Good stock of plants and goods. Perhaps they could hold a few more budget options on things, as some of the branded stuff can be pricy.

Plants look half dead but they're still charging full price for them! The toilets are also a health hazzard. All in all it's a place to avoid in my humble opinion. I love garden centres but this one is possibly the worst one I've been to in years. Plants look sun scorched and dried out, haven't been pruned and generally look totally abandoned. I'm not sure how the owners decide on a plant care routine, but if I'm paying £12 for something I'd like it not to be half dead! Think I'll venture back to my tried and trusted place in Bourne End. Might be more expensive but the quality is superior.

Visited on Saturday 17th August Only really popped in to get breakfast on the way home from High Wycombe. We were given menus as soon as we sat down in the restaurant, there were 4, maybe 5 staff on at the time. We waited 20-30 minutes listening to the staff chatting and laughing behind the counter and in the kitchen, there was only one other customer there......we got up and walked out

Good selection of plants easy to navigate well laid out.

I had the fish it was cooked up perfect and the service was top marks

At The Limes Cafe here for the first time. Attentive, pleasant staff and many good food and drink options. A little more expensive than I'd normally pay, but the food was plentiful and nicely cooked and presented. Will definitely try eating here again.

For its small size, it packs in a lot. However, we were visiting for the cafe, which is in a separate review. We had a look around and felt there was just about enough for basic shopping, but we would go elsewhere to a much larger place for a better range. Hence, this is a good 4 stars.

Garden Centre Is Ok, and the Ironmongers shop is the Best For miles, looking for something and they will have it. 5 Stars for the Shop, 3 for the Garden Centre as the plant area lacks selection and quality.

We have lived local for years and never known this absolute gem was here. The garden centre... stunning. The status... beautiful and incredible value for money. The shop connected... any tool or part you could ever need will be here. Pet shop... lovely.

Hello I am very disappointed with the two young girls behind the counter today 21st April 2024 instead of working to take people's orders out they were chatting it took them 10 mins to get our apple juice to us as all they wanted to do is chat wasn't like it was busy.

Bought an Ooni pizza oven from Hildreths. Great knowledge of product, full range of products available and better pricing than is found online currently. Their range of top end BBQs is also very impressive!

Amazing place with hardware shop where prices are often lower than the web, garden centre, café, easy parking, friendly staff. Deservedly in business for nearly 500 years. I've been buying there for 49 of them. Keep up the good work.

Really friendly nice venue to enjoy a coffee and cake. We are regular visitors and enjoy our get togethers with friends here.

Food has really gone downhill of late

As we had an established garden we usually just topped up with cheap and cheerful bedding plants but we regained a 12ft by 8 ft bed and wanted to do it once, do it right. We chose Hildreths as they are family owned and that's the businesses we like to support and boy oh boy we are so pleased we did. The plants are excellent quality, clearly they had been watered that morning. I realised l hadn't checked the hardiness of one but the young man who served us had the knowledge and advice we needed.This will definitely be our go for annual top ups. Might go wild and try the cafe having seen the reviews 😁

Whatever you need, you can find it here. I have never been let down. Ironmongery, kitchenware, garden maintenance, and plants. The staff are knowledgeable and provide service with a smile.

Hildreths is one of those great places that seems to have everything. Garden centre and hardware store. Living a fair way from the nearest town it is perfectly situated for the communities for whom a trip to town might be an expensive trip for a lightbulb, a hose clip, tomato fertilizer or a wheelie bin number. The staff are very helpful and the garden centre folk have a wealth of knowledge for the novice to the expert.

A really nice well ordered and well stocked place with the ordinary and some very different things definitely worth a visit we bought garden Furniture that we didn't go for But the prices were pretty unbeatable so we had to Have a nice day there a coffee or lunch all very enjoyable

//Update 03-Feb-2023// I have been welcomed earlier and later in day the day when coffee isn't available in other areas of the village. I enjoy a flat white and croissant every now and then. I come here with friends :) The tired items on the shelves seem to be less these days, though the cookshop needs some work. Excellent for getting keys cut - reliable and cheap service with friendly staff. I love that N+P fruits is now there. Good access for parking ------------------------------- I go to the Limes coffee shop generally. Nice coffee, but they still can't do the flat white art I'd like. I generally go here for coffee and I get the impression they'd prefer I was there for food. That said, it's a nice central meeting place in Prestwood and has excellent free parking. Toilets are a little bit to be desired, but ok (at least they have them!). The gift shop is ok. I tend to find that stuff in the shops here has been on the shelves for a long time and is missing a box or might break or some other problem. Cards and gift wrapping are nice. Ups and downs!

