Omg me and my husband has just been and had a Sunday dinner, it was amazing just like my mum used to make, and the service was excellent Julie and the rest of the staff couldn't do enough for you, would recommend the pub as excellent, really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back .

We haven't been to the Hilcot Arms since lock down and walked in one day last week . Everyone was just so welcoming, from landlord and landlady and bar lady and also the customers made us welcome. Came here as was staying in a local campsite the manager Julie gave amazing service from the very beginning the food was great it's dog friendly and they clearly care a lot about the products and experience they are providing. A great place that's definitely worth the visit even if it's a bit of a way. You won't regret it :)

The wobbly wander and (borrowed) dog were passing by after a walk round and being parched we called in. The Hilcote Arms is a very nice quiet pub in the heart of Hilcote. It has been modernised to a high standard. Wobbly one settled for a John Smith's while the dog settled for the pubs finest tap water. We were made to feel at home with a warm welcome from Julie & Carl behind the bar and the two owners. The pub is dog friendly the bar staff are very willing to make sure that the dog gets a few treats. The pub has a wide range of Beer Lager's spirits and wine on offer. They also serve meals... although this wobbly hasn't tried one the menu seems ok. Well done to all.

Arrived at 8.30pm on a Sunday evening and the staff rustled up some food for us. Really good service & friendly owners.

This is our 5th Sunday visit now & the Roast & hosts are absolutely fantastic. You must try it for yourselves. We know that you will not be disappointed. You do need to book for the Sunday Roast as all the food is bought in fresh.

This establishment has fantastic hosts & staff that really welcome you into their public house. The first time we entered this pub to try one of there highly recommended Sunday Roasts we were given such a warm welcome & the food was very plentyful & the taste was the best we have ever tasted anywhere else (just like your mum made). We thought this was a one off to impress us so we booked again for the following Sunday, We were not disappointed at all. This is now are regular Sunday lunch treat as nowhere else can touch this establishment for everything one is to expect, and the prices are very, very reasonable for what delishious food you get on your plate. I'm sorry Hillcote Arms but you are the best & we recommend you highly to everyone.

Had a family Sunday lunch out today and was by far the best one. The food was all home cooked and plentiful as well as piping hot. Cannot recommend this place enough will definitely be returning and compliments to all of the staff there, they all really do go the extra mile to make your visit there very pleasurable.

Never been in this pub before until passing last night and decided to pop in. Made incredibly welcome when walked in and after ordering sat in the beautiful outdoor area, lots of potted plants, lights and seating with an umbrella if required. Next time I am going to try the Sunday lunch.

First visit last week & was very impressed, a very nice & friendly welcome and traditional home cooked food. Enjoyed it that much that we returned today and had a beautiful Sunday lunch, all home cooked and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit and looking forward to our next visit.

A friend & I dropped in this lovely pub. It was sparkling clean with a pretty decor. We were warmly welcomed by Bev & Brad the owners. The menu catered for anyone's taste & we weren't hurried along either. There was even a juke box, & a pleasant out side area to catch the sun while we had a drink. I've a feeling it won't be too long until we visit The Hilcote Arms again.

These people are like my family. Lively home cooking, like your mum would make. Always tasty, hot and served with a smile. Would reccomend anyone to come here. The Sunday dinner is amazing, a huge plate with everything you could possibly want.

That is the welcome we got. Booked a table for 12 and from the first phone call the staff were warm and tentative.I was looking for a location half way between me and my sister. Coming across this place on line and reading the reviews it seemed like the ideal place. Upon arrival the staff were warm and welcoming. The manger making herself know shortly after our arrival. Saying once our party was all here she would let the kitchen know. Once seated the food came out and was wonderful. A big Sunday dinner with lots of variety. The staff were tentative and even chatted with the children. Richard remembered my phone call and came over to ask if we had a nice time and were we happy with our choice of location. We could not of asked for more and will defiantly be visiting it again. It was perfect for our get together.

Ok so we booked a big late party for my family and Brad Bev and Julie couldn’t be more accommodating they gave us half the pub with nibbles everyone had an excellent time. The locals are hilarious and the staff a incredible I can’t recommend this pub enough it’s beautiful!

