Ho Lee in Barking and Dagenham

I tried Ho Lee for the first time this evening and ordered directly (rather than the JE delivery platform). The prices were also a bit cheaper. It was delicious! It arrived ahead of estimated time and was hot and very tasty. Will definitely use again.

Food was tasteless. Chow mein had no chicken. Was disappointing

Ordered from here last night was vile has gave me an upset tummy Chips looked like they were re cooked rice tasted burnt chicken balls over cooked tasted burnt curry sauce as flavourless All order here so don't no what happened will not be ordering again

food took ages to come and when it did turn up it was cold never again

Food was very nice apart from miss our chow mein which phoned the restaurant and they redelivered it and had a bottle of drink extra but the delivery needs to be a lot better that was the main down point

when I ordered it I received a email saying they accepted the order with not time when I was receiving the food, it just came it was all cold even the soup.

Really great service and value for money. When I made the order I had a 60's moment and ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, but requested Curry Sauce instead of Sweet and Sour Sauce. As soon as I realised my mistake I contacted the restaurant and was told that they would change that part of the order. Within minutes they rang me back to inform me that the order had left the restaurant so they could not change. Very good customer service.

Another great meal, well coocked and hot. Not a problem about delivery being a few minutes early or late as can be affected by circumstances out of their control. Courier is also polite and efficient.

My first order on Just Eat with this restaurant, as the Chinese Restaurant we normally ordered from was closed. The food we ordered was excellent, hot upon receipt and the portions were large. The cost was a lot less than we had been paying previously. We will definitely be buying from this restaurant again & highly recommend them. 😃😃😃

Fast service top quality food and great prices

Ordered food on a Tuesday evening and it was supposed to be delivered within an hour. Took 1.5 hours and arrived stone cold every single dish apart from the soup. Ordered egg fried rice and we got plain rice with one small bit of egg in it totally flavourless not even a little dash of soy sauce or garlic powder on it to give it some flavour and colour. This take away has seriously gone down hill. They offered 20% on next order as way of an apology but I wouldn’t waste my money getting food from them again. £45 down the drain. Avoid.

Enjoyed meal …but soup consistency was not to usual standard tasted like added thickener was added.!!!would it be possible if In future syrup was served in its own container so you could add to your own taste.Too sweet unable to eat it.

Ordered usual duck in black bean souce and this time it was only onion and peppers in a souce, hardly found any meat… really disappointed ☹️

Came early which was great but when eating it we found out why, rice was so under cooked not only did it have crunch but a microwave rice would have been softer! Chicken was very chewing so that wasn’t cooked fully either. Disappointed, was told this place had great food. Not a fan.

Only ordered 4 items, they forgot 2 of them, half my order missing, tried ringing a few times but it was just after their closing time so no one answered, and then too top of it the only chicken portion I got was inedible disgusting, couldn’t chew through it, quality of food and service is POOR!

The food was not nice unfortunately, the king prawn fried rice was soggy and no peas, prawns were undercooked… the squid was soaking in oil and there was only about 4 pieces the rest was onion.. not nice wouldn’t order again.

egg fried rice was plastic rice. Didnt like it. the lemon chicken was okay too, not great. chowmein was nice and mixed vegetables were basic.

It was late and cold driver said next time contact the shop and they would deduct delivery, but may now look elsewhere

Have ordered with this place a few times, but tonight it changed, the pork chow mein had bits of pork not slices like before. Also the order was dry .shame because the past orders were good and clean tasting.

the food is cold and soggy and has all had to be heated up in the microwave which has made it more soggy. I would not recommend ho lee. I had a message saying the food was on way at 6.18 it arrived at 7 o clock

I always get takeaway for me and my kids. The portions are always very large compared to other chinese takeaways. Max I spend is under 20 or 25. Always get the chicken chow Mein my kids favourite and king prawn for me. The king prawn chowmein is the best I have tried. Its very saucy with fresh vegetables on top. Highly recommend.

Great value for money and the food actually has taste which is rare with most Chinese these days.

Made an order on just eat at 6pm, saw quite a lengthy wait time of over an hour seeing as the restaurant is maybe 10 minutes of a drive from me… the food arrived an hour and a half later, instead of receiving special fried rice I received some sort of salty gravy and veg soaked rice which was inedible, and the special chow mein swimming enough oil to keep a generator in action for a month, and to top it off there was a long black hair in my food, seeing as I have short hair this can not be mine! Avoid this place at all costs, there is nothing “Ho Lee” about the place 🤮

I phoned up and was told that the good had just been cooked and would be 5 mins. chips were cold. chicken balls were rubbery and I couldn't even it the chow mein. I specified no bean shoots or veg apart from onions. Well I think I got a whole bag of bean shoots inmy chow mein which resulted in them going straight in the bin. I will not ve ordering from here again.

bit disappointed with some of the food this time and portion sizes was on the small side. Hoping that next time we order this won't happen and that the portion sizes go back to how they waa before.

considering its only a 4 minute walk away the food was only just warm. wldt get it again from this place

Raw chicken.. luckily i have a toddler whos food need to be chopped up, or this wouldnhave been served to my 2 older children. The rest of the food was cooked, quite flavourless but i am used to the poor food quality dagenham and surrounding areas have on offer, all the food went in the bin as we were unablento enjoy outnl of fear we would find more raw meat. I spoke to the restaurant they were apologetic andnthe lady said a driver would put the money for a refund through my door since i paid cash and am unable to travel.. i made her aware i will be moving within 2 weeks.. so since i have not recieved my money back after allowing a generous amount of days, i am here writing this 1 star review. I DO NOT reccomend this restaurant. Imagine you order from uber or deliveroo and they refuse the refund lile they regularly do, or you are in the same position as me, paying cash and can not travel to collect your refund. Its not worth the risk.. plus if you dont have babys you may not be as cautious serving the food and end up with serious food poisoning..

Twice I’ve eaten from this place and let’s just say it won’t be the last!!! Beats London prices and the food is on point x
