I was told it was a 45 minute wait for collection. Arrived on time waiting a further 15 minutes before being told it would be an additional 20 minutes. Many other people had been waiting just as long. Asked to cancel the order and the lady behind the counter laughed and said come back tomorrow

Best Chinese takeaway in town! Always delicious food that never disappoints. Good choice menu and if stuck with deciding what to get then set meals would be a great choice to go for.

Phoned hings with an order that was ( we were told by them)£76. When my daughter went to pick it up she handed the woman £80 pounds as they will only take cash. She then told my daughter it was £84. She would not give my daughter the £80 back and would not give her the food until she gave her £4. She had to drive home get more money, the food was all cold. Would not go there again. ( I don't know how they get away with only cash payments)

We always come to Hings. We used to live near West End London and had access to some wonderful Chinese restaurants, but since moving into Waltham Abbey this is our first choice. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Recently Hings has closed for holidays, and because we really fancied Chinese food we thought we’d try another in the general area. For 2 persons it cost us just over £40 and it was the most unappetising meal we have ever had. The rice seemed to be left over from lunch menu, the won-ton soup redolent of dishwater with slimy dumplings and the remainder of the dishes were barely recognisable as Chinese cuisine. Never again. If we want Chinese food in future and Hings is closed then we shall go without.

I do not recommend very long waiting times for delivery. Other than promised. The client is tricked.

Had a takeaway delivered. Took an hour to arrive. Person taking the order was pleasant and ordering was straight forward. The food tastes lovely and was hot when it arrived. I always have duck with pancakes as a starter. I prefer it when it comes on the bone and I shred it myself as it seems moister. Just a personal preference. But It came pre shredded in a container. The chow mein came in a small container which I'm used to coming in a large container from other takeaways. The price didn't reflect the smaller portion size. Overall it was a nice tasting meal. Nothing spectacular with slightly small portions. The prices was competitive with other takeaways.

Our 'go to' Chinese when we fancy a takeaway. Make sure you have cash though as they don't take cards.

Small but clean and well appointed and decorated restaurant, it seemed quite busy for a Sunday evening which is always a good sign. The service was swift and friendly and the menu is pretty standard with all the dishes you would expect. The food was plentiful and tasted very nice indeed. I would recommend it.

Jasmine has no on-site restaurant at this time but they provide a great takeaway service. Their food is tasty and well cooked. Unlike some local competitors, they do not skimp on ingredients but provide plenty of good quality ingredients, including a good quality of the meat you expect as the mainstay of the dish you have ordered. Nevertheless, they have maintained good prices, inevitably periodically increasing sensibly as necessary but still maintaining very good value for money. Good, healthy, tasty Chinese food is sensibly priced without cutting corners! I recommend their Singapore rice noodles! Even though at peak times it can be difficult to get through on the phone, it's well worth just going over there, and they do provide a prompt and efficient service.

Great night at Atesh. Food and drinks were very good, and the service was excellent. The live singer and DJ were great, the only downside being the actual singer kept letting a 2 customers sing karaoke style. Would have been tolerable if it was 1 song for fun but they sang loads and even when the love singer had gone, they kept getting a mic and singing songs horrendously. Would defo come again and hopefully the live professional singer will be the only one singing!

A friend and I went for a meal last Monday 30th January. We arrived at 8.15pm and our order was taken very quickly, but not one thing was right. Both my friend and I ordered the vegetable and pasta soup, which on a positive note was delicious. However, my friend did not receive his at the same time. He waited patiently, then after ten minutes asked where it was. The waiter apologised, admitting he had forgotten. I had finished mine by then as my friend had asked me not to wait for him. For the main course, my friend ordered the vegan spaghetti bolognaise and I ordered pizza. My friend said his meal was tasteless and could have been hotter, and my pizza was barely warm, so I sent it back. I was promptly told that nothing could be done as the kitchen was closed (at 10 past 9?) so I mentioned that surely he still had access to a microwave. He commented that they don’t usually put pizzas in the microwave (Erm - I wanted it warmed up) but he did. For too long, though, as it was tough and inedible, so left it. We also asked for a jug of water. Along came a small jug despite there being two of us, and two dirty glasses, so we asked for two clean ones, which were then provided and should have been provided in the first place. Back to the jug, it was clearly a jug for one and not enough water for a whole glass each. For dessert, I ordered tiramisu and my friend ordered cheesecake, both of which were fine, but we had expected dessert spoons to eat with, not teaspoons… We had a 25% off voucher, which was why we chose Prezzo, but we will not be choosing the Buckhurst Hill branch again. The staff seemed in a rush to get rid of the customers who were left, so we didn’t order coffee, nor did we leave a tip, nor will we be returning, despite not being charged for the pizza I didn’t actually get to eat. Appalling service from a well-known and reputable chain.
