HJ's Diner in Great Yarmouth

Cane to Great Yarmouth for a family day out and decided to give HJ's Fish and Chips a visit this afternoon, Sunday 30th March. From the outset I can say I was very impressed. Staff were very good as they took my order. For my children, 1 regular battered sausage and regular chips and one regular sausage and chips for my other daughter who is gluten-free. One regular battered sausage and regular chips for my partner and one regular cod and chips for me and also 4 pots of curry sauce and 4 bottles of drink , 2 coke , 1 sprite and 1 dr pepper all for a very satisfactory price as well. The food was excellent. The battered sausage was perfect , not too crispy but not too soft, either. The Cod was exquisite and thoroughly tasty and perfectly cooked with perfect batter. The chips were great, too, as was the curry sauce. 10 out of 10. Had a round of ice creams from their ice cream parlour, and once again, the staff were great , even providing ice cream for our dog archie, who enjoyed the dog ice cream, which was also available. Highly recommended if anyone in the area to pay a visit. Thanks, HJ's Fish and Chips, for a great service.

the best fish and chips i've had in a while friendly staff and a reasonable price and portion we ate inside which was clean and tidy due to being a bit on the chilly side to eat out

OHHHHH MYYYYY GOSH THAT WAS THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD AND I AM 58 YEARS OLD I CAME WITH A GROUP AND EVERYONE RAVED ABOUT HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS FOR ME THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! GORGEOUS QUICK POLITE AND GOOD SERVICE JUST GREAT!!!! 100 OUT OF 10!!!!

Without doubt the best fish & chips and doughnuts in yarmouth. Clean premises. Friendly staff. Dont waste your money eating anywhere else.

We had 2x battered sausage and chips, saveloy and chips and a 10 foot sausage (it was 1 foot but was huge) and chips. Food was delicious and the friendly staff had the order ready in under 2 minutes.

Great staff - lovely food Don't get me started on that footlong battered sausage! It's a must have when we come each year, Did say the staff are great? Chips👍🏻 Burger 👍🏻 Fish👍🏻 Chicken 👍🏻 even a Oi Oi Saveloy. mushy peas, curry sauce.... Ok I'm over 150 miles away and wishing I was here for dinner lol making myself hungry now. Might not be the "cheapest" on the beach, but quality its the best. Will keep coming back here year after year!!
