Premier Inn Clacton-On-Sea (Seafront) hotel in Tendring

Stayed for 3 nights from 22nd Oct 2024. At first we were at room 115 - the room had a leaking shower splashing water all over toilet. They moved us from a family room to a smaller room - 125 🤔. The room was stinking and full of dust. The room key was not working and had to go to downstairs reception at least 10 times in 3 days 🤯. The staff never said a ‘sorry’. The only positive factor was the chef who was polite and was always ensuring to fill the breakfast buffet. Overall very bad experience 👎

We stayed in room 125 fri to monday, air con didn't work and on sat morning we asked reception and it was set at 24 degrees at their main control and they said they would reset it but it didn't work the entire weekend and the rooms were hot and uncomfortable and no windows to open. There were 2adults 2 children in our room and no drawers or storage for underwear and clothes, wardrobe space was tiny. This hotel was good for its location but the worst I've stayed in for rooms and amenities. Reception was hardly ever manned and it seemed to be the staff who were also working the restaurant who were also reception staff and already busy. Disappointing stay and for the money we paid too to be uncomfortable in the room.

The room was okay except for the bathroom door not locking. Free WiFi signal was quite weak, parking fee was probably unnecessary for guests staying at the hotel. breakfast was good but the food was running out quite quickly and a lot of guests had to wait a while which can be improved a little. There was lots of things to do around the area so it was an overall nice weekend.

Very disappointed, the room looked really old and tired and a little grubby. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work, there wasn't an iron or a safe, main USB socket didn't work either. Had to go and get tea bag's ( and towels )from reception area before we could have a cup of tea, or a shower. We were asked how many egg's we would like for breakfast and how we would like them cooked, then when we went for breakfast in the morning, we were advised that they couldn't provide any breakfasts because they hadn't got a chef ???. Then they charge you to park your car ??? I won't be staying here again.

We arrived on Saturday 27th April and was met by Ashley who was on the reception. The computer system hadn't updated if our room was ready, so he went up and checked. It was done. We then had dinner and was disappointed with the menu as not much for me and only one thing for my vegetarian wife. The good was LOVELY anyway. Was amazed that Ashley was helping out in the restaurant as well as the front desk. We think Ashley is amazing and he made our stay good. We stayed in room 204 and had lovely view of the pier. Will definitely come back when down Clacton. Well done.

Room clean and tidy. Facilities are more than adequate and in good order. Staff were approachable/helpful. Breakfast options cater for all. All in all, it was a good experience. But I personally felt that the £139 a room per nigh was a little on the steep side for what I got. On leaving, I felt the £3 parking fee was unnecessary

Perfectly placed on the sea front rooms where clean and tidy

Lovely hotel and location. Nice dinner and breakfast. Cannot complain for the price. Yes I would recommend this hotel.

Bad night sleep bed s made noise every time we turned over .and fan kept coming on .hardly no sleep

Amazing service from premier inn again we was welcomed by 2 people on the front desk we wanted to check in early which they help us with Amazing service by the people who helped us on 3rd Sunday and Amazing service from Kelly who helped keeping us on one floor after wanting to stay longer perfect view of the sea front in both rooms definitely recommend to my family and friends and will be returning again

Had a wonderful stay at this premier inn, the rooms were spotless, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff and the duty manager were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be going back!
