Best Chinese in Coatbridge, I have been eating here for years and it never disappoints.

Food absolutely great as always. Very busy tonight, but service very quick, so no complaints.

Thourghly enjoy this Chinese. Never had a bad one. And has the water chestnuts in meal that most don't have in my choice of meal these days !!

Sauce was poor, overcooked chicken, and cold, spent over £25, i could have gotten better food from mcdonalds for less than £4. Do not spend your money here. Got ribs way sauce and it was dry. Not worth there asking price

Good quality basic chinese takeaway a bit more expensive than others in the area but better quality food.

Got a special chow mein from here last night. It was very poor, it went in the bin. It had a horrible gloopy thick sauce over it which was extremely bland and tasteless. This used to be a very good takeaway but it seems to have gone right down hill over the last while, can't understand why it seems so popular. I wouldn't recommend.

Ordered a char sui chow mein - bland noodles, dry pork and rib sauce over it. Rotten. It has ham in it too which means it was actually a ham chow mein which they've just added the dry pork and sauce too. Go somewhere else, I'd suggest Superfoods in Bailleston.

Love the food, its my wife and i's favourite Chinese but its an absolute joke trying to get through to place an order. 9 out of 10 times its engaged... The times you do get through.... They don't bother answering!!

Love this place, it's always been my favourite Chinese takeaway.

Haven’t ordered from this place in years. First of all it’s cash only 🤔. Curry dish and sweet and sour dish was nice, but could have done with more sauce. I asked for my chicken satay to be separate from sauce, and thank goodness I did. Sauce was like a watery gravy, never had anything like it , got poured down the sink. I was left to eat tasteless boiled chicken pieces. Fried rice was nice though, but were could you go wrong there really.

Popped in here drunk one night on the way home, and absolutely loved it. Phoned again the week after (in case it was just drunk love), and found it to be outstanding! One of the best satays around

After waiting for over an hour for delivery what a wasr of money. Got beef and black bean sauce sauce watery no flavour. Chips greasy and hard .fried rice dry. Do not order from happy Chinese total ril off.

What a rip off! Charged £4.00 delivery for an order 8 minutes up the road and said it was because it was outside Coatbridge which is a joke because this place is in between Coatbridge and Airdrie. Didn’t mention when ordering what the delivery charge would be either. Total waste of money. Definitely won’t be ordering again.

Always busy, takeaway food is nice and seems new owners are keeping the high quality of food. The outside shop sign is looking tatty which may be offputting for some potential customers.

They have both amazing chicken and beef curries as well as the best chicken chow mein I've had. Speaking of chow mein, the portions huge!!! Well worth the price. They're fast, they never get orders wrong and the prices are amazing. Zero complaints, I recommend happys to anyone that asks if I know a good Chinese take away. Really can't go wrong ordering from here. Unless you don't like Chinese takeaways of course.

Eaten here for nearly 30 years.. never changed or faltered great food. However they have opened back up since lockdown and its now the worse ever! I gave them a second chance by ordering again and the second time was worse... im gutted I used to love this place

On a visit from Aberdeen we had a lovely Chinese meal king prawns in batter are superb and the soft noodles , great service, pleasant staff and prompt service , they never fail to please.

Phoned a delivery 1 1/2 hours ago non apologetic ... this is the second time in 3 weeks that I’ve waited nearly 2 hours for a delivery from this place and it ain’t no where as good as I used to be ... that’s my last order that’s for sure scandalous not as if it’s the only chinese around

Used to love Happy, but ordered a kung po chicken, clearly can’t make one as it was sweet and sour chicken with cashews. Couldn’t eat as I am allergic to pineapple. So thanks happy, will stick to curry in future.

enjoyed the food but service can be a bit slow. missed won ton soup but the beef curry and special chow mein were brilliant.

Love this place, the quality and and portion size is fab, definitely our go to place in Coatbridge when we want a Chinese delivery! Sometimes delivery can take a long time though it has to be said!