A lovely, cosy Sunday afternoon spent here. Friendly welcoming staff... clean... It's a proper pub... remember them?? Food was hot, cooked well, plenty of it... very reasonable price... most enjoyable... Good selection of puddings.. Will definitely be going back.

Good food, very reasonable price, attentive service. Walked in and they accommodated is, which should be booked in advance. It was at the start, so a bit easier to help. The place was busy by the time we left.

Very friendly family owned pub which has now started serving food which always seems to be popular. Very nicely decorated and has recently been totally refurbished to a very high standard. Clientele is mainly 40 + and sometimes diverse. Dogs are welcome and drink is reasonably priced. As a gay couple feel very comfortable in there and always feel welcomed. Some vegetarian options on the menu and I believe they do vegan sausages so vegan cob is an option.

What a lovely place. I always feel happy here. The wine is great value at £11.95 a bottle, and the beer is interesting and varied. The place is just magic. Today I had a burger and a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio and the staff (owners?) were so lovely and attentive. We practically had bespoke burgers and everything was delicious. Can I move in?

Visitted the Hicote for afternoon drinks with the family. The drinks menu is extensive with a good range of beers, ciders and gins. Staff were very friendly welcoming and attentive, There were four generations of my family there and we all had a lovely time. The sunday lunch looks lovely and there is a light bite menu, loads of choice and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning for another visit and the owners told us our dogs would be very welcome too. What a gem this place is!!!

Finally had lunch at our local, recently refurbished our local is now a warm and friendly pub. All staff are welcoming and go the extra mile to make your visit a good one. Sunday lunch is great and fresh with several sizes of portions. Would recommend you visit our village local and can't wait for them to extend their meal times and their new menus.

Lovely pub recently been taken over by Brad & Bev, it has a lovely friendly warm atmosphere, Brad has done a fantastic refurbishment, very tastefully furnished. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple and staff, very helpful & friendly, Sunday lunch is lovely and you get great portions, cant wait till they start doing different menus, you know it will be good, this pub is great for the village.

This is a lovely pub. It is warm and welcoming. They were geared up to serve couples on Valentines Day but made me a curry especially since I was on my own. It was delicious and the real ale superb. I recommend you give it a try.

Lovely place, lovely community Very welcoming we broke down in the area with young children and had to wait for recovery for 4 hours. They welcomed us in and offered A warm meal for the children. The community was also very friendly. Will definitely be returning

Stopped off for a Sunday lunch with my family had a fantastic meal the staff couldn't be any more helpful and obliging.A nice pint to boot would gladly recommend to anyone and will be visiting again soon.

Llamamos a las cinco de la tarde el sábado por la tarde con la esperanza de una buena comida casera de pub, que estoy seguro de que podría haber ofrecido. El Hilcote es obviamente popular con familias locales y la comida nos veían salir parecía bueno.

El título lo resume todo. Excelente cerveza, comida casera increíble a precios sumamente razonables. Todo el mundo nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos e inclusive no residentes que estaban en el pub en el tiempo. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos muy pronto. Muchas gracias a Big G!!

Typical village pub,just a few locals drinking,soon as you walk in people look and stare,cannot,think why any passes by would use this pub.

Hemos comido aquí en muchas ocasiones, como una pareja, con nuestros tres hijos pequeños y como un grupo grande y cada vez la comida y el servicio ha sido de primera! Sin volver a conectar a cualquiera, mucho mejor que cualquier otro pub alrededor!

Después de tener buenas noticias en el hospital decidimos celebrar. Esto era sólo la segunda visita aquí, la última de ellas es la cena sorpresa de cumpleaños de mi marido a principios de este mes. El personal era muy acogedor como antes, pero nada exagerado. Me decidí por el filete de cadera 8 onzas y todo estaba delicioso, mi hijo la hamburguesa de papá y dijo que era "el mejor" y mi marido tenía el desayuno durante todo el día que disfrutó. patatas fritas caseras genial y el tamaño de las porciones, volveremos de nuevo. Nos encantó.

La gran comida recién preparada en un pub de valor servido con una sonrisa. pastel casero con todos los adornos y una pinta por sólo £5,40 . Cada chip es en realidad revestidos de verdaderas patatas, no un congelador! excelente el domingo para almuerzos. Vamos, intentarlo!
