Ordered takeaway as not many Chinese takeaways open on a Monday night. We didn't have a menu leaflet and the lady on the phone kindly and patiently found the items we liked and found them or suggested similar dishes and quoted the prices We ordered and the delivery arrived on time ,hot and delicious.The prawn crackers were so tasty We recommend trying

Do not eat here if u have allergies we asked about gluten free they said they do all there dishes gluten free suitable for celiac well this just wasn’t that case my partner is now been poorly all night and has either been cross contaminated or has eaten gluten I don’t recommend for allergies

Chinese is always on point, pretty consistent, we've never had it come out tasting different which is perfect. The owners are lovely, the girls at the front too and their delivery drivers.

Such a shame! Have used this takeaway for years but the food tonight was such a disappointment 😞 crispy honey chicken was rock hard and tough to eat, not sure there was any chicken in it! 🤢 sweet and sour sauce like jelly, weird 😕 think we will have to find another Chinese take away 😪

not as good as it used to be we used this place for a long time then suddenly chow mien seems to be dried out like it's been zapped in a microwave

Many better Chinese Restaurants in the area. This one is very unhelpful and doesn't make up for it with decent food.

The best in clacton. Been around for ages & they take debit cards so you can be safe in the knowledge they’re paying most of their taxes, unlike all the other places in the area.

Started ordering from here a few months ago after looking for a change from our usual Chinese, yi hua where the food is always amazing. At first the food and portions were amazing. Then we started getting only 4 ribs for over £6 but the rest of the food was amazing and full of flavour. Tonight we have ordered Chinese food that I can only describe as dog food, as a matter of fact even the dog wouldn't eat it. £30 for flavorless, bland noodles, overcooked meat and a curry that definitely didn't taste like curry, come on ho lok you've been in clacton long enough to know customers won't come back if you continue to scrimp on the ingredients. Will be going back to yi hua.

This is the best Chinese in Clacton. The food is always hot and fresh and tastes great Mick the delivery guy is a credit to them too, he is always polite, friendly and smiling.

The food was amazing. My family do not eat a lot of Chinese food but as far as I have tried this is the most authentic and delicious by far.

Always very good, but the last twice I have ordered not as good. Chowmein seems like the noodles have been boiled rather than stir fried, very pale and soggy, go back to the original way please.

Avoid avoid avoid do not order. Are food and was missing item phone and they re send it out but saying we never order it even tho it was read back to us when order and was paid for . Food was very expensive. Chips come hard . Chicken balls come benrt and hard .food was not nice atall . We ask for no spice as kids was eating it all food come with red chilli's. Salit and chicken was very chewy .we order are food over the phone and food was at are door in under 10 mins .to fast I think hence why food was horrible. Will never order again and would avoid this place as very expensive and food was not nice at all .they said they would give us a re fund was about to and then the manager said no and that they will call the police. Definitely not worth 1 star. Not worth the hassle guys go els where not worth the money

First time I have visited this take-away. It has limited on street parking but they will delIver. Small, covid secure waiting area had comfortable seating. Extensive menu, polite Chinese lady took my order, only had a short wait for food to be cooked. Food was up to standard and they accept credit cards.

After having a couple of dodgy take away from different places, we decided to try somewhere new. We will definitely be using this place again. The food was the best we’ve had and will be using again in the future. Plus the delivery wasn’t late!

We orderd special fried rice, prawn crackers chips and curry sauce, our freind told me that knox road Chinese shop always serves in small containers and she was right, not only small portions I counted four prawns and some other white meat definitely was not chicken, White processed meat, with egg and peas, nothing special about the rice, plus the curry sauce was thick hot spaciy gravy and the chips was refried, not very good food I won't be back,

Worst. Chicken balls. Ever. - the pastry wasn't cooked on the inside and the oil must be really old as the flavour was awful. Everything else was edible I suppose but really not worth the single star I've been forced to award it. Don't get me started on the sweet and sour sauce that stunk of vinegar to the point it stung the nostrils!

Very disappointing. As usual fast service but food arrived luke warm and there was more Batter on the King Prawns than prawns, this is not the usual I am afraid

Food was cold spent £23.00 and they forgot my prawn crackers curry sauce and barbecue sauce was the consistency of water, so run of my plate. My delivery come 20 mins after ordering, stone cold.
