Beautiful fresh fish with light and crispy batter and no "mush" in-between. Great chippy chips.Delivered in good time and piping hot.Lovely.

All the food was super-fresh,hot and cooked well.Fish was especially good.Very enjoyable.

I ordered food from this place and asked for a chicken burger, but they sent me a cheeseburger instead. I tried calling them 5 or 6 times before they finally answered. They told me they'd get it right next time, but there was no apology. To make matters worse, the burger had mould on it—it was absolutely disgusting. I’ll never be ordering from here again and will be contacting environmental health first thing tomorrow.

Really poor tasting fish, it has to be the blandest fish I've ever had from a fish and chips shop. The battery was soft and oily and it fell off the fish every time I stuck my fork in it... Poor.

Food was nice, not convinced burger was what I ordered though as there was no tomato and it was spicier than I expected from just Basil.

Amazing!! Will deffo order again! Worth the money although I will add needs more chilli sauce on the kebab was fully loaded with mayo! Other than that was so so good! 5*****’s for me!!!

14 times I had to ring and they still wouldn’t pick up!!! Really disappointed because I wanted to try their food for the first time!

order was delivered on time and all food was hot. Unfortunately the chips were all black and rotten, the fish was dry and the donner meat was very greasy. We have never had issues when ordering food from Highroad fisheries so I can only hope it was a one off however the majority of the food did end up going to waste and getting binned !

I've never had fish and chips delivered before , but this exceeded my expectations. I didn't expect it to be as good as those little dedicated places that close at 3pm haha, but it's not bad at all. I'm just chuffed there's a viable fish n chips option in the area that's open in the evening! thanks I'll be ordering again 🙏

Ordered an LA Lover's burger, which I have ordered countless times previously. This burger has always been chargrilled chicken with hotdog. Tonight it was beef patty instead of chicken and was not very nice at all. I was most definitely disappointed. if this is a permeant change, I will not order again. No choice is given when ordering either.

the chicken was mostly fat and tiny pieces hardly no Donna last few times been spot on today you been a massive let down 33 pound wasted money

Maybe use boxes and half the order would be stuck to the wrapper. Also got to look through a pile of chips that aren’t gonna slice my 2 year olds throat open when he swallows it.

Very nice food the chips are nice & crisp & the fish is very tasty however the fish is small I would rather pay more for a proper size. for the price though I have no complaints. to the owner consider upping the price & size of the fish or offer a standard & larger option

Everytime I order, food is piping hot, lovely and fresh and tastes amazing. Only just started using them and already become a regular. Doesn't matter what you order ie fish and chips, burgers, pizzas, masala fish etc, it's all 100%

Ordered 19:01 delivered at 20:40 fish small and batter soggy, chips under cooked and peas weren’t mushy they were processed, all in all it’s fair to say won’t order again!

I came today and I got there juicy chicken fillet burger meal and it was amazing I felt like I was in heaven

Tried this place for the first time since it has been taken over by new management a couple of months ago. Ordered two 12 inch pizza’s (1 Asian special, 1 hot and spicy), and a cheese burger. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back. Thank you 👍🏼

I was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Firstly I was served by a child who just looked like he had finished a day at school poor lad. He did not know the prices nor did the adult who was cooking the food in his day wear and no gloves or chef garments. I went somewhere and advised I would return five minutes later, but when I returned 10 mins later food wasn’t ready. Took about 20 mins to get chips, a scallop and mushy peas - which when I got home was literally liquid green water - looked disgusting and went straight in the bin. Zero communication given to update me on when my order was ready. Won’t be back for more.

Do not Recommend. Waiting time is heavily bad. Man is sat down just watching and talking to the ONE other person cooking. Children are in the back of the shop yelling and messing around despite the hot oil in the store. Floor and the food table both dirty. The seating they had was 1 singular red stool which was damaged. A child came up front to where the food was being served and made. Once again highly dangerous due to the hot oil. No gloves are warn during the making of food and their hands do not get washed in the middle of touching the counters, bags, children and more. Person who kept bringing supplies in and out without cleaning hands, then touched freshly made food. Worker dropped food, picked it up, threw it then touched fresh food, not washing hands. The pizza we ordered WAS NOT anywhere what we ordered. We ordered tuna. Got plain cheese and undercooked. Probably will go in the bin. Everything tasted like pure oil even things like the burger bun. Which wasnt able to be eaten as the burger itself tasted horrible. Chips were dry and plain yet oily. Didnt finish my food and it got thrown in the bin. So disappointed.  Do not recommend. Also im writing this after my family ate. We dont know if anyone got food poisoning but we all feel unwell from it.

Ordered through Uber. Didn’t get the full order and when we called they admitted they’d messed up the order but that they were closing so there was nothing they could do to fix it. Garbage.

Ordered off of Just Eat and it didn’t even turn up… rang them and they said there’s nothing they can do about it… Just Eat won’t do anything about it either as it’s marked as delivered! Waste of Money!

Do not recommend ordering from here. Not only did they not send the pizza we ordered, they tried to blame the Uber driver. Also the other item I ordered was sent completely wrong! I tried to call numerous times but they wouldn't answer my call. Very disappointing

Used to be good here, worse fish and chips I have had for a long time. Fish the size of small TV remote, chips hard like they had been warmed up too many times and curry like wee. At £7.50, not cheap, will go to one down road from now on.

If I could give them 0 I would, over half an hour trying to get through. Finally get through at 10pm and they’re “closed” glad I dodged a bullet after reading the reviews about their food

Writing the review from the toilet with very upset stomach after eating dodgy pizza from them. Yesterday 1st May ordered pizza, fish & chips at 7:25pm. Delivery turned up at 9pm. When eating pizza me and my Mrs realized the keema (mince) in the pizza is off and smelly. Had to throw it away. It gave us a very upset stomach to both of us and been to toilet 3 times already. Avoid.

Recently discovered High Road Fisheries & Pizza Bar. The food is lovely my favourites fish & chips, the fish is always fresh they chips are big & chunky! My favourite has to be the pizza, recently I’ve been bored of the pizza’s in Halifax, the Meat Feast Supreme is my go to pizza absolutely lovely.

ordered pizza yesterday as a treat and then hours after eating it i was on the toilet for a good hour. not long before i found myself vomiting but nothing was coming out. and today i’ve been to the toilet at least 5 times with diarrhoea. would not reccomend

Called here late on Wednesday, chips were very anemic and tasted odd due to everything being cooked in the same oil? Fish was over cooked and possibly re fried from a previous attempt. Not great? You may have some great reviews from your friends be to be honest you need to try and care a bit harder.

Been here a few times over the past couple of weeks since the new owners have taken over. They have a very good selection of quality products at a good price. Great fish and Chips and Pizza's. They make their food fresh when you order so may take a couple more minutes than other places but definitely worth the wait. Good set of lads behind the counter, make you feel as though you've known them forever. Good food, great service..

Horrendous! Order was 1 hour in told driver was on his way, called 30 mins later driver still on his way. Then they closed and didnt answer the phone, got ahold of them after many many rings 2 hours in to be told theyve cancelled the order 2 hours ago when they didnt! Avoid!
