as to when my order would be ready but I never actually received an update from the restaurant to say my food was ready , I had to call them. I ordered the chicken shawarma with rice & 1/4 chicken with rice. The prices are portion sizes are great but the food literally tasted of a cardboard box. The very mild chilli sauce had more flavour to it. The rice was very chunky and tasted of literal brown bread, the BONELESS chicken had many bones in there. Over all it was just vile , honestly the best thing about the meal was the pitta bread. I will never order / eat from here again 🤢

Very rude manager he told me can't take you order now because we are busy and I have to wait 30min, I looked around just 6 people in the restaurant. This place will close down very soon, good luck
