Highfield Fish & Chips in Chesterfield

Just ordered a shoebox from there and they’ve tried charging me £32 nothing but robin knobhead I would not ordinary anything from there at all ever ever again they are nothing but a bunch of robbing knobhead avoid the place like the plague

not all my order was delivered items were missing

Supposed to get a free garlic bread with any order over £18 and did not receive when asked said that they dont do that so clearly need to update their menu, quite rude….

Stale chips Fish wasn’t much better ,time to find somewhere else I think

unfortunately the food we ordered was not good at this time The meat box 10" was dry the Donner meat was very hard the chips was also very hard and the chicken meat was too hard to even chew it was very over cooked or like it was reheated more than once this is the first time of my complaint as usually it's fresh and hot and enjoyable disappointing really as we couldn't eat it. Also the mini fish chips and peas meal deal was also very cold 👎

chips were cold and crunchy, they hurt my teeth. garlic bread was poor tasting and dry. spaghetti was generally unpleasant

Good quantity of food, small chips did 2 people comfortably.

Amazing food, full of flavour, highly recommended.

Worst takeaway I’ve ever tried. Also rude staff too when I politely rang up asking for a refund… If I was starving and had to pick between eating from here, or eating my own arms. Then I would be no good in a Mexican wave

Messy before you even open the food - gravy over all the bags. Chicken nuggets soggy, Chocolate Gateau still completely frozen. Burger was lovely but needs tomatoes in the salad. Probably wouldn’t order again.

Just terrible. Worst food ever. Do not order from this place, your wallet and stomach will not forgive you. Took 2 hours to arrive and the food was awful.

Absolutely shocking!! 2 hrs late,food was cold and tasteless. Chips were so greasy The fish actually didn't taste of anything. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The battered sausages tasted lile they had been warmed up in the microwave. Was nasty. My dog ate one then threw up. One of the worst chippies I've ever had. Won't be ordering from there ever again

Pizza is a 10/10 as normal always have the best pizzas but my chips that are normally good tasted stale and old and my cakes were still frozen my partner got bad toothache after not realising and biting straight into it but other then that normally I’d give 5 stars

Carbonara was more like onion pasta. No bacon and so so so many onions it wasn’t edible. Didn’t have my drink and instead of calling to see what we would like instead just put a random drink in. Very disappointed

I came across this lovely place on my hunt for fish and chips on a Sunday at 4pm. I was greeted with great service. There was no cod available but the owner cooked some fresh for me and it was delicious. Crispy batter and they do homemade gravy as well. The chips were plump and tasty. I'd recommend it.

1 of the drivers has a very bad attitude! Can't be bothered to climb a few flights of stairs to deliver to my flat door, yet no other driver at any other takeaway has a problem with it! And then starts shouting when I ask why he can't bring it up! Won't be using these again!

Absolutely rubbish, ordered fish and chips and they tasted like they were cooked yesterday, overly greasy fish and chewy chips, tasted like they’d been microwaved. Waste of money! Avoid!

Disgusting food, burnt pie, lumpy cold gravy and old chips. Very disappointed from this restaurant. Called them and they said I do not make the pie, I will send you another one!....ok fine but then what about the rest of the meal!!...........

Ordered at nine pm fifnt arrive till 10 40 and stone cold even after calling there was a "mix up " by which point gone past wanting chippy .....good job mind as it was freezing....just don't bother folks

Being charged £3.50 for delivery which was 30 mins late is a joke. If you don’t have enough drivers for delivery stop the orders coming through until you’ve got on top of your orders

The food arrived barely warm, I rarely order from here. When I order a takeaway it’s supposed to be delivered directly to the door but the delivery driver can’t be bothered to deliver it to my door, instead I have to get ready and go downstairs to collect it. It’s disgusting behaviour, I will not be ordering from this place again. A little advice, maybe invest in quality drivers, maybe then you can retain customers.

Ordered a pasta bolognaise from here and the pasta had a real sweet taste to it and it tasted funny. Had 1 mouthful of it and couldn’t eat any more because it was that bad. Then rang up to complain and the person on the phone was extremely rude. Telling me if I didn’t like it then don’t order again and put the phone down. Would not recommend this takeaway to anyone.

Everything was super greasy and cold especially the kebab meat. Watered down curry sauce that tasted of nothing, fish batter was thick and tasteless plus chips were soggy and full of eyes. Gross

Disappointment only really because we were fancying pie, but wrong pie sent. Order on the cold side, despite not being long at all from leaving. Bag charge but no bag is a bit puzzling, too! 🤔

The fish was massive and it was a mini fish, it was beautiful and the curry sauce was too, the chips were a little bit dry but not too bad. I will definitely be ordering again.

The food was cold and i ordered a mixed kebab but it was just donner meat. It looks like there was the chicken donner in there however upon arrival it wasn't in there.

Food came on time. Unfortunately my jacket was undercooked. The food was cold when it arrived. First time I've not enjoyed the food.

Chips and battered sausage cold. Quality of sausage very poor. No free garlic bread for spending over £18. Offer on pizza buy one get one free but costs twice as much as other pizza places. Delivery was quick tho. But won’t be using again

Waited so long for takeaway....arrived dripping in grease so badly that the paper fell through when lifting it out of the bag. Would not recommend at all....

We found the sauce in the lasagne to be too sweet but the quality if the food was good otherwise. Nice size portions and appeared good quality ingredients.
