Wow ! Incredible. Will definitely order again

this is the worse meal me and my family have ever went to eat the gravy tastes like coffee the meat tastes rotten or something the whole meal was a deaster they shouldn't even be allowed to serve people that nasty food worse meal ive ever had in my life even a child said it was nasty after one moth full BINNED

Missing Yorkshire pudding not much veg and meat and the beef is so dry . Usually a good carvery but not impressed with this one at all .

Lovely food as always but only one slice of beef and half slice of turkey the meat portion was very poor the roast potatoes were very undercooked. Normally the best roast ever but this time just average not a lot of anything and Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes in the same box as they should be separated as they were soggy

ok so went for lunch on Thursday 8/8/24 and thought i will buy something a little more expensive so opted for the chicken combo, my wife had a small carvery and my daughter had the fish and chips, my chicken combo for £12.49 stated on the menu southern fried chicken skewer, 2 chicken breasts, it came with indeed a cheap frozen chicken skewer and 1 SMALL chicken breast cut in half CLEARLY with a few frozen cardboard chips, when i called the waitress over and explained this she wasn't in the slightest interested and just stated that's the way it comes! this may i add was by no means edible, it had black char lines on it like it had been char grilled but was clearly taken from a frozen bag and badly microwaved until it was shoe leather, i complained then to what i thought was someone senior who eventually said after much arguing that that's the way it comes she would get me another breast, this was obviously rushed and was like trying to eat the sole of a dead rhino! the fish and chips was only tilapia and tasted like it was dragged from the local carp pond oh and there was an argument at the carvery from another lady that purchased a standard carvery but only got small carvery meat, if you read this then you have been pre armed! this is saying something now but you are better off stopping at McDonalds!! and i know what people are going to say "you need to complain at the time so they can mitigate their losses" I DID

Like it here carvery excellent staff very friendly especially mo on carvery who was very helpful. And victoria.a the manager who sorted something for us.this is one of best farm carvery pubs we've been to.

Have been here twice now, today with lots of family. The food, especially the carvery is fabulous, and very reasonably priced too. It's a bit of an odd location but we'll worth a visit. Today we were served by Brooke, who is fabulous, great with the kids, very attentive and helpful, what more can I say! Also, all of the other staff that we encountered were great too, but didn't catch their names. Well done!

Excellent friendly place ,great food great staff

Staff are super friendly and polite can't remember last time someone called me sir. Our waitress paige was ultra efficient and helpful but the star was definitely my farm giant burger cooked by jason it was definitely the best burger I think I've ever eaten. So thanks to all at hillfield farm can't wait to go back

4 of us went last night 6th August for my birthday and a lovely assistant Named PAIGE served us what a nice pleasant lady asking was everything ok with our meals with a big smile and my husband remarked it was my birthday she must have told the manager as they bought me a piece of cake How kind thank you for your kind gesture we do actually come to your place every week 👏👏👏

We visited Hillfield Farm for dinner after a charity run to celebrate. The restaurant was almost empty and we were asked if we had a preference where to sit, we said we would prefer a window seat, we were denied a table in the nice light part of the restaurant as it was an eight seater and we were only 4, we were ushered over to a dingy corner which had a window just past the table (the corner was dark and not very inviting bringing the mood of our group down), on being seated we noticed a couple sat at a six seater…they weren’t denied because there weren’t 6 diners. We ordered using the app which was ok, we noticed that the food choice for vegetarians was limited and the menu didn’t seem to have changed in years. I ordered the beer battered fish, on first glance it looked dark but I put it down to the poor lighting in the corner. On starting to eat my fish I found it over cooked, the batter was rock hard and I felt I would break a tooth on some of it, I ate the fish inside, during our meal no one came to check if everything was alright. We decided to visit the cake away to take 6 pieces of cake home, we decided on what to have then waited at the till, there were 2 members of staff on the bar at this time, a young man and an older lady (manager?) I stood with my daughter at the till and the lady proceeded to serve a man standing next to us, she then served another 2 men, I told my daughter if she served another customer then we were leaving, sure enough she served yet another customer, that was it! We returned to our table to get our belongings and was about to leave when she came over and apologised, too little too late unfortunately, we refused to spend anymore money in there and shall not be returning. We have visited Hillfield Farm many times over the years and have noticed a decline in the portion sizes and quality of the food during the last few years, we used to enjoy our meals and always visited the cake away but no more, we shall find somewhere else to dine at in future.

We traveled from Leamington spa due to visiting family. Popped in for a snack on Fri 26july and we went back today 30july.for the carvery again and there's no words to say how amazing it was and the price's were at amazing prices aswell the desert. But what made it just an amazing place is the staff there especially Victoria she went above and behind to help us with dinner and drinks this women is just amazing with the perfect staff too 5stars and above for this amazing pub THANK U SO MUCH. jy and Sonia 💯❤️💯👍

We were passing through the area on a Saturday afternoon and found this place when looking for somewhere to stop and eat. It was literally the nicest carvery we've ever had. Everything was fresh, it was all nicely seasoned and the meat was very good quality. There was also a really good selection of veg.

Too much variation on carvery servings, if you are a woman, you get bigger portions than what a man get even when they pay to have large carvery, on the flip side the steak I had was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely as was the giant eclair.

Perfect place to meet friends, chat over a fabulous meal (great choice for all tastes), and a glass of something. The staff were attentive without being in your face while dining. A special mention goes to our waitress Sarah, thank you. Also, Brooke and Paige, who brought our food, checked all was well. But a special mention must go to Dan, the chef who food-wise excelled himself. Finally, the chocolate pudding with ice cream is to die for. You must try it! Well done all.....see you soon

Victoria and the team are lovely. Shout out to Dave, too. The Hillfield is a great place to relax and have a laugh with colleagues and mates. I won a Carvery from their Macmillan envelope lucky-dip. Wow! The carvery was lovely.