Just the place for a coffee with friends

Lovely staff, very friendly and professional. It's a rather odd place, but it has pretty much everything you could ever need.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff make a trip to Hildreths an enjoyable experience - but be warned! you may not set out with plans to purchase anything from here, but will always find something useful or unusual in the china shop, ironmongers or garden centre.

Limes cafe, very expensive! Stopped for breakfast and the full breakfast was £13, the sausage and bacon very dry, only margarine available for the toast, £2.80 for an extra sausage! The was staff friendly and the coffee was nice but I wouldn't rush back

Agood well established ironmonger

To call Hildreths a garden centre is misleading. Apart from plants and garden paraphernalia, there is an excellent hardware shop and above that a cookwares store. If ever I need a more unusual item for the kitchen they usually have it. Also a range of quality crockery and glassware with friendly service. The latest addition to the car park is my favourite fruit and veg shop N&P Fruits. Here you will only find farm fresh produce with minimal soft plastic wrappers and the best eggs available ( at least in Bucks !) You won’t be disappointed

Absolute gem of a place. Great prices, superb selection adding in the convenience of the traditional hardware store. Buy the nuts, washers etc you need, not a pack of 100 for 2. In a day and age of so much waste being able to buy what you need is the way forward again.

Hildreths is our local garden centre and we've been going there for many years. It also has separate hardware store which is very well stocked. Very good parking and friendly staff. I've dropped them one star as they are quite expensive.

Met up with a friend for coffee, ended up having brunch. Food was lovely and well presented. Staff were all happy and service was very good.

Fantastic place. Been going there for over 5 years. Our house has many many things from Hildreths. Excellent customer service and Ricahrd is knowledgable, friendly and always happy to help.

Everything to do with gardening and DIY they always seem to have from bird food to power garden tools down to a nut, bolt, screw or washer. Got something to repair and lost a small screw or bolt. Very high chance they have something to fit. The kitchen and home section is great as well with many good ideas and things you don't find in diy superstores ect. A great asset to the community.

Found what I was looking for. A bit hot in the main building!!

It is a nice place for an occasional visit, but just been in and was rather disappointed. I saw a plant that was not marked up with a price and asked the price. The bloke behind the counter apparently looked it up and said £14.99. I walked around the centre and on the way out saw the same man putting price tags on the same plant for £10.99. I am not sure I can trust the staff In this place.

Good portion sizes, tastey food.

Great little garden centrer a bit over priced in the hardware store. The cafe on site cooks a really good meal and great to have a coffee. The plant area could do with a update to show the plant off a bit better. Staff very helpful and do all they can to help.

My partner and I visited Hildreths Garden Centre yesterday for the first time and I can safely say that it will be the last. The presentation and information about the plants was very inadequate and the staff were unfriendly, abrupt and rude. I think concerning supporting local businesses, this establishment is a very bad example which is a shame for the surrounding areas. More courtesy is definitely order of the day here.

Mandy at the Ironmongers was brilliant. I came in with a piece my window cleaning equipment which was broken. She went above and beyond to fix it. Would highly recommend Hildreths for any DIY issues

We visited cafe food was good service nice and quick overall great experience 👍 we visited gift shop and found it very well stocked with many quality items. Garden Centre itself has nice plants and decent prices.

Lots of choice for everything 'garden'. Took a while to find a trolley and it handled badly with a 2 lots of compost and 3 bags of charcoal in it. They will carry out to the car but you may have to wait if it is busy.

I love coming to Hildreths. I came for breakfast and a browse with a friend. The cafe looked smarter than it has done in the past and the waitress was lovely. The food was delicious and there was a good selection to choose from. We enjoyed looking through the gift shop and garden centre as usual.
