Ordered a take away via this Chinese restaurant’s app. Have eaten twice before and salt and chilli munchy boxes were decent. Tonight we placed a worth over £40 and everything we received was disgusting. Cant even describe the food. We’ve binned everything & ended up making our own dinner, will not order again. Food was under cooked, some things still frozen inside. Chow mein was gloupy and just smelled off spring onions gravy was disgusting.

Simply the best Chinese takeaway that I have ever ordered from. The premises is immaculate. The staff are always friendly. And the icing on the cake so to speak, the food is quite simply amazing. My personal recommendation is the combination satay…it’s to die for. Never had a bad experience. Long may it continue.

We were up in Glasgow on the way back home from a show in Aberdeen. It was my wife’s birthday and we thought we would try the Chinese, my wife ordered Sweet and sour Cantonese Style chicken and plain Chow mein which was ok albeit a bit salty. I ordered special Chow mein, unfortunately this was not to my taste, I have never experienced meat gravy with Chinese food, this is normally left to a Sunday dinner, it was also very salty and to my surprise there was bacon inside which made the saltiness worse. Subsequently most of it went in the bin..

1st time trying and I have to say the food was fantastic and a great portion for the price will be ordering again .

Just moved to the area and made my first (and certainly not last 😋) order on Monday night. This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had, every dish was excellent. I ordered online and it arrived within 15 minutes. To be fair though I did notice the following day that they are around the corner from my house, so I think I will be walking to pick up in the future 😂.

Tried a few things from the menu and so far so good. Really nice, recommend the chicken chow main. The curry rolls are beautiful too.

Edited after initial review : Only moved back to area recently and have used several times. Service price and food have been excellent. Order is always curry extra hot chips and fried rice. Cannot fault it at all. I would recommend you try for yourself. UPDATED : Unfortunately I will no longer be using this establishment, initial review was 9 months ago and I have ordered up to 3 or 4 times a week. 2 days ago I tested positive for covid and was unable to leave house. I called and asked to have delivery and pay when I was clear as I am unable to get cash. Unfortunately loyalty is of no concern to the owner and was advised they would not do it. They have no obligation but would have thought a customer who had used them so much could have been trusted and a little understanding from the owner. Feel all the friendliness from David the owner was fake and a tad two faced.

Tried this place out today for the first time, Outstanding value for money! Will be back. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Delighted to have found this place a couple of months ago. Every meal we've had has been top notch and last night's was absolutely delicious. Best Peking ribs, even though I'm not the biggest fan of them but hubby had to hide them from me! Main was roast pork and duck in a soy sauce. Just sublime, my hubby actually phoned restaurant to say how good it was. Definitely 100% recommend this gem.

I work around the UK so get to visit far too many takeaways. I can honestly say Ho Wongs is the best by far for Chinese takeaway. I always head here when I'm in the area.

Lovely food and staff are really nice

Absolutely love this place, the food is always cooked to perfection 👌🏽 really tasty, there portions are always to the maximum they can be 😉 as well as a beautiful peace of delicious batterd chicken & crispy spring roll as a FREE treat from them 😁 The gentleman that answers the phone (David) is so pleasant and goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy and satisfied. Highly recommended you will not be disappointed.

Best Peking Duck in the area, And excellent service

Waited for an hr and 10 mins phoned up to ask if it would be much longer to be told they where just about to make could I wait another 15 minutes 😂 was swiftly canceled phoned my usual place delivered within 15 mins . Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering as this seems to be a common problem with them and reading his reply to some customers are very unprofessional. I would choose your reply to me carefully david 👍🏻 it if you can't keep up with delivery's stop taken on orders !!!!

Ordered on the website , order was accepted over an hour passed so I phoned to be told it wasn't even made they are busy and can make it within 5 minutes , so if it can be made within 5 minutes why did I not receive it at all, what a joke I ordered because the reviews are good and have never tried the food what a way to entice new customers , won't use this place.

Local business man with great work ethic and looks after his regulara. Could not recommend the crispy chill chicken high enough!

Lovely, friendly, wee takeaway that has a restaurant attached. Delivery times and waiting times are very acceptable and portion sizes are superb - even down to the wee extra "free" items in home delivery or collection.

Had tried many restaurants in local area they where good .but some had ether changed cooks or quality of food. So gave ho wongs a go and have never been disappointed in food, quality ,freshness and taste/delivery people friendly and courteous

Waited for over an hour however the food was really good and I got an apology. Takeaways are under a bit if pressure during these times.

Only tried Ho Wongs a month ago but now we get a takeaway every from here weekend. Food is lovely, staff are so polite and friendly and the shop is spotless! The facility to order and pay online then collect is great plus there’s even a call to tell you the food is ready 👏

Bellshill has a lot of takeaway restaurants and after my usual choice gave me a meal to forget, I decided to try somewhere else. I ordered beef curry and boiled rice with a chicken noodle soup and twenty minutes later my order arrived. Big portions, prawn crackers and a piece of fried chicken at no extra charge accompanied my meal which was full of tender fresh beef covered with a nice sauce which was not too thick.

We have been buying our take away for some time and have never been less than delighted with the service. So as it was my wife and her sister's birthday recently I booked the adjoining Silk Road restaurant for dinner for all the family.From the moment we arrived until we left(absolutely stuffed) We were treated like royalty. I would like to thank David and his staff especially Gillian &Nicola who looked after us so well.I honestly can't recommend Ho Wong And Silk Road highly enough. For quality and service they are quite simple the best around. Thanks again David.