Food was lovely and served by very friendly staff

Outstanding value, very large pub but nicely laid out to make it feel cosy. Staff are all very friendly. We have visited twice now and been very impressed. Both times were a Friday evening, and on both occasions, the pub was fairly quiet. I can't comment as to the service when it is busy, but we have definitely had no complaints. Portions are large, there is a carvery accompanied by a seperate menu, so far we have not tried the carvery but we do fully intend to. Do not miss the giant cakes for dessert.

We had a lovely family meal today, wonderful service (Victoria) from a friendly and helpful young lady. Two had the weekday menu which was a three course meal whih we simply couldnt finish, superb value for money. I had the steak and ale pie which was as good as any traditional country pub. Highly recommend for a warm welcome and relaxing lunch.

We came for a Fathers Day lunch and had a great experience. Excellent carvery, every single aspect was perfect, and the customer service from Niamh was friendly and efficient.

Good carvery and a la carte options. Monster cakes and decent ice cream. Mid week carvery deal is great value. We come here regularly 🙂

First time going, meeting a group of friends. 7 of us in total, we all had wonderful customer service. Food is served quickly and piping hot. Excellent food choices, drinks and the puddings, choices of gorgeous icecream and the cakes! Portions are more than generous, we took leftovers home. All such a high quality. We will 100% be returning. We all loved our meals and deserts. No faults at all. Even free parking for up to 3 hours, or all day at weekends.

Great service from all the team. Moved us to. A different table because we were cold and very attentive service all evening. Great puds too!!

What an amazing pub never been here before ,we had a party book for 30 for an 80th birthday,the manager in charge Kirk was very pleasant from when we entered, and throughout, also your other staff was too It was clean and tidy and the carvery was absolutely the best one we've ever had the carrots and parsnips was spot on not raw like most carverys we've been to,service at the bar was quick ,the manager Kirk made it extra special by offering a piece of cake to the birthday lady which made her day extra special we will definitely be back again

Great dinner out with my family! This was not our first time at Hillfield Farm, we’ve been there many other times and it never disappoints! We’ve got carvery and cake for 10£, and we did have to take home some because the portions are massive! John took our order and he went above and beyond to help us in processing the order. Reasonable prices and carvery was hot and delicious

I ordered two meals and one turned up. I called the pub back and was fobbed off !! we order from there most Sundays as we work Sundays. will not be from now on!!

Carvery is fab, also our party had mixed grill and steak which they really enjoyed. The apple pie needs to be better, it was rock hard and barely any apple it would be good to change that.

Visited the Hillfield Farm for Sunday lunch and opted for the carvery. Great choice of meat and vegetables, all fresh and piping hot. The puddings are amazing too!!! As a disabled guest, I was really impressed at the service I received, all the staff were lovely, helpful and polite but I would like to give a mention to Victoria who carried my drink, arranged help to carry my carvery and opened the door for me when leaving. All of those things are difficult to do with 2 crutches so the help was invaluable. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We had a family meal here on a Friday night, we did not have to wait for food and John on the bar was fantastic for us. He was kind friendly and very quick with his service.

Went to visit family in Brum today and went to Hillfield Farm for a carvery, beautiful restaurant fantastic carvery, the family also chose different things from the menu. Quick service. John behind the bar very friendly and helpful. My 1st visit and my brothers 3rd visit. Travelled up from Portsmouth. Week worth a visit.

Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Today in particular we came in very late but the staff kept the carvery open for us and Andrea even got us ice cream after we had finished. Food was lovely as always.

I came for a carvery today with some family and I was seated by a lovely girl called Talia, she was very helpful and I appreciated how she always asked how us as a table and the food was… she was very welcoming will be coming back soon!!

Very good value for money. Used the app to order at the table, which saved time and was easy to use. Only slight problem came with ordering dessert - it worked in the app, but didn't get through to the kitchen. Sorted out quickly by the barman, so not a big problem.

Great carvery food as usual. We went at 6pm on a Sunday and they were still replenishing the veg bowls, keeping them nice & fresh. I didn't waste any of my mountain plateful 😂😂. And the wife's sticky toffee pudding & custard is a real bowlful too (no half measures like other places). Only slight downside is the waiting time to get "checked in" standing by the lecturn for a good 3 or 4 minutes before someone notices that you're there. And only one or two bar staff. But may have been between shifts changeover. Anyway, won't stop me going again 👍

I organise a small business breakfast here occasionally. Victoria and her team are so welcoming. Great food and value for money. Lots of car parking and quiet enough to chat to people.

Went in to collect a tooGoodTooGo breakfast. I arrived at 11.13. Collection between 11 and 11.15. No staff anywhere to be seen. Had to walk round the whole past to finally be approached by the woman manager with dark hair (5ft 7/8) to be told there is no food more me that I have paid for due to it now being 11.17 because no staff where on the till. No refund. Spoken to like I was lower infornt of customers. Very disgusting attitude by the woman clearly not customer service skills. Regarding the reply. Everything was done. Reason where was a problem was because there was no staff there to supply. place sticks as well.

Love this place great staff and food has always been fantastic never had a problem here with the carvery menu can not vouch for the other food. Only come for carvery.

I have been here many times over the past 2-3 years and have always enjoyed the food, service and lovely desserts up until my last 2 visits in the past month. I was there again today and I must say that the service has deteriorated on my last visit a month ago and today the service was again far too slow when waiting in a massive non-moving queue for the Carvery. There is only one person serving Cavery to everyone which obviously isn't good for Customers. Very disappointing.
