My friend and I were looking forward to a yummy pizza here for my birthday. My friend had been a few weeks previously and said the pizza was delicious. We arrived and were told no pizza today :( We looked at the menu and were a bit disappointed at the food on offer. We opted for nachos and a giant yorkshire pudding wrap. The nachos when they came would have been better if the dips had been on the side. The giant yorkshire pudding was difficult to cut and we really struggled to get our knives through it. On a positive note the pork was delicious. We would come back here but we'd double check that pizzas were on the menu or would opt for scones and cake which looked lovely. The surroundings are beautiful - we just felt the food could have been better.

A blonde woman who works at this establishment shouted at one of the members of my christian walking group for hopping a stone wall... "have some mannors, jesus crist" she said. How un professional. We came for bite to eat (we came after closing time so didn't get served) , not a mannors lesson. My good friend is still shook up by the sheer rudeness and disrespect to potential customers. Not happy, will think twice before coming to this sh*thole again.

We have just attempted to have lunch at High Paradise Farm, but were shocked and disappointed to find that one member of staff was so unrelenting and unhelpful. After ordering food for four members of our party, we asked if they'd be able to make a plain cheese sandwich for my 9 year old son who is a vegetarian. The only sandwich on the menu suitable was a brie and cranberry sandwich which he doesn't like. After finding out that they did have cheddar, the lady serving us refused to make him a cheese sandwich stating they would only serve what was on the menu. Having worked in catering and customer service myself, and having eaten out hundreds of times, I have never come across such poor customer service, especially towards a child. I'm still shocked at this lady's attitude and feel quite saddened by the experience.

We had been told how good the food was. So decided to try it, and take in a walk at the same time. It was well worth the uphill walk on a very hot day. A small "takeaway" menu with a varied choice. Opted for the home made pepperoni pizza (hold the jalapenos), delicious and messy with a lovely Yorkshire Tea. We'll worth the walk. Will be back, and maybe book a room.

We had a night at High Paradise Farm for our wedding anniversary. Despite the changes that they have had to put in place for Covid the room was very welcoming and comfortable. We had booked the evening meal which was a delicious sausage casserole in a giant yorkshire pudding (very welcome after a hard bike ride). We also had a lovely evening walk around the area and really appreciated the views and peace.

We have been visiting High Paradise Farm regularly during lockdown, enjoying a walk in the countryside and then stopping off for delicious takeaway refreshments. This weekend we took our grandchildren with us. They loved being out in the countryside and having a delicious picnic, but the highlight of the visit for them was Tony taking the time to talk to them and explain different things about the animals, the farm and the area. Thank you for making three children's day, and we will definitely be back!

Just been high paradise farm for the first time. Four us called for lunch whilst walking. The place is quaint and rustic dog friendly etc. However, we queued to get served for half an hour even though the queue didn’t look that big and then waited another half hour for our food which was fairly disappointing. The coffee was little different to vending machine and not too hot. The chicken and chilli panini was quite tasty but the pork pie and lime and tomato soup very poor! The pie was snack size but the soup was inedible. It was tinned tomatoes (saw the tin go through to the kitchen) and I would guess it was just heated up with a little lime zest and slightly blitzed . Disgusting!!!!!!!! The spoon stood up in it and all tried it and all agreed it was horribleI would go back as it is a nice location but they need to sort staffing issues out as it wasn’t that busy.

It's a long walk from Osmotherley to Sneck Yate - and back - so we were delighted to see the signs for Higher Paradise Tearoom and as the hail started for the last quarter mile we arrived cold. A welcoming fire warmed us on the outside and a wonderful bowl of soup did the trick for the inside. We called it a day and returned to Osmotherley so that we could have lunch again the next day, approaching from Sutton Bank, not such a long walk. So different - the weather was glorious and we ate outside - but the welcome and the food were just as good.It is well worth the walk (or cycle or horse ride) to get to High Paradise Farm and we will return.

Arrived just before noon on opening day of season. We had been dreaming about bacon butties for several miles only to find bacon not available after brunch menu finished at 11.30. Our disappointment was soon dispelled when our lunch arrived! Two of us had the home made veggie soup, served in huge bowls with lovely bread. , then ham sandwich. The ham was fab, a really thick slab of meat, but meltingly tender. My husband had the most enormous club sandwich we've ever seen. Reasonable cost and quickly served. There were lovely looking cakes and traybakes which we didn't try as too full! Food and coffee fab and would have given 5 stars if we'd been able to have dreamt of bacon butties! Will definitely go again, but set off earlier!

This was our second visit here after a long and beautiful walk. It has a lovely atmosphere. On our first visit we had salads but regretted not getting the outdoor oven pizzas. On our second visit we looked forward to our pizza but eating it was like eating wet flour and water, the crust was burnt, the base was raw, the dough was so undercooked you could shape things from it. We were offered more pizzas but they were no better but we ate them because we had already waited for long enough for the first ones and we were hungry.

Great for lunch away from the madding world...you have to walk in like finding an offtrack alpine chalet. First the relief of the stop, then the inviting smell of the wood fired pizza oven, then enter the haven to a hearty hello, a cosy homelike hearth and sofas in the stone farmhouse with friendly dogs (your dogs are welcome too) to match yet fesh current styling and artworks around lunchtables on different levels and a stylish mezzanine above the excellent food bar....or enjoy the stone courtyard on balmier days. So what of the food - now there's a treat. Really delicious simple dishes and cakes with quality ingredients and presentation. Soup of the day, Pizza to your selection or a bacon and egg butty that is anything but a butty in such excellent bread garnished by salad. Highly recommended...and a real reward for just a few miles picturesque walk from the lovely Hawnby valley, Boltby or Sutton Bank.

We decided one sunny day to go and meet a friend and have a walk out to paradise for a bite to eat and a drink. After a short (well sign-posted) stroll we came round the corner to be greeted by a group of gorgeous little dogs ....later to find out they were the famous "Sausage , Mash and Stonker!" ...Brilliant names. They got on well with our dogs no problem...A social little bunch. We went in to be greeted in a similarly friendly manner by Ginni, the owner. Lovely, lovely lady. So helpful and nice to talk to. I am a ridiculously fussy eater , (self confessed fuss-pot!) after deciding I would only be able to have a few items off the menu, I explained my requirements to Ginni, who dashed off into the kitchen and created the most delicious meal I have had in a long time.