We love this place! We have ordered from here a few times now and the food is always of top quality. As regards to some of the other reviews about 'original Chinese food', I am Chinese and know authentic Chinese food. Ho Wongs' food is authentic and so tasty especially from the Chef's recommendations menu. My family and I eat from ho wongs all the time - absolutely love the food, service and people! Brilliant across the board. We’re Chinese so the negative reviewers commenting on the food must not have good taste buds! We used to go to a Chinese restaurant in Glasgow city centre before we discovered ho wongs so more convenient going here and the same type of food and quality as a traditional Chinese restaurant. Would highly recommend eating here and ordering G from the chefs recommendations!

I have tried many Chinese takeaways in bellshill and some good some not so good but decided to try here and it did not disssapoint! The food is so fresh and portion sizes are brilliant! Really don't think I would go anywhere else now. The last two times I have ordered we have always received a surprise freebie of chicken wings and spring rolls which is a nice touch. Can't fault this place at all, definitely my new fave place!

We have just finished our first ever takeaway from Ho Wongs and all the food was BEAUTIFUL! And there were a couple of free items included with our order (a gorgeous spring roll and delicious salt & pepper chicken wing - not to mention the bag of prawn crackers!) The chicken noodle soup was packed with lovely, succulent chicken and tons of noodles, the chicken balls were out of this world, really soft and fluffy batter on them and the chicken inside was soft and juicy. And the roast duck in orange sauce was the BEST my sister had ever eaten, and that’s something! Will DEFINITELY be repeat customers of Ho Wong’s after tonight’s first takeaway!

If I could give this 0 stars I would let’s start off with the menus THEY DONT SELL CHILDRENS MENUS a mean what restraunt doesn’t sell kids meals also the staff we’re rude the food tasted like microwave food and the Fryed rice was not cooked right.

Never tasted Chinese food this bad!!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this restaurant! Food quality 1/10, service 0/10, staff 1/10, hygiene 1/10. Believe me or you can find out yourself.

I just ordered Fried rice curry sauce and portion of chips,,, what came was reheated rice,, brick hard and reheated chips ,, absolutely vile,, wouldn't serve this to a dog!!! Trying to upload a picture of this ! 3 bits,, nearly threw up!! Avoid

Very disappointed! My experience here was shocking, got a takeaway, waited far too long for food when I got it the packaging had a hole in it, chips was like cardboard rice was disgusting and very overpriced, would not recommend

Had a meal, couple of hours later started getting headaches, which i usually do if I eat food with MSG (look it up what it is if you dont know it). Terrible next day headaches as well. Had to skip work cuz of food poisoning after having the chicken which is too good to be true for 7 pounds. If you value your health visit a proper Chinese. Very unhappy about this big time.

The chow main was ok but the rest of the food was awful. traveled all the way from glasgow to get the food and had to bin it.The sweet and sour sauce was runny and the batter was so thick when you opened it there was a discoulored small piece of chicken that looked rotten.

got a takeaway from them and i was major disappointed,been before and food was ok,i think its the usual with asian restaurants these days, they use the cheapest chicken they can get there hands on,the rest of the food was garbage aswell,NEVER be back.

I really want to know if all of your guys have tasted Chinese foods before? In fact, it's horrible and tasted absolutely different from the original Chinese food if you have ever tried the original Chinese food. It's so disappointing and it's quite pricey for this quality of food, definitely wouldn't recommend. We had the beef rice and pork curry rice. It is my first time seeing long grain rice in a Chinese dish. I didn't spend 8 pounds for a Chinese rice dish with cheap rice!!!!!!! All the dishes were blend and tasteless. It was just unbelievable, please don't waste your money on these food.

Ordered food and the delivery guy sat outside the flat texting on his phone while my food went cold, took him 30 mins to travel 1 mile and my food was cold and dry and could not be eaten. Foods usually good but I'll never order again becuase of the delivery guy. Should get money back

This place is a joke! Ordered my food then had to wait over half an hour to actually get my food. There was a young girl working behind the counter whose attitude was terrible. Speaking to customers and the delivery drivers, like they were daft and beneath her. She should be papped in the back to work so she doesn't have to interactive with customers and employees if she can't do in a respectable manner. Don't think I'd bother going back to this place!

Visited this so called restaurant for something cheap and cheerful. Firstly no complimentary prawn crackers offered. Secondly I ordered spare ribs and the presentation was awful plus the sauce over the tiny ribs was a basic bistro gravy sauce. My husband and then waited about 30 mins for our main meal and at that I glad noticed that customers who came in after we arrived were being served before us. My main meal eventually arrived and my husband's came 5 mins later. I was under the impression both meals should have been served at the same time. Not even an apology or a complimentary drink. Would not recommend and won't be going back

It was recommended by a colleague. Food was amazing. I had a proper Chinese food in Europe after long time. We ordered Chicken Satay, bean sprouts, beef and schezuan chicken.

I have been to Ho Wongs many times in the past and each time has been an absolutely terrific experience. The speed at which you're seated, and your food is brought to you is nothing short of miraculous, considering how good it tastes. The food is fresh, delicious and incredibly varied. Each time I go I try something new and I've never been disappointed. Last time I had a great evening with my family and I cannot wait until the next time we all get together for a meal there