Best Chinese in the area I have found. Good food, fast delivery. Only real complaint is they don't offer beef in black pepper sauce as a menu option.

I order from this takeaway a couple of times a week and always amazing and better than any other takeaway but last night was disgusting. After ordering takeaway it arrived quite quickly which was a surprise as normally long wait. Was plating the food up when noticed that I had got two fried rice instead of one boiled so rather than ring up and wait on another sending out I cooked my own boiled rice. Then I plated food up and started to eat. By this point the chips were soggy, cold and also the curry was too. I thrown the meal away as couldn't eat it. I then rang the company up to complain which I spoke to the manager and gave me the worst customer service ever. Rude, obnoxious and point blank refusing to give me my money back when the food was wasted. Only way he would give me refund is as if we give all the food back and in it's cartons that it came in , as I explain it was in the bin. He decide that he couldn't do anything and put phone down on me 3 times. I explained that as a value customer that I ordered lots of times a week and only this once I have found it a bad experience, you would rather lose customer than own up to the fact that the meal did not be worthy to standards for £21.30. Will not be going back if that's the way they treat customers, it's a shame.

Never had a problem with this place, always been satisfied. But tonight was disgusting had a special fried rice, egg shell in the egg and the prawns were past their prime evidently. Won't be back.

I have been using this Chinese since it first opened as my dad used to go here for our meal when I was a kid and I just continued on with the tradition... It really is the best Chinese in town as I did try some others but they are not a patch on the happy. Would recommend it to anyone

Food is always good and fast service its a great carry out needs decorated but it shouldn't put you off. Getting parked beside it can be a problem because of the double yellow lines but your only in a short time!

My favourite has to be the Singapore fried noodles. The food are always fresh and good portions too so sometimes it can get quite busy.

Chinese food of choice. Always great food! Very busy place however and sometimes you can be waiting for a while. Do not deliver to anywhere is the nearby town of Airdrie which is a shame due to the close proximity.

No soy un come curry pero mi marido traído a casa un pollo al curry de esta tienda y Dios mío que lo probamos y nos encantó tanto dos noches más tarde regresamos por otra. muy concurrida fantástica tienda de comida

Always excellent only downside is delivery times similar to previous reviewer had a bad experience with being told one thing and truth being over a two hour wait. But hey food more than made up for it when it eventually did arrive.

going in to get carry out or getting a delivery I have always had good experiences with happy take away. I would recommend it to people getting a Chinese takeaway.

We have had takeaway from here a number of times over the years and the food is great, prices are reasonable. Delivery is normally fine but we had a bad experience of waiting 2 hrs for delivery although we were told 45mins when I put in order! 45 mins to an hr is acceptable time for delivery especially on a Saturday night otherwise we would go and pickup ourselves, i called back after an hr and a half to find out what was going on only to be told that I wouldnt have been told 45 mins as they were really busy but the guy checked and had to apologise as the person who took order did say 45mins to me even though he shouldnt have. It is a busy place due to the quality of the food and the only reason for my good score and mainly positive review is the fact that we have always had good experience in the past and food is always tasty, when the food eventually got here the plus side was that taste and quality was great as always or it would have been a very different review. I would eat from here again and recommend to others but will advise double checking how long delivery will take and decide if you can wait that long otherwise go and pickup.

Family run takeaway,well established,I've been eating out of this Chinese for over 25yrs,very friendly staff & excellent choices on menu wdnt go anywhere else.

I'll admit to only trying a few of the things off the menu, but the things I do get from the Happy are superb! The curry sauce is thick and tasty, the meat as good as in any Chinese (real beef, not that watery jelly-like stuff that some places pass off as beef), the chips are nice and thick and go great with the curry sauce and the fried rice is well cooked and tasty. I usually get pancake rolls too, big fat things with loads of meat and veg wrapped in a crunchy, but not dry, batter. Anyway, aye, for a curry I'd say it's head and shoulders above anywhere else locally!
