Caffè Nero in Epping Forest

Good place to grab a quick coffee or a bite to eat although food tends to be a bit same as anywhere else. Nothing really sets this caff from any other cafe on the High Street.

Went there on Saturday. Sign on door saying “closing at 2pm”. Just shut it permanently.

The cappuccino and hot chocolate were good. The cream bun was amazing. The facility could have been cleaner. I was rather surprised that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to my bill without my knowledge. There really wasn’t any service provided other than putting our drinks on a tray for us to carry to our table ourselves. I probably would have left something if prompted.

Coffee shops are expensive. Period. Whilst if you have an offer or discount the coffee becomes better value, the food is not cheap and sits at the top end compared with other chains. The staff are great though...service with a smile and a bit of chat every now and then. I can't fault them at all.

No problems normally, but I ordered an iced latte, and requested a straw, to which the server (a young male) replied in a sarcastic rude manner "just so you know, your not supposed to drink those with a straw". Not sure why they felt the need to say this wether they were having a bad day or not it was bad customer service, Never had any problems with any if the other staff they are all lovely.

Has wide doors and lots of seating - which is very helpful if you have a pram. I feel I can sit in here for a while and breastfeed my baby and feel comfortable. The coffee is lovely.

One of the Lady’s stuff is all the time look like she don’t want to work. She always look bored, if she don’t like this job why she is there??? Is really not professional.

Disgusting attitude on a Thu morning. You need to go an complete a customer service course at entry level. You are beyond rude! I have visited many Nero shops but no one kicked me out as soon as I entered the shop. I will never come back here. Why would you spend your time and fuel to be questioned?! Is it your shop? You dont own anything! It’s a public space, one, and number two Mum wanted to eat first because she had blood test. Caffe Nero - this is your employee. 🔚I dont think we deserve such behaviour. Also, people having dogs in here with their food on the table and they expect people to eat food on the leaked the table?! 🤢 really?!

Incredibly rude staff, served the wrong thing to my friend and then came up to me having a go about my friend whilst she was in the loo. Terrible service.

Can stand in line for a while, but probably the best coffee in Epping High Street. Can easily spend £20 on coffee cake & sandwich. Be warned though, can get busy.

Visited around 5.30 pm on Thursday 16th of May hoping for a hot coffee in a relaxing environment where I could catch up on my emails. But the untidy long haired female that served me was very abrupt and discourteous to the point of being rude. Coffee was thrown at me without a napkin. The place was cold aparently because the staff could work the air conditioning and I couldn't get an internet connection whilst inside the place. Stayed 5 minutes just to down the coffee. Not impressed at all and unlike the many such establishments that I visit very regularly

Very run down and tired looking interior, not like my usual experiences in High Barnet and Finchley. A young lady was laid on the Chesterfield , feet on the chair, watching something on her phone loudly, mentioned it to a member of staff and he just shrugged his shoulders.

Assume the tables and floors were dirty due to only two staff working on xmas eve. It may also explain why we were served in paper cups when drinking in. However there is no excuse for plastic lids to be used when drinking in. Every customer removed their lid after walking 10 feet to their table. #thinkoftheplanet

Excellent food, drink and atmosphere, couldn't fault it! Love the relaxing music in the mornings and the Brazilian coffee is excellent, by far the best around.

I went to Caffe Nero on 11 April 2021 spent £20.10 for lunch with my husband and as a heavily pregnant person before I left I asked nicely if I could use the toilet and was told no. I had my big belly out and a visible pregnancy badge displayed on my chest. I was shocked and said ok, thank you and left. I went to Costa a few doors down and they kindly let me use the toilet even as a non-paying customer. I will never go to Caffè Nero again.

Staff behind the bar was a trainee but she tried hard and managed to serve everything correctly after double checking with another staff member. Helpful people.

As every coffee shop these days there are pensioners and mothers with kids being the main customers. You can`t get rid of crying kids and on top of that apparently the policy allows pets too. That was a little toooooo much for me - there were probably 10 % of all legs, at the time I visited, owned by dog`s. Common!

Really delighted to see new vegan additions. Tried the chocolate salted caramel cheesecake (which was as good as it looked) and will try the raspberry croissant next time. The staff told me there was also a vegan meatball sandwich and other vegan things savoury and new on the menu. Wonderful. Happy me!

I love the pistachio frappe they do, they’re amazing. They are dog friendly. The last time I went in there it wasn’t as clean looking and I don’t understand why the hand dryer in the ladies is so high? You end up with water running up your arms trying to dry them?

Always pop in here when we are in Epping. Especially as my little one loves a babycino! I much prefer Caffe Nero coffee, to any other of the coffee chains. This is a good sized one, with good toilet facilities and plenty of seating. I had an Iced Latte this time, as it was hot out, and it was perfect! The girls who work here are always friendly and service is quick.

Dropped in for a quick drink & a sandwich after picking my daughter up from work. She was hungry. I had a chicken salad sandwich & hot chocolate which was one of the best hot chocolates I've had recently. My daughter had a Bacon & something panini (light on the bacon) but overall both nice & tasty friendly polite service. So will go back again.

Weather you just pop in and out or take a seat the staff will kwickly remember your order for next time and a bit of friendly banter it all makes for a good experience

Good location cofffee shop shame about the new employees rude and unhelpful people need to learn how to speak to customers. Coffee shop is dirty and in desperate need of a refurbishment especially the toilets you would of fault the local tramp lives in there.

Not a fan of Caffe Nero as they don't pay their taxes... but other options were shut. Good staff - can blame them if their employers are tax dodging c☆nts.

A complete personnel change has taken place in the last few months: whereas the previous staff were welcoming, their replacements are not. The cafe closing time given on this site is still shown as 6pm but the staff now close it at 5.30 and they are forthright in their demands for customers to leave at that time. A pity: a few months ago, I would have given it at least a 4-star rating.

Used to be a great place to have a coffee but there has been a complete change of staff recently and it is just not the same. Poor service and now dirty. Shame.

Nice little coffee shop for a beverage and something light to eat in Epping High Street.

The medium coffees are in very small cups and the prices are far more than Costa Coffee. I will not enter another Caffè Nero.

Smart - stylish - clean - friendly knowledgeable - relaxed - comfy . One of the first cafes to provide free water. They know what background music should be. A little pricey but worth it for the relaxing vibes
